Shruti has been seen as a host on Comedy Circus. However, she returns to soaps with Rishta.com on Sony TV. "The show is a 26-part series. If it goes well then we'll have another season later. I am really enjoying the way it's been shot," she says. Not just that, the actress has had a great time shooting for the show as it's been written and directed by her brother Rishabh. "Yes, we still carry on with our fighting and bickering, but he knows me well. So there's a certain understanding," she says. Shruti says that she picks up shows that are wrapped up in a certain time frame. "I like to know when a particular show will end, so that I can plan accordingly. With Shararat, though the show was on air for a long time, it was a weekly, so it wasn't chaotic." Though Shruti is now happy working long hours, she did have problem getting into the groove in the beginning. "I was completely out of the habit of working for a daily, so yes there were some teething troubles. Going to work everyday was something I had to get used to. But now it's fun." Shruti might be enjoying work, but she is not ready to take on any of the reality shows as yet. "Reality shows are getting nastier. I really don't understand the need to be mean to contestants or focus on the ugly parts." The actress is surprised that people are willing to put their private life on display. "Even reality shows that are related to music or dance, now focus on the private life of the contestants. The focus on the relationship of a celeb couple is more than that on their performance. And if you are providing your personal life for public consumption then you can't complain when people ask you personal questions or want to know more," she points. | ||||||
