ashi n uv went to yuvis farmhouse….after a nice brunch, they walked together hand in hand across the pretty fields….
" u knw uv, Mr. Gray was very disappointed that wht mamma told me, he thought it would be grand to have in the office…you must get down to work, and the longer u leave it the harder it'll be"
" do u knw, I've got an idea tht I want to do more with my life than sell bonds"
ashi smiled dryly n then spoke
" ha!!...so go in for law or study medicine or anything else"
" no, I don't wanna do tht either"
" wht do u want to do then?"
" loaf" yuvi replied calmly
" oye yaar this isn't funny" ashi voiced quivered
" hey, I don't want to make u miserable"
" it's all very fine to say u don't want to make me miserable…but ur making me miserable uv…u see, I love u"

They were silent for a while, then uv spoke
"the dead look so terribly dead when they're dead"

"ya, very vague" nodded yuvi
Silence fell upon them again…ashi broke it this time
"you're so different from wht u were before u went to leh uv"
"a lot happened to me then u knw"
"such as?"ashi questioned
"my friend died saving my life. It was easy to get over"
"tell me more abt it uv"
"U already knw, I rather not talk abt it farther"
" are u unhappy?"
"No…the only thing tht makes me unhappy is tht im making u unhappy"
he took her arm n there was something so tender so friendly in the feel of his strong hand against her's, something so intimately affectionate….
"I think I shall never find peace till I make up my mind about things…it's very difficult to put it into words….. the moment u thinking u trying u give up…U say 2 urself: 'who am I to bother about this, that n other? Wuldnt it be better to follow the beaten track n let wht's coming to u come? And then u think of a fellow who an hour before was full of life and fun, and he's now lying dead; its all so cruel n so meaningless. Its hard not to ask urself wht life is all about…whether there is any sense to it or whether its all a tragic blunder of blind fate"
It was impossible not to be moved by yuvi n his thoughts said in his melodious voice with such sincerity.
" how much time do u need uv" ashi asked out of the blue
" wht do u mean?"
" I knw u need time...i knw there is sumethin troubling u…thr is something ur heart is looking for…but I don't knw wht?"
" im…but nor do I knw wht…."
"how much time do u need sweety"
" we're still young, marriage can wait for another 2 yrs cant it?
" yes it can uv…n it will…take ur time"
" ashi ur the sweetest person I hv ever known"
" bas bas abhi jaada mat mujhe!! Physco" she grinned
" seriously ur a mad mad wacko!!" he grinned back
