Mussarat took harkat in each and every word of the song and jo depth Mussarat ke voice main hai woh Shashi Suman ke voice main nahi hai.

Got to disagree with that. The sargam that Shashi did was completely new improvisation and was more complex than Musarrat could handle in my opinion (going by Musarrat's performance in other shows when he wasn't singing NFK's songs, where his performances were quite ordinary).

Let me clear things now....
Mussarat's Version...
Great Superb...No doubt my favrt of all the reality shows...
His power of the high notes is which cannot be matched....
But when he hits the lower part...It is not very powerful at all...
Its quite shaky....Jo usne lyeinkaari li..It was too good...
Its not too easy 2 handle, but the variations he made during that time were not very difficult as well...Although nothing against Mussarat am his big fan...
For those who say that Mussarat's or Kamal's or Shashi Suman's version has been the best all of you must haven't heard Jaspinder Narula's cover...It was the most haunting and sureeli and one of the most powerful gayaki experience I ever had...

Coming to Kamal
First thing his murkhiaan were more crispier and had more clarity than Mussarat's version...And he sung it with more patience. This guy may hav a lot of attitude but patience bhi bahut hai..
The way he has sung Saari Raina Neend Na Aaye in the antara...
Antare mein jo harkatein hain, they are very difficult because pitch and scale kaafi tezi se change ho raha hai
...He has given a Punjabi touch in the song which many of us cannot understand...
He has a very hardcore style of Taans and Alaaps...When am talking about the Punjabi touch...Its very hard thing, most of the people cannot understand its depth in the terms of Gayaki...
And his lower notes were definitely better than Mussarat...

Am not saying Kamal was way better, or a lot better...
Just a little...

main aapki baat se bilkul sehmat hoon.👏

He sang very well, holding notes kamzor the . The punjabi touch was good.

Kaash, iss song mein thode feelings laye hote kamal ka tho yeh ganna kamaal ho jaata.😊

In his pursuit for perfection and harkateins, rooh laane mein chukh gaye😊

Kamal has a greater mastery of the notes I agree and he has refined it. His approach to the song is also softer. Muss is powerful no doubt but he is not as versatile as Kamal. Hopefully he has improved now.
I still like Dr. Neha's magical touch, sung without much preparation.

but kamal did this time...it really was better...
he took it on some whole another level....although mussarat's rendition is superb too...

There is no doubt that Mussarat's version will be in people's memory for long time to come. Kamal did a fantastic job too. I think Mussarat's tonal quality may have had the extra oomph that the song needed.

Besides, this show I watch just because of Kamal and Sniti Mishra - IMHO, rest all are average singers, but these two are in a diff league.

I loved his version. Didn't read the rest of the thread but I think he sang it differently from what I have heard before. I don't think his version was as soulful but he was excellent technically. Especially at the end he introduced variation in the Sa....wre portion by going into high notes. I think that's really difficult to sing in that manner.

You know, I respect your opinions and everything but you have got to stop this self-promotion on the forum. You did the same in II. Like I said-please open a separate thread if you want to discuss personal singing abilities.

To be fair I liked all 3 versions.. Ppl are forgetting here..

Mussarrat's was High Range with hitting notes

Kamal Khan was not that high range.. but a very good..

Personally I loved Fareed's rendition in the audtion rounds.. A pure slow classical version of Saawarey... Wonderful and truly great....

Awesome Fareed
