Did Babul really get famous after the Kaho Na Pyar Hai song? I would say it's his albums that made him famous.

Kundan Lal Sehgal. The beauty of this song is that it was never sung by Sehgal Sahab in its entirety but spliced together from multiple recordings. He suffered from TB and was nearing death when he tried over and over to record this song. Finally it was put together into one song by splicing the good lines together. It became one of his landmark songs and was played at his funeral.
