It was the morning after the engagement and Ashi had just woken up. She slowly opened her eyes at the sudden bright light that was spreading through her whole room. She turned and looked at her clock which read 10:33 a.m. Then she moaned and pulled her covers over her head.

Ashi- (still moaning) Mumma... go back to sleep. Abhi sirf 10:33 hue hain. I'm tired. Aap itni jaldi kyun utth gayeen?

Sonia- (opening the curtains in Ashi's room(that's why she woke up in the first place)) Ki holo Mummum??? Shona, tum kabhi itni der tak nahi soti toh phir aaj tum... kaise???

Ashi- Oh come on Mumma. Agar kal aapki engagement huee hoti toh aapko pata chal tha ki tired hona kya hota hai.

Sonia- Mummum, don't forget ke kuch months pehle hi meri bhi shaadi huee thi.

Ashi- Whatever. That's old news now Mumma.

Sonia- Mummum tum naa...

Ashi- Kya???

Sonia- Kuch nahi. Main jaa rahi hoon Tia ko uthaane. Tum jaldi se ready ho ke neeche aajao breakfast ke liye.

Ashi- Okay Mumma ab aap jaaye.

Sonia- Okay see you sweetheart. Aur suno.

Ashi- (impatiently) Hmmmmmm

Sonia- Kahin wapas so mat jaana.

Ashi- (Annoyed) MUMMA....!!!

Sonia went to go wake Tia up leaving Ashi sitting there half annoyed. She was about to go back to bed when her eyes fell on the ring that was on her finger. She started thinking about how she used to be and what she would now become. Sonia yelled from downstairs.

Sonia- Mummum... woh.... thehro main uppar aake bataati hoon.

Ashi- (to herself) Yeh mumma bhi naa.

Sonia- (coming in Ashi's room) Mummum, tum abhi tak ready nahi huee.

Ashi- Kaam ki baat kya hai Mumma?

Sonia- uhhh... Haan! Woh, Yuvi kaa phone aaya tha. Woh tumhe half hour mein pick up karne aa raha hai.

Ashi- (slowly starting to daze off, jumped up at Sonia's words) KYA???

Sonia- Mummum, tumhe eik baat kahoon?

Ashi- (running around not knowing what to do) Jaldi bolo Mumma.

Sonia- Shona, ab tumhe bohat alert rehna padega. Shaadi se pehle kabhi bhi kahin bhi Yuvi tumhe phone kar sakta hai, yeh kehne ke liye ki woh aa raha hai. Toh madam, tumhe quick hona padega. Understand?

Ashi- Oh please Mumma.

Sonia- I'm serious sweetheart. Aaj se tumhare yeh chocolate aur icecream ke din khatam.

Saying this she leaves. Once more Ashi was shocked at her words. What was her Mumma saying. Chocolate aur icecream ke din khatam! No way!!! (song Chocolate Limejuice from Hum Aapke Hain Kaun starts as she's getting ready)

She gets ready just as Yuvi arrives and honks the horn to let her know that he's here. Then he goes inside and waits for her. Sonia nad Sumeet ask him to join them for breakfast, and he politely turns down the offer. Eventually, Sumeet came to him with his special dish.

Sumeet- Yeh lo Yuvi, zara yeh try karke bataao kaisa hai.

Yuvi- (tastes it) Amazing uncle!!!

Sumeet- Haan! Yeh tumhaari Aunty ki favorite dish hai.

Yuvi- Oh really?

Sonia- (patting him on the shoulder) Really! Pata hai, yeh Sumeet ne khud apne haaton se banaaya hai.

Yuvi- Uncle, aap cooking karte hain?

Sumeet- Yes! Kabhi kabhi tumhari Aunty ko khush karne ke liye yeh bhi karna padtha hai.

Sonia- (hitting him playfully on the arm) Oh stop it Makheeja!

Sumeet- (smiling) Arre!

Sonia- (turning towards Yuvi and smiling) Sweetheart, Mummum abhi aati hi hogi.

Yuvi- Okay aunty.

Tia- (coming downstairs) Mumma...

Sonia- Haan Princess... (turning to the two guys) Excuse me. (goes to Tia)

Sumeet- So... sagai hone ke baad kaisa feel ho raha hai?

Yuvi- (smiling) Honestly?

Sumeet- Hmm.

Yuvi- Thoda sa nervous.

Sumeet- Nervous? Kyun?

Yuvi- Uncle, aap Aunty ko khush karne ke liye cooking karte hain. Toh main Ashi ko khush karne ke liye kya cooking karoonga? Mujhe toh cooking nahi aati. Aur jo thodi bohat aati hai, woh totally useless hai.

Sumeet- (laughing) Don't worry. Maine cooking seekhi thodi thi. Woh toh aise hi aagayee. Aur waise bhi, mujhe nahi lagta ki tumhe Ashi ko kuch karne ke liye cooking karni padegi. Ashi ke liye toh kuch special karna padega. You know? Something different and uncommon. Uski personality ko fit karne ke liye.

