Was I the only one who was shocked by how abruptly the scene in shamsher room ended? I thought there would be a longer conversion or some major confrontation there between father and son but it suddenly skipped to the morning scene with Roop as usual dreaming about Ishika. 😕 no proper sensible or logical continuation to that scene of shamsher crying. Poor work here by the writers and even the editors... That scene had potential but was ruined. I hope it was just the online video which showed this mess.was that scene longer on TV ?

I agree...they need to cut short some scenes instead of dragging it unnecessarily...for instance the RooShika scenes in the beginning...it was pretty good, but they dragged it...it loses the essence...especially roop's staring session needs to be cutt off a bit...it looks awkward at points...

Usually scenes like that are cut in most shows where father and son are

For me in the UK when i watch it tv, we had the father and son talk and both defeated to what each is saying (and the way it was done, it sounded like the scene was over anyhow), and then preview of what the next scene is, then advert and then when the episode came back, it showed the morning with Roop in his room.

but it's still poor writing to show such a tense situation at home which leads to a morning where Roop is fresh and happy and dreaming of his love...idk that's just strange. I'd personally be thinking about my father's tears and the tension between me and him...that scene led to nothing? hard to believe.

Sadly that happens in most shows, so i can't really fault another show doing that 🤔

Also i think can we need to use our imagination that after the talk, Roop walked away from the situation, he probably went to eat, and then went to bed with a heavy heart, and in the morning he is getting ready for college and that makes him think of Ishika. Basically 😉

Also it's another way of keeping this tension & distance between father and son going on through the episodes, its not gonna be solved in one episode!, so hence cut scenes like that and that scene did lead to creating more of a tension further till the next time we see them talking and having the same conflict

But that's not something which used to occur too often in Balika Vadhu...and that ran for years and years...for a show to really make a home in the hearts of viewers, esp a show that's primarily about social issues, there needs to be improvement in writing & editing...proper culmination must be given to such intense scenes... There's nothing wrong with asking for better quality...moreover I've seen better editing done in some SP shows that ran 7 days a week...this show is 5 days a week which is the norm...writers should have more time to tie loose ends...tension and distance between the 2 can be carried on thru other means as well...
