Hey Sush - hard-hitting post - I am glad we have different passionate views in the forum - whilst we wait patiently for the raw passion on the TV
I am a bit lost with the speed of the tracks and changes in characters to be honest I only watched 2 other shows completely ( Sanaya's last two) , and dip in and out of the others - but I have suspended disbelief and learnt to go with the flow -so I will watch till the end. I will of course love it whilst I connect to the characters and as I love intensity and raw passion - I will always crave that.

I will also keep analysing everything as I do love the show. coming to the last episode -I thought the button scene was sweet and I also think that Rudra will revert to type when Paro leaves him - so am just enjoying his sweet ( and unusual) side before it all goes dark again - I really hope they do the separation track justice as i feel that it could be really powerful if done right as well as really build the characters of Rudra and Paro - so i will wait and see

I really hope you keep watching too as I love your Sushpectives!

My POV ... which might be as unpopular as yours, esp to the Rudra as Jallad lovers 😛 ... I never really saw Rudra as being all that stone hearted and fierce as he was made out to be. Because from the beginning, even when he was at his jallad best ... or worst ... he was shown to be an emotional sort of fellow. The first breakdown when the mother of his dead soldier cursed him, came withing the first couple of weeks of the show, if I remember right. And the repeated breakdowns have only cemented that view for me ... now whether that was the intention of the makers, or a mistake in their writing, I don't know. But he came across from the beginning as a weak man who is struggling with his demons, and has grown that very thin shell over himself to cloak the lost child inside him. That shell is very thin ... and it cracks repeatedly ... every time there is a stress factor, he breaks ... be it the loss of his men, his job, his father ... he breaks down or gets drunk. NOT the signs of a strong or independent man. I also felt that despite his rough exterior, he was pretty much a gentleman, as far as women were concerned ... except with Laila, of course.

Also, even at his very worst, Paro could see through the shell to the man within ... there was this connection with her from the start. The first time he told her about his mother (after the mehndi), she put her finger on his pulse ... he's a lost child, still living in hope that his mom will come back. And somewhere inside, that lost child still wonders whether his mother left because of him ... that even his own mother could not love him.

So when Paro mothers him, showers her love on him, despite everything he does to push her away, he laps it up thirstily ... as a sign that he is not unloveable after all. And Paro's love is what will actually give him strength ... he was not strong earlier.

One thing I liked about the previous serial from this PH is that they maintained the hero's roughness with the rest of the world, and showed his soft side only to his wife. That is what I want here too ... and I think (I might be wrong) I can see that happening. Rudra's brain has already returned with the beginning of his acceptance of Paro ... he is displaying more intelligence than he ever did earlier, as his ever present anger abates. Being angry all the time is not a sign of strength ... we have already accepted that Paro, with her calmness is a far stronger person ... if Rudra, with Paro by his side, can figure out Laila's true intentions (should be easy, the way she's behaving), AND also that she is hand in glove with Mohini, that is a bigger sign of his strength and independence than just showing that roughness and anger all the time.

Agree with u totally Diya S

I think I understand what you are trying to say.

I am not sure whether I would be able to express my thoughts in so much convincing way as you did but just couldn't control my temptation to write here.

The recent episodes got me once again to the root cause of all disappointments, that is writing. Seeing the story line, I am once again convinced that the CVs/writers never had a clear idea about how they are going to achieve the ultimate objective of the show ... that is, how a man like Rudra with a tragic past and hatred to women finally embraces love. I thought the journey would be rough, passionate and certainly a difficult one. It will be a challenge for Paro to change his beliefs .. And for Rudra too, to finally accept the love of a beautiful woman, forgetting all bitterness and hatred of past.

But everything has been so easily resolved that I think the show has already achieved its objective. That is Rudra is in love with Paro and has already taken the role of a good husband. Their is no inner conflict in Rudra's mind either about his feelings for Paro.. He never disputes when Paro speaks directly about his acceptance of her as his wife and how much he really cares for her. Now they are happily married couple like Akshara-Naitik or Gopi-Ahem..and the show can only go on by bringing vamps and villains one after another ..