Yuvi- Oh yah! You're right! Waise sochna toh padega. Ashi ko understand karna easy nahi hai.

Sumeet- Beta, yeh women ko understand karna hum bechaaron ki bas ki baat nahi hai.

Yuvi- (agreeingly) Mmhmm.

Ashi- (coming down the stairs) Kya kaha tumne?

Yuvi- (quietly so only him and Sumeet could hear) Oh shit!

Sumeet- Uh oh!

Ashi- (walking up to Sumeet and Yuvi) Daddy Cool! Aap iss psycho ko kya sikha rahe ho?!

Sumeet- Arre, kuch nahi beta, hum toh bas aise hi kal raat ki party discuss kar rahe the.

Yuvi- Uh, haan Ashi.

Ashi- You just shut up psycho. Tumhe toh main baad mein dekhloongi. Lekin Daddy Cool aap bhi? I didn't expect this from you.

Sonia- (coming over there with Tia) Arre, yeh kya ho raha hai yahaan pe?

Sumeet- K..k..kuch nahi Sonia.

Tia- (seeing Yuvi) Arre Yuvi, tum kab aaye?

Yuvi- (relived that someone was changing the subject) Bas... abhi abhi.

Ashi- Mumma!!! Daddy Cool aur yeh psycho hume criticize kar rahe the.

Sonia and Tia- (angry and shocked expression) WHAT???

Sumeet and Yuvi- (scared) NAHI!!!

Tia- Papa, Tia's really angry at you! Aur Yuvi, Tia ne tumse yeh expect nahi kiya tha.

Sonia- Sumeet... tum chalo main tumhe bataati hoon. Mummum tum jaake enjoy karo.

Ashi- Okay bye Mumma. Bye Daddy Cool! Have fun!!! Don't be too hard on him Mumma. After all, mujhe apne Daddy Cool eik piece mein chahiyein.

Sonia- Haan haan. (turning towards Sumeet) Chalo tum!

Sumeet- Eik minute rukogi!!!! (turning towards Ashi) Bye sweetheart. Enjoy yourselves. Aur suno Ashi, beta sambhaal ke jaana. Aur jaldi waapas aana. Aur kuch ulta seedha mat khaana aur....

Ashi- (interupting) DADDY COOOOOOL!!!!!! Chill! Ab main bachhi nahi hoon. I'll take care of myself. Promise!

Sumeet- (walks up to Ashi and hugs her really tight) Mujhe pata hai ki tum bachhi nahi ho, aur mujhe yeh bhi pata hai ki tum apna khayal bhi rakhogi. Lekin, main phir bhi.

Ashi- Oh come on Daddy Cool. Itna over-protective hona achhi baat nahi hai.

Sumeet- Kya karoon? I'm your dad, it's my job. (both laugh)

Sonia- (standing to the side admiring the 2) How sweet! Tum dono kitne close aagaye ho.

Sumeet and Ashi- (jokingly) DUH-UH!!!!! (start laughing)

Ashi- Ab main jaaoon?

Sumeet- (kisses Ashi on the forehead) Jaao. Have Fun!!!

Ashi- Thanks Daddy Cool!

Yuvi- Thanks Uncle!

Ashi- See you Timbo!

Tia- Bye!

Ashi and Yuvi walk outside to Yuvi's car. He opens the door for Ashi and then goes and sits down himself.

Ashi- (looking at Yuvi) So. Kahaan jaa rahe hain hum?

Yuvi- (giving Ashi a naughty smile) You'll see. (winks)

Ashi- Achha? Toh what are we waiting for? Let's go.

Yuvi- (speeding off) Chaliye madam.

Ashi-Yuvi were going to meet up Tia-Ranveer and the rest of their friends for shopping. When Ashi-Yuvi were leaving, Tia was at home, but soon after they left, Ranveer called Tia to tell her that he was coming to pick her up. On the way there, Ashi-Yuvi were sitting and quietly listening to the music playing in the car. Ashi's hand was sitting on her lap and while Yuvi was driving, he noticed her looking at her engagement ring.

Yuvi- Kya hua? Tum aise chup chap kyun behati ho?

Ashi- Huh? Nahi, kuch nahi.

Once again Ashi started looking back down at her ring. Yuvi couldn't take it anymore. He pulled over to a side somewhere.

Ashi- Yuvi, tum mujhe yahaan kahaan le aaye ho?

Yuvi- Ashi, main tumse eik poochoon?

Ashi- Poocho.

Yuvi- Kya tum humaari engagement se khush nahi ho? I mean, are you having 2nd thoughts?

Ashi- Nahi toh.

Yuvi- Are you sure?

Ashi- Yuviiiii, you trust me naa?

Yuvi- Khud se zyaada.

Ashi- Then?

Yuvi- Ashi, main kabse notice kar raha hoon ki tum apni engagement ring ko stare kar rahi ho.

Ashi- Oh woh. Yuvi, main toh sirf yeh soch rahi thi ki humaari life kitni change ho jaayegi.

