@paytonlee for long our TV soaps have shyied away from taking the bull by horns. RKC did it yesterday beautifully without those irritating BGMs and unnecessary tears and over the top melodrama.

It gets late here, when I get to see the episode. My eyes were full of sleep when I started watching it, but as soon as Satrupa started speaking, mere dil, dimaag and aankhein sab khul gaye.
What a stupendous show of power and Nayi soch!👏
So impressive!

@ecrivain yes Satrupa's outburst and Gayatri's decision was well directed and beautifully enacted by Narayani Shastri and Anju Mahendro.

How long I have been waiting for the kind of dialogues Satrupa spoke today in Indian soap scenario. The hard hit on hypocrisy. The difference of law our society practices for men and women.

The outburst which gave courage to Gayatri to take a stance. Most shows, except the bahurani to tolerate the rubbish in the name of sanskaar, leave questioning, she is not even supposed to feel unhappy, as everything is for parivaar.

Satrupa's outburst was synonymous to the erupting of a volcano. She was dormant so far, taking everything as it comes- her relation with Baldev, her work, Royal Steel and the family. But the demise of Vatsalya brought forth the mother in her which had been pushed back while the dutiful Bahu catered to one and all. But this is where her patience ends and her fight for justice begins.

Narayani Shastri has been my fave actor from the yesteryears and the show has some brilliant actors on board including Mahima Makhanawa and Anu Mahendru. A well written script and a well done drama comes alive with beautiful performances and we have all of it here.

@Mimosa it was a beautiful post and I agree to your comment. Baldev needs to look inward than always pointing his finger outward. Keeping Satrupa responsible for his insecurities and incapability.
@ecrivain yes it was a volcano, which she had kept burning inside her that erupted when the question of legitimacy of her child was asked, when proof of her character was asked.

Didn't think Gayatri would support Satrupa bcoz she spoke against her in previous update. But finally she speaks. And speak she did No one dared to refute her decision.I loved the scene very much.

@glitter5 sometimes when people decide to listen to their heart, they will see the truth and stand up for what is right.

The action of Rajmata was driven by the fact that blood is thicker than water. All these years she never supported Satrupa because she sided with her own son. Dadi never liked the fact that Satrupa was given more prominence than Baldev. Hence the earlier dialogues with Vikram and Satrupa.

Now when the question was about throwing Satrupa out (along with Anami) - Dadi stood up. Because Dadi knew from the touch that it was her own blood.

I see Dadi's character as also grey. Do not see her becoming completely white and rightly so. It is just the mamata making her take decisions.

@JJKL I dont think RKC has any white character. Every character is layered and rightly so. Yes it is mamta for Anami which was not wrong on dadi's part. But that mamta did defeat pujan.
