How can any of you think 17 year old newcomers or wannabes will do this? They are being pushed by their mentors, this is for sure. Did you people notice how nervous Himani and Hema were, holding each others hands? Why didn't Himani hold Vinit's hand, if he was supposed to ber closest buddy in the competition? It must that jerk HR behind all this. Wait for the Friday's show, we will probably understand more about the drama.

As for the comments on Debo, he has defeated Abhijeet Ghoshal on the way to final 12. I think any person who is considered better than Abhijeet by judges (not by public vote) has a lot to offer than other chutputzah contestants. Hema is the only other one who has a better voice. Other two are just hypes and will never reach anywhere beyond 2-3 movies.

Regardless of all this drama, the person who has it best is Nihira. She already has 3 songs recorded; she has many more coming (Alag); and she is not bound by contract to anyone. Her music career has already begun, and she is on her way to probably a similar career as Shreya Ghosal. Genuine singer.

A lot of people are making a mistake by saying that how can Debujit get 80% votes from Assam?
To those folks - you guys need to go back to geography and understand what 'north eastern states' mean in India.. Shaan also mentioned seven sister states. So these are seven proper states of the republic of India that are emotionally charged and voting for their favourite Debu.. It is completely fair because that is how this system has been.. If this is not acceptable, then the contest should be cancelled or restarted from the Agnipariksha round with some other judgement method.
Why were these questions not asked when people were asked to encourage their region for voting? when people like Rajiv, Paresh (not bad singers but not worth being in the Agnipariksha round) kept on hanging in even when good singers like Swananda, Sharib, Raktima were voted out?
I am not a big fan of Debu but frankly after all this, they should not back out from public voting even if Debu takes the final crown, OR let them just cancel the show and unanimously elect Nihira as the winner just based on shear quality..

I totally agree with "aaftaab" and many others. the whole judging system is crap... 😡
So lets see what happens, It is just a formality now.

I am sure after last night's show debojit will get maximum votes and it may touch upto 60% next.

All the news papers of north east are very much angry after the last show. They all are supporting debojit. It's an insult to Nation.

I think aftaab has made the point very clear that 80% of debo's vote come from 7 different states.. And if u consider the vote for any participant from 7 states, its definately gonna b more than 80%... For eg. If u sum up the votes for Himani from 6 states Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, J&K and Himachal.... then its close to 88% (thats insider info) of her total votes...Now can any1 tell me whose getting more votes from a selected area??? 😆

Most people would tell me that, I have made a wrong comparison, since the population in the Himani's 6 states is a lot more than the 7 North East states... But then you will b surprised to know that the viewership of Saregamapa in the above 6 states is lesser than no. of viewers from 7northeast states + Westbengal... 😕

So people who claim that debo is not India's voice but only North East's voice need to get their figures right... or mayb they need people from other states to watch Saregamapa Challenge 2005!!!
