Sorry! Too simplistic.

Energy = M*C*C

M is mass (the only thing that we know of that has mass is matter)

C is the speed of light in vaccum.

Start with a quark (a sub-atomic particle) and work your way up from there to understand mass.

You wil lfind a ton of videos on youtube which "visually" explain energy.
