Why is DUM gharana at the rock bottom?

Hello friends,

I am huge fan of Jatin-Lalit. I think they are the most successful among all the mentors (till date). They have been associated with most of the musical hits of 90's. They really deserve to be called 'Melody Moghuls'. They have composed some memorable songs in the films like DDLJ, KKHH, K3G, KHKN, JJWS, Khamoshi, Khiladi, Mohabbatein, Yes Boss, Sarfrosh, Hum Tum (the list is long).

The thing that always worries me is the position of 'DUM' gharana in the SMS rating. This gharana has some talented singers like Swananda, Sharib, Ujjaini, Sanchali, Abhijit. Wonder why the audience is not in favor of this gharana? Is it because the dashing duo are past their prime? Is it because of their comments on the other singers? Your thought please ...

i completely agree w/you Rohan...i feel its not fair that JL kick up a fuss when their contestants get voted off, when Himeshji lost like Aishwarya, Dilshad & Nannu & has still kept quiet & not said anything, & still gives fair comments to all other contestants.😳

From what I can see, JL have the lowest Gharana ratings because they are coming across as very rude judges. They may be right, but it's always about how you say it--- and not what you say. And yes, they do tend to get picky... but then there is also another side of the same coin, and that is the teaching aspect.

From the clips that we are seeing of the student-teacher training, I have found JL giving training with more details. Have seen fewer examples of the others giving instructions with so many tips probably because the others are not doing it so frequently. As a student, I would rather be with a teacher who has an eye for detail & is more forthright, ragerdless of the popularity or rudeness factor.

Himesh all the time mentions abt Aishwarya...so he doesn't really keep quiet.But of course,he doesn't create a scene or fuss.
