Seriously, I heard people telling me that they pick up whats in trend as in fashion from TV shows ... especially saas bahu ones... but still I dont think fashion anyway dictates the popularity of the show.

I feel its the story telling which matters in the end. To some extent slot timing also is a factor on TRPs. If you know what i mean, its hard to get the remote from you hubby or daddy who probably wants to see news. Its sort of adult timing anyway .. so you have cut most of the youth already. Thats why gopi bahu is still reigning (i feel 😆) ...like it or not you have the remote . Unless you count Bade Ache Lagte Hain's first years popularity even though being aired at 10:00 am. ... but then it had a slight humour base in the story and I remember even male viewers used to tune in.. where as Rangrasiya is more intense and dark

Disagree. In Islam you can marry your 1st cousin. It doesn't make it "eww" and "nauseating".

My mom and dad are first cousins too.

I agree... I think people should stop making such offending comments which might hurt other member's feelings.

True.. Actually many people don't know Muslim marriages. So they shouldn't really judge. If this was a Hindu drama that comment would have been appropriate as cousin marriages aren't done in Hinduism.

My darling... whoever told you that...In southern India...in Hindus... cousin marriages (brother's and sister's children only not children born to 2 brother or 2 sisters) are allowed to get married. Not only that in some areas of southern India...if you are girl, then that girls mother's younger brother (if age eligible) is also considered for a wedding.

although such matches are discouraged by men in science, they still happen... and so we should be mindful of all sections of members on this forum

thats fine... all well if we just respect each other...It can be difficult to understand a custom or practice which is not in one's own culture... but it does not have to be wrong in some way... its only that one practices it and another doesn't .. thats all...

Being an ardent fan of both RR and BI, I was offended reading the comments of some people. I plead everyone not to make comparisons between the shows or the actors. Both the shows are respectively unique in their own ways, which is why I watch them. Comparing actors will only create fandom wars. I personally love the costumes of Sanaya and the beautiful salwars aren't the reasons that BI appeals to me. As per the TRP, they are both going very strong due to their respective viewers so no need to compare. Please avoid making comments on the religions as again it will instigate us to make comments that will hurt each other's feelings. With this said I am deeply hurt as I am very protective of my favorite shows and to see the fandom of one ridicule the other is disappointing.😭
***I am sorry if anyone was offended by any part of my post.***

There's no need to bring in another show in this forum. And their actors as well. Besides clothes have never dictated ratings.
