What a power packed episode once again.

Anami is welcomed heartily into the LM, by her Dadi. But not everyone is happy.

Baldev is going to regret his words later. He is so agitated that he hurt himself and is not even bothered by his blood flowing from his hand. Every action has a reaction. That's Karma. He would be regretting it all soon. When he will know Anami more and accept her as his daughter, then his own words and actions are going to haunt him. Hope its not too late before he realises it. I think he is in the shock and denial phase, as he was confident that Satrupa is bluffing them all.

Now the highlight of the chapter. Satrupa and Vikramaditya's scene. Vikramaditya turns his back on Satrupa, as soon as she enters the room. Satrupa says, denying truth can't change the truth. The test can prove the truth, but can it save the relations which have been severed? She tries to make him understand the reality, the truth, that she is not against him but is protecting her daughter's rights. And then she asks the Mother of all questions-'If Anami was a boy, would he denied this truth?'

And I ask you the same question Satrupa, why you gave away the daughter, why not son?

She may be right all along the way so far, but soon she has to answer this question which she asks Vikramaditya herself. It reeks of double standards. While showing the face of truth to everyone, Satrupa is forgetting that its she who started this all. Why does she think that people will accept her truth so easily, when she will announce the existence of a daughter suddenly after 17 years, that too on a crucial day of declaring the heir.

She had proved the truth, by her own ways. But making people of LM accept the reality will not be in her hands. It will be interesting to see, how each one of them will realise and accept Anami, in their own ways.

Satrupa got her answers in form of silence from Vikramaditya. truly said, Silence can be powerful than words...

Anami always knew the truth of her existence. She tried her best to deny it. It was heartbreaking to see her helplessness and suffocation. She had all her hopes in this DNA test. But how far can she run away from the truth. Its unavoidable.

And one plea to her Panditji, and he is ready to leave his world, his life in Benaras, without any qualms. Such confidence and belief!

I couldn't help myself compare the both situations. One in LM and other in Benaras. In LM the so called blood relations need a proof and in Benaras, her single plea was enough to leave everything, just to be together again with the family, for the love of the family. One can easily understand, Anami's turmoil here.

I can go on and on...but will stop now. There is so much to think and write about the story and characters...that's the beauty of this show, it makes us think and compels us to express.

PS: Is it only me, who gets goosebumps sometimes, when there is a combination of impactful dialogues and the background score?

The difference between nature and nurture being played out in front of us in the quest for proof of apnapan. Dil se mehsoos karein ya sirf dimaag se soche.

We accept truths that are convenient for us in the moment. To set aside our ego and introspect and then accept our fallibilities is not within the capability of many. Satrupa gave away her girl child even though Guruji had said she should send the first born away. But the first born was a boy child. A truth she has conveniently set aside in her sense of righteous outrage of the present. Her outrage still continues to reek of selfishness.

So much about this show is goose bump inducing!

No, Satrupa. You aren't protecting the rights of your daughter. You, my dear, are protecting your selfish wants. You are protecting and securing your place and power in red steal. Which was so very close to being taken away from you.

I love how flawed and real satrupa is. But I can't stand people who are Hippocrates. She is criticizing him for the same actions and thoughts she had-has. Actions and thoughts she still has not owned up to.

The bit u said about patak family is why I will always stand with them against satrupa. They heard how distressed their child is and is willing to start a new life mind you there is also the fear of satrupa putting them in jail but they still wanted the happiness of their child. And satrupa has no business feeling smug about being right about the DNA test. She had no right giving that ego to baldev for being right. she was the one who made people question anami's birth.

i am still waiting for the day to hear her truthof leaving anami to herself

because till now i have not heard this truth from her mouth because whenever she try to answer someone interrupt her

but i think its somewhat clear that she is not sexist but she was having fear of world

would this cruel world will give right to her daughter so she took easy way and chose son to keep it with herself

but now she has no other hope so she brought daughter

but every truth has many facet it could be there is some hidden truth even

i want to see bonding of baldev and anami but i hate this narottam i know injustice have been done to him but i dont like him

Well said! Though we already know the answer to her question she must answer it herself.

Exactly!

As soon as she said that dialogue, I was like, isn't this double standards Satrupa? You are supposed to ask that question to yourself first. It looked so pretentious of her, preaching something, which she herself hasn't practised.

I have always felt that stark contrast whenever Anami speaks to the Pathaks. The love, the concern and the pining they feel for their daughter puts them above everyone. No selfishness, just pure love. She uttered just a word and Panditayin already knew that something amiss with her bitiya.

I think Satrupa wouldnt have chosen between boy and girl, had she not been part of this family. She is flawed character, yes. But I dont think choosing a boy child was really her flaw. She wanted her position in family intact. And for that she wanted a boy. She knew it was wrong, but she is power hungry woman... or at least someone who want to win at all odds. So when she had to give up one child, she chose the one option that gives her the most upper hand.

She is a vicious and scary person ... but i really dont think she is sexist. Neither is she feminist.

I am ok with her questioning anyone else ... except Anami, I dont want Satrupa to bend knees in front of anyone 😛

Obviously, Satarupa is hardly without blame. No one had actually forced her to abandon one child in favour of another.

But if you spend years with elders who prove themselves to be staunch followers of traditions (in this case Vikram), you kind of anticipate how their reactions will be.

Satarupa knows her FiL very well. She was faced with the task of keeping one child with her, and sending away the other.
She was also warned by the Guruji that the child whom she would keep in Lal Mahaal will have the risk of dying. She was initially instructed to keep Vatsalya (the older twin) away from Lal Mahal, in which case the younger twin, who is a girl, would have been in the risk of losing her life and would never be accepted and brought up as the heir of Royal Steel (by Vikram) in spite of growing up in Lal Mahal. Satarupa would also be expected to try for a son again, whereas her and Baldev's relationship was probably already only in the name. So she took the easier route and provided Lal Mahal the heir Vikram wanted.

Here's a grandfather whose adherence to so-called propriety rendered his wife practically a suppresing bystander (even if Gayatri was a beloved wife and could possibly be a caring grandmother to Anami), his son forever bitter, and led his daughter--in-law to commit condemnable things. Not to mention creating wronged adversaries like Dhiraj and Pujan to some extent.

Anami has a long way to go to clear his mess.
