Author's note:

Phew!

So, with that, this series comes to an end.

I'd like to thank all of you lovely and amazing readers, who have commented throughout on measly 200 something words.

Thank you so much. You guys have no idea how grateful I am for your reviews.

Because for a writer, reviews are everything.

When KD told me she wanted me to do this idea, I had tried to wriggle out of it with all my strength. I am glad that I couldn't. Coz then, I wouldn't have come across such insightful reviewers..! Your comments really did leave me breathless at times, and trust me, I cannot thank you guys enough!

Okay, maybe this post contains only thank yous.. But bear with me. Please.

I hope I did not disappoint you people with the last installment, and it was everything you thought it'd be.

If it wasn't, then I apologize. Sorry peeps!

A special thank you to both Paro and Rudra. It had been so long that I went cray cray over fictional characters on Indian telly... Thank you PaRud for bringing that back in me.

And thank you amazing forum! I really do louuv you guys!

Much Love,

Anky.

Hi, updated a comment right here...
Hope you like it!!!

Will come with more later for the next 3 colors...

EDIT 1:

Grey... Something that is in between black and white, something that can be termed a neutral...

The color defined Rudra!!!! As he had very aptly summarised that its not always just merely good or bad, black or white but something in between... GREY!!!!

And Paro is the color in his world of greys... She lights up his world, filling it with different shades of bright colors, which untill now he never thought existed in such harmony!!!!

A very beautiful and symbolic piece...

I loved all the lines in this drabble, so couldn't really pick one as the best!!!

EDIT 2:

Indigo and Rajasthan widows:

This one one was quite a sad one, speaking in Paro's context...!!!!! The poor girl had to lose it all, right in front of her eyes, even before she could get a shot at happiness... This one reminded me of the initial promos of the show, where Paro was surrounded by a group of women taking off/ breaking her jewellery!!!!

Its heart-breaking to see anyone having to live through such a day's nightmare!!!!
Brilliantly written piece!!!!

P.S: Dor is a beautiful movie and the song is fabulous!!!!!

EDIT 3:

Red changes everything here!!!!!! Paro's life changed from the darkness of Indigo to Red...

A good choice of tale for the color... Appropriately chosen to depict Paro's and Rudra's life now, tied to each other by holy matrimony!!!!! If earlier it used to be the color of death for Rudra, now its become his beacon that beckons him to her!!!!

"All the red on her, drew him in with a force so great, he felt his entire existence would dissipate if he didn't beckon to her call."

For some reason I thought you were going to associate red with blood but you surprised me again, anky.

Red, suhaad ka rang. It is indeed the color that bounds him to her and vice versa. the color which once was just lahu ka rang for him today is something which changed his life for ever. It now stood for the sacred bond of marriage between two unlikely people joined together by destiny.

lovely update anky. so sad it is over. It was a wonderful journey. hope you come up with something like this again.❤️

Each colour was known but the story absolutely unpredictable. Such strength in each drabble which took a unbeaten path. Astounding really.

Caught up with Indigo and Red in one go
Indigo was beautiful - we forget Paro was a widow we are so caught up with her and Rudra, and it refreshing to go back in time and explore her feelings - I'm sure for someone like her to be a widow for a lifetime, when she never even had a taste of married life - must be more than heart-breaking - more like devastation. What kind of life do widows have? That too so young. You brought out the horror beautifully

And Red, a wonderfully fitting climax - red is anyway my favourite colour so was waiting for it and of course red is from Rudra's point of view and no i never thought of Paro as a dominatrix! Haha🤣
I can see how he might think of her as one as he is so far gone - he will do her bidding come what may also a very powerful image of the sindoor - it signifies marriage and you really brought out the power behind it!

Awesome series! waiting for the next one 😉

First, thank you for a beautiful series based on theses beautiful characters. The way you weaved those colours in their lives...brilliant!
Red, truly a magnificent colour and the colour of her Sindoor, which she so loving adorns, so it is only befitting that he is pulled towards it (and her).

Kinda sad that the series has ended but please do keep writing...you write so well.

Red, the colour he claimed her with by applying the sindoor. Loved it 👏

Thank you for writing this series and KD who told you to do so. Thanks to you both I got to read such amazing stuffs. Being totally honest, my favorite one was YELLOW. I loved that one the most.

👏Cant believe the series came to an end. Am amazed by how few words can reveal such depths.
Your writing just proves why we love this couple so much

Red the color of bloodshed has become bride's color for him.
Beautiful arch!

Thank you for writing such wonderful drabbles. Truly, you have touched a chord in anyone who has read it👏

Forgot to add, he had smeared her in red in the first meeting too. symbolic, isnt it?

Red

Definitely my favorite. It's amazing how we can associate colors to different aspects of life. Fantastic job you did with this concept!

The sindoor and mangalsutra have come to mean as much to her totally besotted husband as they mean to her. Maybe even more so.

its awesome...red is ofcourse the color of blood...and sindoor...as he said when he called her his 'adharmi patni'...but red as mangalsutra is unique ...only for rudra and paro...you beautifully captured his emotions..the difference he felt with HIS sindoor..does that means paro's fake marriage with varun?..i guess so... its finished already!!