And romance?? I was thinking about it ... why the confessions of lovers have to be always in a drunken state? why the physical proximity between the leads has to be shown only through a button, needle and thread! What is wrong with the writer? Doesn't he have any other idea of romance??

I expected depth from the show.. but unfortunately things are too shallow for me now...

Rudra has left no sign uncovered about his love for Paro.. and that has become so ordinary that i don't see anythings special in his character anymore. I am not talking about his breakdowns and cryings.. I meant resistance.. There in no verbal or silent resistance from Rudra anymore and that makes me wonder, what is for Paro to achieve now?

GPK...I am with you...
There is so much I can say,...but I am stopping myself...because I promised to end the discussion on page 9... As I am so out of the zone...to find this romance ...actually romantic...

Lets just hope...it was this week that was botched up...next week hopefully they have a different director...

I do think...they will swing Rudy like a yo yo,.,.between completely this way and completely that way...The thought about losing independence was already inserted in Fridays episode...so it is not lost on them...

My problem is ...it has been introduced as Laila's argument...like a dirty word ...in the same breath as Janawar...and that really upsets me...hence the title of the post...

Sorry missed your post last night!

I agree with you...it is the pace that is the issue...before you can digest anything...they are onto something else... I think event wise...a fast pace is a good thing...but emotion and personality wise...it is not...

I think you have hit the key question...what does he want...I will also add...what is he able to do...what demons still haunt him...? How do they impact his present? How do they reflect in his behavior? Where does he act just like another guy happy to play the hubby ...and where is it a big struggle for him...

And then about Paro...

Ok...she is doting and she wants to take care of him...but it can't be all one dimensional ...There has got to be more...But nothing more came across...

Give it some time Sush. For all you know it might be a different guy you see this week. That's how quick things move in this show :| I agree completely, event wise a fast pace is a good thing. Not necessarily emotion and personality wise.

In my view that pace becomes a problem for track transitions ..when the pace is so swift it gives very little time for the viewers. The transition from Jaipur to the ladoo poison 1 then ladoo poison 2 and then Laila entry happened so soon, one after another. And it affects everything from.the content...and more importantly the characterization... So while I'm looking forward to the separation track, I realize if they keep going at the same tempo, that track too will fail to hv the desired impact...

May be its panic due to fledgling & fluctuating ratings, the cricket which affects their viewership so they r forced to hold back content for another time...or feedback which they get from online forums like this one...whatever... be the cause, there r issues they need to iron out. Hopefully they will figure it out soon, otherwise they hv a wonderful cast and crew...full of talented people, no reason why this show cant do better.

Hi Sush ,
Hope your spirits are up now. Want to request you not stop your post or your mom's post which I wait eagerly everyday and weekends please... Your Mom hooked me up to YHM😃.
After a stalker for long time to the forum I registered just to press like to awesome posts made by humorous SJsa, yours , sunara's and others.

About RR I really hope director Samir Kulkarni sir comes on board soon.

I can not tell or write like you or anybody in the forum but one thing I want to mention is
Rudra -- fire
Paro -- water (that too rain which is pure)
If water drops on fire there is no way for fire to escape except to cool down.
If that water is from any flowing water there is a way for fire to go in other direction but
Dilsher compared Paro with rain water so cooling is the result.
Rudra tried /trying his best with his 8 vachans and doing all his chores by himself but Paro with her innocence and purity making him realize her love for him , he is not able to understand what to do when she's around him.
About intensity I think again if it is from Rudra side it may be intense but from Paro side may be soft.

I want to write a lot but stopping don't want you to be bored as it was discussed already. I don't know if it made any sense also if it not ignore .

Sincere request please don't stop.
Will be waiting for mom's Pov.

I wanted more of the kind of tension and reluctant but fierce attraction and fascination that was evident in Jaipur.

sorry to say, this whole Laila set up is just not working for me. While I like that she's giving it good to Kakisa, her presence in the haveli, in the middle of their bedroom and everywhere else is just ... not fun, in fact its quite
