I have lost my battle with people. Despite delivering hits I have always been slotted as a nasal singer. Though for a year I kept defending myself saying that it's not nasal but high-pitched singing but none seem to buy that. So I've given up now. I accept I'm a nasal singer.

Regards other singers mentioned by you K Sanu and BS may be nasal but not Abhijeet , he has not sounded nasal IMHO.

Main Agar Kahoon is a beautiful song that I think only Sonu could do justice to.
Its okay to like singers from the golden days and to be a fan of the oldies, but don't you think disrespecting today's singers is being extremely ignorant and rude.

I always thought Udit ji's voice made me smile :)

Udit and Sonu both are the best male vocalist nowadays
they have different type of voices and personalitiesbut the one thing thats common in them is that they both are brilliant singers better than many oders.
of course Rafi sahab aur Kishore da ki baat hi kuch aur hai aur unka zamana bilkul alag tha.

Both are good... but udit lasted much longer than Sonu... who is retired now with KK, Atif and the rest ousting him from his position...

The reason why Sonu lacks in comparison to Udit ji is that his voice is too soft and hence not that masculine.


If your singing for a male hero you should sound masculine as Udit ji does.

well not all actors have deep voices themselves. Sonu's voice is perfect for chocolate hero types. Also Sonu can sing modern style songs much better than Uditji. That's why I say that they both have their own plus points.

anyways I think Sonu sounds damn masculine in this song and it also matches Saif really nicely. Just compare Saif's speaking part to Sonu's singing in the beggining. They blend together so well.
