thats soul melody filmy genre.. the BEST genre right now.

What's popular isn't always right, what's right isn't always popular.

So, it may be that these punjabi songs, with so called english lyrics may be popular, but that doesn't mean that that's the true form of music. I mean, are you seriously comparing Dance Pe Chance to melodies of the past? Its true that the true melodious songs are a gone era of the past, and its this bhangda/punjabi-ish tunes that have taken over, but you there's no comparison. Nada.

i like those songs alot as well, also suna suna lamha teri raahein tanhan tanha, from krishna cottage, but i like to listen to them only on my mp3

definitely not in parties, or aloud, but i do like them on shows, like kasamh se, Banoo Main teri Dulhann

In parties? Well, yeah ... if you're going to talk about dancing, then it requires faster beats.
But think about this --- how many people at parties are actually listening to the song. The words can barely be heard, its the loud blaring of music through speakers that gets people to dance. But still, its not the true form of music. Agreed there?
