Co-stars not getting along on the sets is pretty common in the Indian TV industry. The latest to join the bandwagon are the lead actors of Colors' daily soap Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop. Buzz suggested that Shashank Vyas and Donal Bisht recently had a verbal spat while filming a sequence. Although the duo blatantly dismissed the reports and called them baseless, BollywoodLife has learnt that no such thing happened. When we investigated further, we uncovered what goes on behind the scenes of the show. According to an onlooker, Shashank Vyas who is a senior actor to co-star Donal Bisht who is just a year old in the industry, is harassing her.

As per a source, Vyas has not been cordial with Bisht since day one. "The issue has been going since long, almost weeks after the leap. Shashank had some issues with Donal. Initially it started as teasing and pulling her leg. However, he soon started humiliating her. He has often pinpointed her mistakes openly, which has left the actress embarrassed in front of the entire crew. During the particular fight that was reported, the same thing happened. Shashank asked Donal to do a scene better, and she retaliated saying that she has spoken about it with the director. That's where the verbal spat commenced.

We contacted another actor from the show, who on condition of anonymity said, "Shashank likes to give his perspective, which sounds more like an order than a suggestion. On several occasions, he has questioned Donal and her acting abilities. In fact, during one of the shots, he also went on to publicly say, Now that you have shared screen space with me, you've become a heroine, before this you were nothing.' One day, because of the introduction of a new character, he got so restless that he stalled the shoot and went ahead to talk to the channel only to make sure that his prominence is not lost.

Another source, close to the production house added, "He surely has some problem with Donal or probably he is too insecure. He often taunts her saying that she isn't that famous in comparison to his fan following. He always wanted the track to revolve around him and not focus much on her. He has also gone to the channel with the suggestion of replacing her. In one of the sequences, he refused to chase Ishika (Donal's on-screen character) and asked why he chase a girl being the male lead. If you want to give her more importance why don't you replace the show's name as Ishika from Roop,' he said during that incident.

Another verified source who has worked with Vyas in his previous show Jaana Na Dil Se Door confirmed and added, "He is always cribbing that he needs to be the centre of attraction since the show is about him. In fact, in his previous show, the crew was so upset with his behaviour that they refused to take his gift (Vyas gifted the entire crew a bunch of T-shirts on the last day).

The verified bystander further revealed that recently when actors Neil Bhat and Donal Bisht were headed to Chandigarh for a promotional trip sans Vyas, the actor created hullaballoo on the sets.

We contacted Donal, who heard us patiently. She said, "Both of us are shooting as professionals. And honestly I would not like to talk about this issue anymore.

Shashank Vyas, after a brief conversation, chose to not give any comments.

So, I think the truth about him is out now. The arrogance and and cribbing has become common for him, it is so obvious that Donal is unhappy about the environment on sets but I am glad that her character is still the most important one and gets a lot of focus even after she is just a newbie, I guess hard work pays off.

Shashank has a history of bullying the juniors, even during JNDSD there was always negativity surrounding him on sets and the costars were very unhappy, and I guess in this show also the situation is similar.

I really hope Donal survives this mediocre circus and gets appreciation for Ishika, I have seen few of her scenes and she does a wonderful job as the rude but honest Ishika, infact her character is the only one who has a spine and a solid growth an struggle, otherwise as Shashank also complained what is the point of playing a male lead who runs after the heroine and has nothing else to do? At-least I agree with him in this point, because this show was not a love story therefore his character has gone under waters.

I think Yash Tonk's screen space should also be increased, he was awesome pre-leap and post leap it's just random scenes, he nails it as the chauvinist father of 3 daughters, I really wish they would explore his relation with his daughters more and how Ishika changes her stern father in law after marriage.

BTW show's name since you didn't check before coming to forum lemme tell you show's name is Roop Mard ka Naya Swaroop and its not about Ishika neither shamsher aur uss ki betiyaan . Ishika herself is extremely wrong woh kya Shamsher ko change kare gi . Sab ko change hero hi kare ga aur woh hai Roop .😛