Yuvi- Bas? Itni si baat? Ashi, obviously humaari life change hojaayegi. Iss main soch ne waali kaunsi baat hai?

Ashi- NAhi Yuvi, woh actually, aaj subha mumma ne mujhse kahaa ki.... (tells him the whole chocolate icecaream ke din bandh situation)

Yuvi- Ashi, tum sach mein paagal hogayee ho. Aunty ne kahaa aur tumne maan liya? Aunty was probably joking yaar. And anyway, kya tumhe aisa lagta hai ki main tumhe in any way force karoonga eik total pati vrata sati saawitri types ban ne ko?

Ashi- ... No, par...

Yuvi- Ashi, babes, just chillax. Shaadi ke baad main tumse kuch nahi expect karoonga. Jaise hum ab hain waise hi tab honge. I don't care ki tum kya pehan thi ho kaise act karti ho, kya karti ho. Whatever. Tum saari peheno yaan mini skirt, churidaar peheno yaan jeans, meri liye toh tum Wacko hi rahogi naa?

Ashi- Haan... wait WHAT???!!!

Yuvi- uhh... kuch nahi.

Ashi- No what did you just say?!!

Yuvi- (laughing) Kuch nahi Ashi, really.

Ashi- (continuously hitting him jokingly) Psycho I'll kill you. Main tumhe nahi chodoongi.

Yuvi- (laughing) Arre lekin main kahaan chahtha hoon ki tum mujhe chodo.

Ashi- (stops) Psycho, it's just a figure of speech. Zyaada khush hone ki zaroorat nahi hai.

Yuvi- Really? Toh are you saying ki tum mujhe sach mein chod dogi?

Ashi- Maine aisa toh nahi kahaa.

Yuvi- (getting really close to her) Toh phir... kya?

Ashi- (smiles teasingly and puts hand on his cheek) Yehi ki... (pushes his face so he's looking at the road) road ki taraf dekho and seedhi tarhaan drive!

Yuvi- (starts driving) God!!! You are sooo boring. Wacko, engagement ke baad kya saari chicks itni hi boring ho jaati hain?

Ashi- (shockingly, but smiling) Chicks??? Ahaan. Psycho, yeh CHICKS kya?

Yuvi- Oh woh aise hi.

Ashi- Whatever. Anyway, tumne bataaya nahi ki hum jaa kaha rahe hain???

Yuvi- Oh haan. Uh, woh actually, we're meeting up with everyone.

Ashi- Kyun?

Yuvi- Shopping ke liye. Obviously.

Ashi- SHOPPING????

Yuvi- Haan, shaadi ki shopping nahi karni?

Ashi- Stop the car. STOP THE BLOODY CAR!!!!!!

Yuvi- (pulling over AGAIN) Kya hua??? Tum theek toh ho naa?

Ashi- Yuvi shopping???? Me and shopping. Maine kabhi bhi life mein shopping ki hai? I HATE SHOPPING!!!! What's wrong with you???

Yuvi- Ashi, shaadi ki shopping karna important hai. Aur hum akele nahi jaa rahe. Sab honge wahaan. Humaare saare friends are coming.

Ashi- But SHOPPING??? Kyun????

Yuvi- Ashi....!!!

Ashi- Fine!!! Chalo!

Yuvi- (driving again) You girls and your moods.

Ashi- Excuse me, tum guys kaunse moodless hote ho?

Yuvi- Listen wacko...

Ashi- (her phone rings) Shhh. My phone. (answering) Hello?

Vrinda- Hi Ashi.

Ashi- Hi maate!!!

Vrinda- Ashi tum log kahaan ho? Hum kab se wait kar rahe hain tum dono kaa.

Ashi- Woh Maate... uh here. (giving phone to Yuvi)

Yuvi- Ya Vrinda.

Vrinda- Kahaan ho tum log Yuvi???

Yuvi- Hum abhi 2 minutes main ponchthe hain. Just parking.

Vrinda- Okay. See you.

Yuvi- Bye.

Ashi- Kya hua?

Yuvi- We're here.

Ashi- (sarcastically) Great.

Yuvi- Chalein? They're waiting.

Ashi- Chalo.

They go inside and meet up with their friends. Then they all go into the different shops in the mall.

Sid- Dude, tumhe itni der kyun lagi?

Yuvi- Ashi se poocho.

Ashi- Yeh Yuvi baar pull over jo kar raha tha. That's why.

Yuvi- Main??? Tumhaari wajaah se hi toh...

Ranveer- Ab aap dono please jhagadna mat shuru kijiyega.

Yuvi- But dude...

Ranveer- Banaa... rehne dijiye. Sid, aap bhi naa.

Sid- Maine kya kiya? Anyway, kahaan jaana hai pehle?

Varun- Wherever.

Pri- Ummmm, food court???

All- NAHI!!!!

Latty- (pointing to a shop with traditional clothes) Guys let's go there.

All- Chalo.
