no doubt bout the fact that sharib is a very good singer..he is the best in his genre..he sang most of the hatke songs n sang it bettr than the original..lagan lage/aashiq baanaya/allah ke bande/nachlee/tadap tadap. i mean evy singr has their particular genre, n sharib excells in his.so i dont rily think he shud hv been out nw!! n soooo ppl plz plz plz plz pray 4 him, may he make it big quite soon. do pray ..may b u'll forget wen ur actually paryin, so jst take 30s off, close ur eyes, n say - god may sharib get many offes n may he becum one of the most succesfull singers in the ndustry. plz do this now!! plz! for a truly deserving candidate..

I am not really really sure that the SMS method reflects public opinion per
my previous posts. I remember the audience in SRGMP going crazy after
his rendition of Aashiq Banaya - -this after the original singer sang it. In
fact the response was so overwhelming that in fear that HR may have
been hurt, I think that ID has HR stand up and take applause immediately
as the MD for the song. No disrespect to HR who is obviously a very
talented man.

I agree and want to add that Sharib comes from the well known Sabri
family. So I am guessing that between his SRGMP success and his family
connections, he will be able to make a career of singing if he should
chose to do so.

i watch this show because it gives me immense pleasure to see such
gifted boys and girls sing

I think that this discussion drags on because this particular elimination at
this stage appears to be the most egregious error in results to date. Yes
we all have our favorites. In fact my favs are Debo and Hema but in a
competition like this where career reputations are being made and there
are substantial cash prizes at stake, I think that people have the right to
grumble when something seems suspicious or unfair. But let me also say
that given the still superior quality of singers on this show vs other
shows, I will of course continue to watch it.

i take that, but cash prizes that r at stake r peanuts compared to what zee and gaj are generating. so watch out vinit,nihira and deb wil be pampered throughout coz they bring in more then 50% votes between them

If you are talking abt Rajeev, let me tell you.. he got green card twice (that too from diff judges) so public is still with Rajeev than sharib(same as judges and mentors as they showed at diff times) .. same for twinkle..
So if you and opthers feel that Sharib was unfair to be voted out.. there are + 1 more people who feel rajiv is better than sharib and hence the results..

I respectfully disagree. First of all the SMS and even Internet voting does
not necc reflect public opinion because multiple votes are allowed.
Separately, IMHO, if the format was changed to vote out the worst singer
every week, I would guess that Rajiv would have been out. Yes he does
seem to have some fans who may love his voice or his story or both. But I
think that if people had to choose, a plurailty of people would send
Rajeev packing. I am confident that the fans of Hema, Debo, and Vineet
would mostly agree that Rajeev was not up to snuff, Hema, Debo and
Vineet generally sing in tune and more importantly know that it is
important to sing in tune. I am guessing that most of their fans really
find singing in tune an important quality. Well I know that vineet attract
some tenny boppers as well but he is a good technical singer so i would
like to think that he does get votes from a technically savvy crowd as well.
I am sure that most of the fans of these three singers would have voted
Rajeev out before Sharib unless they were looking for a strategic
elmination and then maybe Sharib was the way to go.

No this comment is not to start a fight. Nor do I have anything personal
against Rajiv. I just strongly disagree that most people think Rajeev is
better than Sharib.

The judges were shiv,hari.I think he is one of the best singers.These
things happen in competitions.Many singers were eliminated because of
bad judgements.

Good singer, bad singing on that day. He went out of tune. Let's be
honest -- most of the singers we saw on TV were pretty talented and
most of them have some formal training. So all we can do is judge them
by their performances that day. Juding music by its nature is subjective
unless you go the Daler Mehendi route of counting who went off sur.

I think that one improvement for the future of the show would be to have
a transparent scorecard so that out of a hundred there were 20 points for
sur, 20 points for expression, 20 points for difficulty of song, 20 points
for performance, 20 points fo taal. Not that these should be given equal
weight. In fact, I think that the old SRGM had these score cards for
judges so I am not sure what happened here. That way the singer could
know what to concentrate on.

I also think that it is imperative that the reinstitute the classical round.
This would really shake out the riff raff right away. Also I think that many
of the judges were annoyed that there were so many singers there
without basic training. We expect better from a show like SRGMP.

Saregamapa is a very good medium for upcoming "singers". Please dont cast your vote on the basis of looks because we wont get to see these people singing we will only get to hear them. I beleive Sharib & Raktima are very good singer and its extremely sad that they are out. Ujjaini & Twinkles voice do not facinate me. Vineet, Hemachandra & Paresh are good. Infact I am amzed at the diction of Paresh. Keep it up buds :) Infact Vineet is the best as of today.He has really improved in time. Debojeet and Rajeev can get better. Among the women Himani & Nihira are excellent. I hope the best one wins. All the best to the participants and to Saregama. A well wisher from Dubai :)

First I was very happy to understand HR's choice of contestants for Brahmastra round. He very well explained to everyone. I can understand there were better male singers which were not brought back but those singers had lost to another singer who had sang better on that particular day. The male singers who were voted in had some sort of injustice done to them. I felt HR was pretty honest in his explanation about it & it made sense to me atleast.
I myself just watched the Brahmastra episode in US & I felt Aishwarya sang well, had no breathing problem & also knew how to hold the mike. 😉 I felt Dilshad does need to work on his breathing. He did the best he could with the song since it is not his jonor song. Sanchali & Ujjaini were good. Paresh & Joyeeta were OK. I felt they all should have picked some powerful songs that could leave big impression on people's mind for this important round. Song selection was poor which I felt. I could be wrong. May the deserving contestant come back.

PS: Everyone knows Paresh is married because it is all over on forum as well as he has his own website with his wedding pics. I don't think he is trying to hide it.
