Ronnie is the friend for whom Ananya's happiness matters most. He is not judgemental about anyone . He always believe in giving people a benefit of doubt and not influenced much by others . He represents the progressive class of the society. Above all a friend who supports his friend come what may.
Richa is probably orthodox in her views, yes, but I feel in the present situation it is insecurity for her career more than her belief or thought about a divorcee getting a second chance, in life. She is saying all kinds of rude unfair things about Kabir and tarnishing his reputation because, she can't straight away say, she fears Ananya is going to benefit by being close to the EIC.
Here I am going with the idea that you usually say one thing, but when you read between the lines you actually mean something else. But, I could be wrong...
