Hi,
It is miserable to see Copy Cat Pritam as a Judge ..
He himself doesn't know much about music and trying to survive by Copying and how come he has become judge ? Is selection of Judge criteria for ZEE Saregama so poor ?
He will teach his students and others the technique of copying . No wonder, he is bringing besura ATIF to sing for him, because he himself doesn't know to judge music..
Just trying to get publicity by bringing outside singers ....
Please remove him out as u r insulting other judges Shankar, Himesh and Adesh sitting with him....
NOTE : Beware ...Don't play music in front of Pritam, he will copy

Pritam is really sweet and belive me many times its the pressure from films director which leads to copying of music. Many times film director wants music of similar tune and because of which such things happen. He is a good composer and friendly to.

Frankly I like this guy. Copying is also an art and he knows what to copy and how to copy and which sections to use. So long as he acknowledges the source there is no quarrel in plagiarism.

Hahaha source? He does not even give credit to others who made the music. He rather says that he made his own music. Then some Japan people scream "Indian music copy caters"

@summer: he doesnt acknowldge the source, read his interviews in TOI archives, has recently got tip co sued by sony BMG for plagiarising zara zara touch me, which can cost 35 million dollars to the co. This news has got coverage in Singapore Times..!
@vijay: what a pressure cooker he is in, has copied 100 plus tunes in less than 5 years why shankar and others refuse to go in the same pressure cooker..? Yes he has good sense of identifying music and zero talent.

I know that he has copie may songs including Yah Ali from gangster , Bhul Bhulaiya's title track, songs of race like Zaara Zaara and Pehli Nagar, songs of Jab we Met ( Yeh ishk hai, Muja muja) there are many more.I have seen in a news paper
Original

'Aao milo chale' from Jab We Met

Indonesian band, Peterpan's 'Di Belakangku'

Original

'Baatein kuch ankahee si', Life in a Metro

Korean song, 'Ah Reum Dah Oon Sa Ram' by Seo Yu Seok

Original

'Bheegi Bheegi' from Gangster

Mohiner Ghoraguli's Bangla jibhonmuki gaan, 'Prithibi'

Original

'Yeh ishq hai' from Jab We Met

Paris-based Indonesian singer Anggun's ''tre Une Femme'

But still I like him as there are also many of his hit songs which are original and it will be incorrect to ignore them.

I hope he has changed after all these legal wrangles.
But plagiarism and copywrite infrigements are two different things and the second one costs a lot of money. Wonder if these guys are insured against such work hazards or accidentally copying tunes or using it twice.

pls read this vijay

I heard a song on internet radio which had exactly the same lyrics
sung in the same manner as the 'bas ek king' song from singh is king.
I googled it and the song seems to be copied from this one 'Give It 2
You' -
http://www.hamienet.com/lyrics18963.html
Cant find the original song though, the one I found on youtube is a
remix and sounds different.
The lyrics go -
'One for the money,
Two for the bass,
Three to get ya goin',
Cause Da Brat's in da place.
'
While singh is king go -
'One for the trouble
Two for the bass
King is in the place
You better watch this space'

Wonder why they didnt change the second line so it wouldnt be so
obvious. Guess they thought no one would hear this unheard of song.
