I love the way he hosts.. keeps an eye on every minute detail... but at times, I feel that he talks like a radio host.. its totally my POV... Anyway, I love Javed Ali... as a singer, judge and a host..

Sonu is almost 40 turning next yr.
He has been around. Nothing wrong in kids wanting to touch JA's feet...But here we have mostly adults...Plus I have observed most muslims do not like people touching their feet as they also don't follow the protocol of putting their hand on head or shoulder of the studet who is bowing down...Its a protocol normally is not followed by them.
JA is a fab singer, judge and a host...I simply love his personality.

Bowing to person or touching feet is part of Hindu culture. Some muslims follow it, As being Indian, hindu culture came to muslims by default. But bowing or touching to anything living or non-living is prohibited in Islam. Even prophet does not allow anybody to bow to him except to Allah. That is the reason muslim does not touch the other feet and also does not like other to touch his feet but still some muslims follow it. Other difference is in greeting, In hindu culture when one greet other, he/she says Namaste that mean I bow to you. But in muslim if we greet, we say Assalam-o-Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, that means tumpe allah ki salamti ho, rahmat ho or barkat ho, it is more like praying for other. And other greet same way by Adding "Wa"lekum Assalam... that means like same to you. This is the expalination in short.

Thanks HB ji for explaining and confirming what I knew...Even in hindu culture some sub castes do not like daughters touching feet...So nothing odd..
I just wish everyone continues doing what their beliefs are as long as they respect the guru, judge for their age or knowledge...One does not have to be older or elder to receive respect...
So i wish all did Namaste simply by folding hands instead of bowing down 😃

This information is interesting. Thanks for sharing! 😃 I had no idea about all that. I love learning about different religions, cultures, and customs. It helps bring us all together better once we have an understanding for each other.

I like having Javed Ali as a host because he is knowledgeable in music. Having a host who knows music does help a lot. Manish and Jay, and etc are fun, but they also take away from the music and the contestants sometimes. Hopefully having a host who is musical will keep the focus on music and the contestants.

I too miss Manish Paul badly..He is GEM in humorous comments...makes me split...

But as i said ...to make this show special, host from music background is imp...according to me.

Within 2 episodes we all saw ...in what sense Javed is contributing..

not only we get to see him singing😳 also he is briefing each contestant performance...so we pay on attention on that detail😃
