Decision of a Queen, Gayatri devi does justice

Do you know when a woman wins in real sense. When another woman stands up for her, when another woman gives her a chance. Do you know how men retain power, by having in fighting among women. Women are not allowed to share their pain and happiness as women. They are always addressed in roles. Maa, patni, beti, bahu. The bonding is not allowed to develop between mother and daugther, mother in law and daughter in law, bhabi and nanad. It never happens and patriarichy thrives.

We shout on female foeticide. The baby is in a woman's womb. If the mother cannot stand for the baby girl in her womb who will stand up. When the daughter comes home crying dowry harassment, if the mother dont support her and sends her back who will support her.

If a son mis treats his wife, if her mother in law or sister in law doesnt scold the son or brother for his misbehaviour and find fault with wife, where is unity among woman. Change happens when we think as woman. Change happens when within the system we stand for a woman if she has justice on her side.

These men expect us in roles. Problem is happening because many girls are asserting themselves as individuals and not as beti,patni, maa etc. They are making choices questioning patriarichy.

What happened in Lal Mahal today was throwing away of the masks. Yes Satrupa was given power not only because she was bahu, but also for the fact that Vikram married an innocent un married girl to his son who already had a illegitimate child. Yes no one had any problem when Narotham was declared illegitimate and son of Baldev. Baldev was not thrown out.

But without giving Satrupa a chance to prove herself they are accusing her, accusing her of adultery by refusing to accept Anami. Suddenly all questions on the image of the family, prestige of the family is coming. And we could see Pujan was smiling as Satrupa went on questioning in anguish what Baldev and Pujan has given to family, while she had given her blood and sweat. She had taken care of the company, she had given a heir for the company and still she is questioned. She was right in saying throw away the masks of decency. No decency exists. Vikram was irked by the fact that Satrupa took decision as a woman and it came out clearly today, when he made her spell out the decision of choice between family and power.

But in one stroke Gayatri turned the tide against the whole masculine population by giving Satrupa a chance. I loved it when she said, Satrupa will be given a chance to prove herself and that is my decision. It was the decision of a queen and it was just. With one stroke she wiped of the smile from Pujan's face.

I have only one thing to tell to Pujanji. Never under estimate the queen. It was biggest mistake of Shakuni to under estimate Panchali who undid his idea of bloodless coup by treachery to a bloody war by a single question. Did yudhi keep me before him, or he kept himself before me. She asserted a man who is a slave himself cannot keep the queen. She was an individual and she had rights. By coming for her, by standing by her Krishna tells the world her question was right and her stand was righteous in not succumbing to the demands of becoming a slave.

This is the same woman who called her daughter in law Sat Rupa the other day. She is the same queen who has allowed the king to give the reign to his daughter in law. Yes she is the same woman who has knowingly married away his son who was a father to a child to Satrupa. Where was her justice back then? Why did she not speak up back then and tell the truth to Satrupa that his son was a father? Why was this deceit done to the young lady who was not their blood? Today would she have taken this decision if she did not have the ehsaas of Anami? Would she have taken a stance against all those so called blood of the family to give Satrupa justice?

I don't think so Shruthi, Although a queen, this is the decision made out of guilt. The only good thing about this decision is that she wants Satrupa to prove herself. She wants that her family name is not maligned more. Satrupa has given the family her everything, Despite being the daughter in law she became the son. She is powerful and has a capacity to rule and destroy. The queen knows her power. May be just may can that not be one of the reason for her to save her? She does not want Satrupa to go berserk and do things that may destroy her family. Royal steel or no royal steel.

I just compared the situation not the people. Pujan had it in the bag when Satrupa was speaking. He knew Vikram and Baldev will not change decision and there is no one to help Satrupa. But against his expectations Gayatri spoke up. It's like wild card, unexpected card which Pujan like people never calculate.

Pujan was playing dice and he got what he expected, Suddenly Gayatri threw a dice for which he had no answer as in the plan she was not accounted for.

Shakuni also had it in bag when yudhi became slave, but Panchali turned it. Also I am happy they are going for DNA test. In this age it would be stupidity if it is not shown.

i like how gayatri is following her ehsaas toward Anami.. love to see more of the Dadi Poti bonding in future..

How long I have been waiting for the kind of dialogues Satrupa spoke today in Indian soap scenario. The hard hit on hypocrisy. The difference of law our society practices for men and women.

The outburst which gave courage to Gayatri to take a stance. Most shows, except the bahurani to tolerate the rubbish in the name of sanskaar, leave questioning, she is not even supposed to feel unhappy, as everything is for parivaar.

You are right. Women empowerment is not only about empowering ourself, but it is also about empowering fellow women. What a brilliant scene we witnessed yesterday. 👏

I just loved how Satrupa hit on the right nerve of each and every person present there. She made them 'Niruttar'. Speechless. Not even one man could answer her outburst. And how gracefully she carried herself through all the insults hurled at her. Here, Narayani nailed it! 10 on 10 for her acting and dialogue delivery. 👏

Then comes the masterstroke. Gayatri stands up up for her daughter in law. Whatever reason she may have stated there, the greatest influence which made her to take this decision was Anami. As she told Vikram, it is not the matter of heart and mind, it is the matter of how I felt when Anami touched me. And in that touch she felt Vatsalya's touch. Such a minute detailing by the creatives.👏

Then comes the morning tea scene of Satrupa and Baldev. This woman has grace. Despite of such bitter words from her husband, she wants to make peace with him. She brings tea for him to make the things normal and tried to make Baldev see the truth. But nah, Baldev is surrounded by his own insecurities and confusions. He doesn't trust anyone. As no one trust him. It will take a while for him to accept the truth. and that will only happen with self realisation. he has to see and feel himself to believe it.

Pujan is Shakuni, no doubt. And will be served same fate as was served to Shakuni. He is loyal to no one. He just wants the destruction. He has been living with them under same roof and breaks the bread with them, only to conspire against them. Shakuni got his judgment on the eighteenth day of Mahabharata. Lets see when this Shakuni meets his judgement day.

Overall, one of the brilliant episodes!

I was clapping during satrupa's outburst. Loved how she shut up everyone. No one had anything to say to justify themselves. 👏👏

@paytonlee for long our TV soaps have shyied away from taking the bull by horns. RKC did it yesterday beautifully without those irritating BGMs and unnecessary tears and over the top melodrama.
