"Major Saab," Paro's voiced echoed in the haveli. Where could he be, she thought. "
Major Saab.. Stop playing around.. I need to speak to you!" Her movements halted for a moment, awaiting some sort of response.. will he pop up from behind the pillars or yell back from wherever he is.. yet she got was silence. She was sure he didn't leave for work today, it was a Saturday after all, and besides even if there was some emergency at work, he'd let her know. With all these lingering questions about her husband's whereabouts, she just had to stop this hide and seek game. Letting out a sigh, Paro decided to resume with her chores, confident that he would appear eventually.
After Rudra had finally joined them for dinner, just before she could pull him aside and start her interrogation, he immediately snatched her away from everyone else, jolting her and making her blush by literally sweeping her off her feet with a cheeky smirk wiped all over his handsome face. "W-what are you doing Major Saab, put. me. down. Everyone is watching". He couldn't careless of course, he was a jallad after all. Ignoring her bouts of embarrassment and failed attempts at jumping out, he continued to walk out of the courtyard, strongly with his delicate and petite wife in his arms up to the rooftop, where he had been missing all day.
With all the kicking and mumbling bouts of uneasiness, once he stepped foot on the rooftop, he gracefully let her down. Paro almost jumped off, given that she had just been humiliated in front none other than her in laws. Again, just as she was about to give him a piece of her mind, she opened her lips to be seized by his and just like that.. all that anger was washed away. She was clueless, she was helpless and she was absolutely on cloud 9. Rudra took his sweet time. He knew this would distract her plus, he missed her. He hadn't kissed her since this morning, bechari mein, he thought to himself. Eventually stopping to breathe, she realized how different the rooftop was looking. Lights and candles illuminating the old world charm of their home. Looking back at her husband, with the most gentle and radiant smile, she hugged him tightly. "I thought we deserved a quiet night alone.." he tenderly whispered into her ear. With that being said, it was a night full of promise. Her hand in his, he lead her to their mat, laying down together under a night full of stars.
Am I the only one that's missed this romantic misdemeanour. Thought this was good way to end it but if you see this going somewhere, let me know by leaving a comment.
I'm not sure if drabbles can be continued but why the heck not ;p Once again, please share your thoughts. 😳
Lots of love,
