The music contest 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge' on Zee is gearing up for the finals. The top slot is reserved for the three finalists - Hemchandra, Himani and Vineet as participant Debojit Saha will be ousted out this week.

Hemchandra states nervously, "I am hoping for a miracle. Everything depends on the public vote and my performance." He has already sung for composer Adesh Srivastav's forthcoming film 'Alag'. "Adeshji trained me to project my voice in the microphone and about the finer nuances of a public performance," says Hemchandra.

Himani, the most buoyant of the three, feels, "The boys will battle amongst themselves, while I will have to prove my individual worth." She is indebted both to Adesh and his wife Vijeta Pandit for having fine-tuned her talent. Himani has sung three numbers for the Sushmita Sen starrer 'Chingari' and has recorded a song each with composers Lalit, Raju Singh and Himesh Reshmaiyya. "I would like to do something for the illiterate in my hometown Faridabad if I win this contest," says the spirited girl.

Young Vineet, whom Kapil Dev fondly referred to as 'topiwala Tendulkar', gets candid, "Hemachandra and Himani are better singers than me." He is deeply indebted to mentor Reshmaiyya. "Whatever I am today is because of Himeshji. He helped me find my own voice. I used to mimic Rafi Saab and Sonu Nigam before." Vineet is nonchalant about failure or defeat, "I have achieved more than I ever dreamt of. I will be happy if I win, but even if I don't, I'm here in Mumbai for good."

Come on all the voters and non voters but who have endured (should it be enjoyed?) the spirited singing of the melodious singer -- himani -- LET'S VOTE FOR FARIDABAD. What if I don't live in faridabad, I equally care for the less fortunates (and I have this 'connection' -- an affinity with illitrates like me). Man who on this earth has the guts to spend the hard earned (1 crore prize money) money on such nobel a cause as spreading education in fellow citizens. Maybe some day some other kind hearted from my surroundings might decide to spend a bit on my education as well......

Damn Himesh!! I knew from the first day that he is going to use the raw vulnerability of poor vinit. Now, what he has put the kid into. How else can he now be able to pay back the borrowings from himesh, especially when, himesh himself is from head to toe in debts, except from the prize money of 1 crore? But, himesh is not coming out of this mess even from this 1 crore. I suggest, they both collectively file for liquidation. May be this way they regain liquidation in their eyes. Don't get? I meant - 'AANKH KA PAANI' ........ jise guzre huye zamana hua.......😭

This is regarding the telecast when Nihira lost. This is ridiculous, what has Indian public thinking got to, cant they even judge quality singers after they have been hearing the melodious Lata Mangeshkar sing for the past decade?

Ameeta, if public voting was counted, Nihira would not have been eliminated. It would've been Vinit instead.

i just got to see the episode in California, in which it was really depressing to see Nihira's outsting. i agree with lot of comments in this forum that:
* she was the best among all the contestants
* she should have won the competition
* Vinit can sing only particular style of songs - as
compared to Hema, who sang "Haye Raam Yeh Kya....",
the Bluffmaster song, and yesterday's song from Dil
Chahta Hai. He can sing varied styles with so much
perfection
* Debu is making small mistakes lately and at this
point, they should be unexcuseable.
* The public voting should never have been a process
to eliminate the singers - that should have been
left for those who work with music day in and day
out - the mentors. Atleast they can see the flaws
in the singing and let only the good singers go
thru to the next round. We've all seen what the
public voting can do - select Kazi and Abhijeet
Savant (over Arijit Singh (Fame G) and Rahul
Vaidya (Indian I))

Overall- very depressing to know where the Indian music is going these days. Ismail-ji blew up and said the right things - I'm with him!

Of the mentors that this show had(have), i think only ID is the one who speaks the truth. HR is bunch of crap and should be ousted by public voting 😛

What is this frustu HR doing? He gives Hema 8?? And you should have seen HR's street behaviour today. He shouted and again asked some nasty questions on Vinit's love. Who are these 2 guys? Who invited them? Kya discrimination hai yaar .. untiring. I wish they showed such a commitment towards good talent. It is now sickening.

omgggggggg no way man...HIMANI IS THE BEST..that is not cool yo...we need to do something..write a damn letter or something...himani sang so well and at this point to get out..is just wrong im sorry this is a biased program and i will stop watching it..cuz without himani its nothing

HE deserved 8 when even at this level this southi cannot sing with correct pronunciations Listen carefully what he sung in the last episode. HAI instead of Hain all along the song. Unpardonable at this stage. Deserved 8.
