Who has got a better voice quality? Who is a greater singer?

They both have their own plus points. Uditji's biggest plus point is his voice. When he came his voice was very new and fresh and not like any previous singer. And his voice also suits the actors especially Amir Khan. But I think Sonu Nigam has better gayaki compared to Uditji. You can tell the difference in their live concerts. I personally love Sonu for his complexity and Uditji for his simplicity. Both are my favourite singers.

I agree but Udit is like 10 years older than Sonu. I think Udit is slightly better. He is more experienced and has better voice than Sonu. Sonu's voice is so soft which does not suit for many actors. Udit has a real hero voice.

Udit's voice matches many actors vs sonu with softer and thinner voice not with all.

Sonu after all copies Mohd Rafi and hence lacks originality which Udit has, singing wise both are equally taiyyar hence Udit is superior in my books with a better and original voice (usp now a days)

I think Udit's voice is more fresh than Kumar Sanu too. Kumar Sanu follows Kishore Kumar. Although Kumar Sanu has a soft and deep voice, Udit's voice still RULES... and he does not sing from his nose at all.
