Was checking out the TRP for week 18..Couldn't believe that BI is way ahead in the TRP chart. Nothing against the serial but RR has a lot more action and emotion..What I noticed is..BI, Preetika has really beautiful salwars and shows lot more family kichidi that family folks prefer to watch. Even Harshad with lot of professional look..

RR has a selective audience, to start with - Sanaya's costume..all are chosen very wisely and looks pretty on her, but for a family look, where rest of the serials all the protogonists are pallu covered heads..here atleast people expect her to cover her front fully..Not to get bashings..but thoughts to watch the serial full with family. Even major can wear causals sometimes - instead of the typical white, grey or black with jackets..Plus need all the characters in the show..RR seem to have restored it.

Hope to get the costumes improved and tracks framed with tighter story line..So much hardwork should get appropriate credit.>Thats what I am looking forward to...

I was taking your post seriously till the part you got to the costumes being the reason behind the low TRPs 😆

And if by whatever twisted logic it is true (which it isn't), then it's high time Indian TV audiences start shifting their perceptions and become more open minded. I hope RR doesn't change and lose its novelty to meet their obsolete whims and fancies.

Plots, tracks, direction and maybe even language I can understand.

But just because he is wearing jackets or she is showing her navel is no reason the show cannot be deemed suitable for families.

Do we have periodic costume issue bouts? Monthly/quarterly cycles?

Um... I'm sure the TRPs reflect a lot more than clothing concerns. Must be something else.

I can't stand Bi because of the girl. She doesn't have any expressions :/ She's worse than Katrina..!! Katrina looks pretty at least :)

Could also be people are expecting a army based story and we got only one operation of the Birpur encounter..thinking out loud..

The relation between everyone is brought up very nicely and story is also progressing well..Just curious what really is not letting the show gain TRPs.

dimag mat kahrab karo go and make post in bi forum... aur trp mein bhi kitna faraq hai its just 0.3 or0.4 that doesn't make the other one a huge hit... i u want to praise the the other show get lost to that one

I'm not an extremely consistent viewer of the show, but I'll give my two cents.

I was a huge, and I mean huge, fan of Thakur and the new outlook of evil he brought in RR. It was so very different and refreshing from the plotting mother-in-laws and cruel vamps, and it set the show apart from the rest. I think the element which drew me into the show has actually gone missing in the CVs wanting to pursue the interests of TRP audiences.

It may hurt them more to consistently fret about ratings and adapt the plot to receive them... rather than just continuing the serial as originally crafted and providing a new and unique story.

The truth of the situation darling is that how many people like stories of wuthering heights kind or othello kind... not all type of viewers like intense passionate type of stories... on other hand if you hav light hearted stories then if not all type of viewers... but most of them will like it.
