I don't think I can agree with you more. Yeh, Gaje*** Singh or who-so-ever in-charge of this show would have made this show much more interesting but adding personalities from the music world, film personalities (only good ones) and also from the Play back singing arena to judge the best candidates. They would have got a wide range of audiences from diff fields and got the average of them to judge the best candidate. If they wanted to involve the public (may be coz of some odd reason of raising revenue of the cellular phone companies which they may have a share of ), that could have also been done, but if they could done a weighted average of all the all the judges decision along with the public. I think I enjoyed the initial days of sa-re-ga-ma where Hariprasad ji and the music legends like them used to pass on decisions in favor of the best/deserving candidates and that added a lot of value to the program.

Being an Indian at heart, very saddened to see the best contestants go like this. I can only conclude that may be Indian public doesn't understand a single bit of 'singing", or being swayed by looks or emotional good talker or rather regionalism kicking in , Its very unfortunate, but its happening. Its time now, we dump the show or public (like us) raise opinions about getting the deserving candidate their dues.

I have been reading a lot about pro sharib and how best he was..
I just put together some info from SGMP2005 abt this:
Sharib :1st round: # thumbs up (AS<HR<ID..note.. JL GAVE HIM THUMBS DOWN)
FOr Gharana He was no one's choice.. thru Diksha round He was alloted JL
2nd round: He got yellow: Gudges:Shiv-Hari
3rd round: He got Yellow again: Judges: OPnaiyyar Kavita
4th Time(bluecard round): He got yellow :judges: I think Pd jasrajand DM (not very sure)

DOesn't this clearly shows that public voting is just replica of Judges choice..Sharib never got green card... his mentors were initially not impressed with him. I don't see anything wrong in him voted out.. he was never the best..and if anyone has a little brain and understanding of music they'll agree to me (except the hypocrates.. who no matter what will keep praising one and keep discouraging people based on looks/status/hype they are given)

Ditto same is for Raktima also she was never the best.. always got yellow and hence public also voted her out
Swananada was also noone's first choice.. she also got green only once and then yellow always..
So I do beleve public is doing fine in voting these out.. these were never the best contestents in the eyes of their mentors as well as judges.. then why people are making a big fuss about this..

I love the program SRGMP. But I believe the organisers have gone overboard with the show. I am not sure whose Idea it is but it stinks! First we have REGIONALISM creeping in.... singers asking for votes based on the region is a stupid idea! MUSIC is universal and above the petty levels of JAAT, DHARAM, etc.. I am not sure why an excellent show like SRGMP decided to stoop to that level! Also I don't agree with comments like - BENGAL votes got divided. When Swananda got voted out, no one commented that MAHARASHTRA votes got divided. This only creats more egos and problems. Let us GET over this regionalism.

Latest show, don't vote the girls out !!! So now we have GENDER bias creeping in as well! Frankly, the person who gets voted out should be based on their performance irrespective of their REGION, GENDER,etc.

I hope SHAAN gets this cue and puts in his two words of advice to MR GAJENDRA SINGH!

Hi... all ..sorry I dint post for a while... And to musicfan Hi..well there were other topics were pple posted that Sharib was out.. so thats how I found out erlier... ... I'am extremly SAD for Sharib... and on the other hand also Happy for him.. coz.. I just read th update for the fridays episode,,.... and found out that Sharib .. has gotten the best REWARD anyone could get.... 😃 😉 😃.....

That is.. that ID: Ismail Darbar... was soo up set coz sharib was out and soo He promised Sharib a ... song.. not only that A song with Lata Mangeshkar..... I was soooo happy to hear that ... Now he will b more in the music industry and thank god he finaly got a break...... Still I'll miss him since I wont get to se him in the contest but... hopefully Ill b the first one to listen to his .. song/.. to let U all knnow... if u don't ...the movie he will be singing in with LM its name is: Pyar Kiya To Nibhana.

SO A LOTS OF WARM AND WELL WISHES FOR SHARIB!!!!!!!!...😃

I think that people are upset because Sharib performed the best in the
last round and further more at this point is one of the best male singers.
I will agree that at the beginning, I did not care for him either but his
subsequent performances really touched my heart (not to imitate ID) so I
think that that is why people are upset about his leaving.

i just have one thing to say about this ,i am not sure ,but i think that except nihira and hemachandra ,almost every body had a rocky road ,while they were reaching the agni pariksha stage.According to you nihira and hema should win?As they were the only ones with a good track record and they are the best.I don't think so.Everyone has something to offer and i feel all of them deserve to win as they are the 12 best.

Raktima and Sharib both showed a lot of improvement and they performed better than some ppl who are still there

I couldn't agree more with gaggo. As the show progressed both Raktima and Sharib made remarkable improvement in their singing. And I somewhat agreed with AS when he use to say that Raktima has a crystal clear voice when she sings. It is really sad to see such good singers go.

i dont know why this discussions sags on and on...
there were hundreds to begin with then 10s now only 9.
i bet there were atlest 10 'better singers on their day' who have lost out
i watch this show because it gives me immense pleasure to see such gifted boys and girls sing
this is no running race where u count sec and milli secs
and if u'all not getting my point just put poll between manna dey and kishore kumar andd lets see who wins..
