I heard a song on internet radio which had exactly the same lyrics
sung in the same manner as the 'bas ek king' song from singh is king.
I googled it and the song seems to be copied from this one 'Give It 2
You' -
http://www.hamienet.com/lyrics18963.html
Cant find the original song though, the one I found on youtube is a
remix and sounds different.
The lyrics go -
'One for the money,
Two for the bass,
Three to get ya goin',
Cause Da Brat's in da place.
'
While singh is king go -
'One for the trouble
Two for the bass
King is in the place
You better watch this space'

Wonder why they didnt change the second line so it wouldnt be so
obvious. Guess they thought no one would hear this unheard of song.

Indu that is why I said I am not sure😆

Whenever there is talk about pritam original score, NOT SURE is obvious term. U cant just believe that any of his score is original coz despite so many copied songs i thought atleast Baatein kuch ankahi from life in metro was original,. Later i came to know that it was copied too. My god, one of the fav song is also copied from korean song and that too note by note.

@ Indradhanush,

Its good that u dnt support copycats, but for god's sake, please dnt even take the name of Atif infront our legend Kishoreda.
It will be an insult to music.Panchamda didnt travel overseas for recording a' besura person' ( Sorry i cannot even use the word 'singer' for Atif)
But he knew music and always supported the great singers.

Well even I am an Indian but I will say Atif is a good singer and if the tune is copied than its composers fault not the singer is to be blamed. Kishore Da is a legend and had diffrent voice quality whereas Atif has diffrent voice quality which is good for some songs. Everone is Good at their own palces. At the end I can only say "If you cannot support anyone then atleast don't discourage him."

I do remember Pritam Puran saying that pritam has habit of forgetting things. May be forgets that the tune does not belongs to him and he use them as his own tune. Its not his fault. At end of the day today Pritam rules and you can hear his songs everywhere and I like all his songs.

@vijay, Each individual in this world have unique faces and unique voice.Thats how God has created human beings.
To be a singer, firstly you should have the basic sur.If its ok,then comes texture and such secondary things.
Kishoreda doesnt have just voice quality. He has a golden voice but at the same time, his singing and his sur is extraordinary.Thats the reason why people are still singing and listening to his songs.
Atif,s songs are popular not because of his voice texture but the credit goes to the Korean composer's
tune. Both Pritam and Atif doent deserve any praise.
Even i have a sweet voice but i cant sing well. But if Pritam makes use of my voice for his copied songs,
surely you will support and encourage me ,not Atif.
I encourage only good things. So i have to voice out so that original composers and sureela singers will only be encouraged by public.

Well I agree with you. Kishore Da never learnt music but still he use to sing very well from classical to disco numbers. Sur is very important but today in the world of globalization we have seen people of India going crazy for michel Jakson, Maddona, britny, shakera do they no anything abou sur taal. Today things have changed , There are devices avalible to adjust Sur, there are devices to correct high pitch & low pitch. Today what is counted is the style of the singer. The songs of Rock On became hit but does farhan Akthar nows anything about Sur Taal. Atif knows atleast someting about sur and taal. In Entertainment Industry the main thing still reamins enteratining people and if people liked his songs I have no problem with him.

When you need to correct sur, pitch, taal everything in song using devices, then whats the job of Atif?
When you have so so many budding talents in India esp from reality shows wth such beautiful, original voices, perfect sur, taal, laya why u are adamant that u will use machines?

You were talking about Atif's style. Are you referring to his good-looks?

For example,a child falls ill.I give u 2 options to select
1.Parents will take the baby to a knowledgeable doctor well versed in his profession
2.Go to a doctor , without any knowledge ,who cannot examine or prescribe a medicine without browsing intenet.

Similarly

Option 1.KISHOREDA
2.ATIF

I hope you got my point.

Liking a person is different but it should not be at the cost of good music.

Nope my post was not intended to draw a simily between Atif and Kishore da. Later is a legend.

Pritam sharing the seat with Shankar proves that show has deteriorated to a new level, because every thing is scripted it doesnt matter who is guru or mahaguru, when Khayyam, Asha ji and others could not change the standard of this programme then what is harm in making Pritam judge the show. Eventually every one toes the line of the channel or else how do you explain elimination of Shashi by Ghulam Ali and SW..?

Good question. Really really good question actually

I can think up of a few reasons for why the SRGMP team consider him eligible to actually sit on the chair:

He's a top music director (a fact that may put hundreds of people to tears), he can act well (big requirement to be a judge on reality shows), and he looks like a musician poser (that stupid hairband. super original)

these things, I think, let the team think that he could do well on that chair, trying to bring budding talent into the industry. Gosh no one knows how many people he's gonna corrupt
