Hi there

Iv been meaning to read ur drabble series all mnth but iv been waiting till i could devote myself to reading it all in one go.
Which iv just done!

Ur concept of the colours is unique. Each colour having an association with the 3 different characters, certain moods and emotions and vivid imagery. The reader drawn into each one so cleverly.

The layout made it appear to be poetry to me. As a life long poetry devotee; thats always good visually.

For me the green and laila perspective were pure envy and jealousy.

The blue equalled Heavenly.

Each piece has been arresting in its own way evoking specific imagery and emotions.

The red evolving into having a totally different meaning for rudra.
He is being compelled against his will to now visualise it as symbols of thier marriage and not bloodshed and death.
His inner conflict is clear.
Just Incredible.

... This-

Fresh tears spilled out of her eyes, as she saw in front of her, the women of her own village, gathering around her, taking her earrings off one by one. She saw them weeping, and saw how they took off her necklace next. She saw herself screaming, begging them to stop, but it seemed no voice fell on their deaf ears. She saw them moving her hands to break the red glass bangles. She saw them making her dress in the indigo, that was now going to be a permanent part of her life.

... Touched my heart deeply.
An asian bride is ritually pampered beautified decorated and adorned for her groom. Making her feel like the most special girl in the world.
But now suddenly, the opposite is happening. against her will she is being pillaged and stripped of all her wedding finery to be forcibly dressed as a widow. It surely must feel as ugly and as violating as being raped and i felt like a shamed bystander.
It reminded me of the scene from PREM ROG with padmini.
a film i love still.

Maybe for this emotional attachment iv made, its the reason why Thats the stand out paragraph for me in an astonishing series full of quality writing.
Full of Many stunning last sentences.

Im last to comment here i notice. So i dont know if u will see my post but i hope u do and i also hope ul send me links to ur other work please!

Yet again, im so impressed to find another wonderful writer

Thank u

Yellow

This.

This is exactly what i want for Paro. For her to retain the essence of her being, her kindness, her guileless nature and through the course of show to learn her own strength and audacity.

He did not ruin her. Instead, like the ever radiant, yellow sun, he had nurtured her into a completely different Paro.

The disaster that was her first wedding, the truth about her fiance, the Thakur's betrayal, all of these events have been a crucible for her and with Rudra as the fire she has been forged anew.

So what if the heat was unbearable a few times?

Some fires were worth burning in.

❤️

Grey

Oh boy Anky. Just when i think this series cannot possibly get any better i read this.

She was everything, She was green. She was blue. She was pink. And she was red.

And she had filled so many colors at once, that he had had to close his eyes in the fear of losing his vision.

She IS so many colors at once isn't it? The sheer joy that is Paro. And she is gradually touching on so many other colors inside him as well. Blue for the calmness she brings him. Orange from basking in the warmth of her love. Yellow for the sheer joy she brings. Green, the color of spring, of renewal and rebirth, of new beginnings and nurturing. Red for the passion she ignites.

He see's the world as grey with progressively darker shades. And She.. Apart from the grey, she unerringly spots the myriad hues that one has hidden away.

Typical her, he smiled, and gently kissed her.

These last lines will be the death of me Anky!

Indigo

I didn't know that Indigo was the color for widows. Learnt something new today!😃

This takes me back to the terrified Paro at the beginning of the show. Her utter devastation and desolation at witnessing a terrifying massacre in front of her.

Her desperate need to go home and in the same breath the thoughts of what would happen if she did in fact manage to get home, so beautifully portrayed!

PS: I love it when Rudra repeats " Woh tera pati nahi tha!" on the show.

This was a beautiful series!! You interpreted each colour in a very unique and creative manner. Grey and Blue were the best, according to me. I just wish you had written for Pink too. I loved it Anky 🤗

Firstly, kaan pakadke sorry for reading this so late. I know I'm a bad dost. Sowwy !
GREEN
I've always wanted to see into Laila's head and this was a great view. I don't like her but I can't help admire the fire in her. Green definitely suits her. Lol

BLUE
Such a calming and soothing color, but I could still feel Rudra's desperation through it. Lovely!

ORANGE
This one brought a smile to my face. The color was portraying fire but the feeling was of love. Beautiful!

YELLOW
The way you compared Rudra to the sun was fantastic. And what made it even better was how Paro blossomed because of that sun.

GREY
Adorable! This definitely seems to be Rudra's color because he himself is neither perfect nor evil.
INDIGO
This was chilling but still so aptly depicted. Beautifully done.

RED
...the red summoned. That was ah-mazing! Took my breath away!

Anks that was absolutely magnificent! Beautifully written! I loved it!

I'm finally here! Sorry for reading so late!
Its so nice coming back to your stories. Even though I haven't gotten around to properly watching Rangrasiya I have an idea about the show in bits and pieces and I loved this drabble.

My favourite was Grey. Even tough grey is usually associated with dullness or with the grey shades of humans like you mentioned in the drabble, yet it was the sweetest of all the colors. And I just loved that contrast. It was the only one that made me smile ^_^

With red I had anticipated you'd write something passionate, like usual. But I guess you don't do usual. It was passionate but on a completely different level and I liked that about it.

Same goes for Indigo and for the rest. The best part about this series was the depiction of colors. It was age old and yet completely new!

Like all the rest of your writings, this one rocked too!!

The skies. The skies had definitely changed color since she came into his life.

But what he felt when he looked at her was far from the clarity of the blue skies that the desert was so used to.

No. She looked more like the beautiful mirage he saw every second day, travelling on the barren sands, patrolling.

Every time he would look at her, even for fleeting seconds, he'd feel it all to be too surreal to exist.

He'd be reminded of how mirages worked.

How the glistening blue of water would just appear out of nowhere, giving you promises of quenching your parched throat and relieving you of the burn inside your body.

Yet, as soon as you would reach it and try to touch it, the blue of it all would just disappear, mocking you. Regarding you a complete fool for even believing in the first place that such serene blue could exist.

That she could exist.

Maybe he was in some deep slumber, or Coma from a war, and his mind was dreaming about the existence of a woman so beautiful, divine and perfect like her.

It was all a vivid dream, where he would be allowed to drink her in as much as he would want, to satiate the thirst that he had been nursing for a lifetime.
