I think this year SRGMP is back to past. Nice judging panel, one of the best musical hosts, and emphasis on classical singing. Male singers look great. Hope to have brilliant seasion. I Shankar is not doubt a great judge/metnor and musician, Rahul Ram seems to be nice personality, but will see his music knowledge as time will pass. Sajid-Wajid one of the best composer in industry, very pure and not a copycatter. Both brother has great talent and knowledge of music. And Javed Ali.. jitna kahoon utna lam.. He is bringing Sonu touch.
Have great hope this seasion.

Rahul Ram seems interesting and may give an interesting perspective. Indian Ocean has been around for some time. SW of course by virtue of being MDs are certainly talented but last time they kind of bugged me.

I have to say that given the caliber of the singers -- so much classical training -- maybe they deserve Javed as a host! God I wish Sugandha was in this batch so she could be appreciated.

I would love to see a classical collaboration (not a battle) between Javed and Shankar...it would be such a treat to watch. Both are so classically strong, though they have different voice ranges, it would be awesome to see such a piece.

He has always wanted to become a host..so its a dream come true to him.

Such a humble soul..

For him, music is his sadhana...

Ya I like that part how he was so humble and did not state that he sang the song. You can just see his simplicity and modesty.

For everyone who said Javed is so humble...please do watch his life story on Lil Champs video. This story just shows his struggle and why he is so humble and such a good human being.

Mona I have noticed Most muslims do not want anyone doing pranam to them..May be it is not part of their culture...Today when Sajid came on stage after madhuri Dey's performance and she tried twice to touch his feet and he backed away twice...I would strongly request contestants to do simple namaste-pranam by tilting head down but not touching feet...As in our culture when someone bows down we always put hand on their head or back and give blessings...May I am wrong but my observation...Also JA is pretty young guy himself...It feels odd for him when someone touches his feet...

Varshaji:

even sonu nigam is young..but contestants touch his feet out of taking blessing..
