Eve ever since I read a few posts on this forum about how paro is getting a raw deal, I was wondering how long will it be for the CVs to turn it around and make Paro the I-know-all typical Indian serial woman. To my surprise it was pretty quick.
The thing that bothers me with this track is that - ok you think you both are destined to be together fine. Try and be subtle about it and prove it to him rather than making a public spectacle. Where is her self respect now?

It's a Indian Telly show after all. Heroine has to be the best. Heroes ko koi Akal hoti hai kya... Nahi. Sab ke sab bewakoof, gadhe hote hai...
The lady can get away with anything and everything, but the man has to pay for all his deeds.

As the audience we know that Rudra has feelings for Paro and is fighting them but she does not...she is just determined to MAKE him realise that they are meant for each other when he outwardly says that he wants nothing to do with her...however she has seen signs that she means more to him than he is letting on...so working on him expressing those feelings is fine...but so much emphasis on marriage and togetherness at this point is not good for him...it's frustrating to hum because no one sees his POV...and he has no one to talk to also!

So in essence yes we probably are guilty of enjoying this track because it's different and the lady proposed and we love that!😆

Evie, stop making me think😆

I'm with Pri on this

@red: I think the continuous emphasis on 'This/We are meant to be' that Paro is on repeat mode over should be restricted. It's her faith fine, bt Rudra is too damaged to accept his past & present let alone her beliefs and the signs surrounding their '15 yr connection'...😆

I totally agree with you Eve..right now I feel just like Rudra..love overnight???? I feel Paro right now is feeling more of gratitude, and that he is her destiny and she is going to get it. It is maybe more like a childish tantrum or zidd.
I admired her guts to tell him her feelings but going after his life with a marriage proposal is just wrong. Rudra was doing his duty protecting her, and he was attracted to her..but does not love her yet, does not want to marry her. Just because she is a naive, innocent woman (as opposed to Laila) he should not be forced to marry her.
In real life the woman would go about her life, do something with it rather than stick around an unwilling man. There is more to life than marriage.
But in reel life, soap world I don't know..I guess I am just rambling.

BUT ...I dont think it is applicable...
Because Rudy has a CHOICE, after all said and done...
Annoying someone is not a crime...holding them against their will is...and threatening to burn their village and kill their loved ones is coercion...also a crime.
If Rudy got a restraining order against her...it would be a different matter...but for now...she is only proposing...and thats OK to do...

I agree with you completely Sush! Besides, is everybody forgetting that unlike Rudra when he tried to force Paro to marry him and then Sumer Paro is actually giving Rudra a choice? She doesn't say "you HAVE to marry me", she proposes to him and says "I will wait for your yes"...so she is CONFIDENT that they are meant to be together, and as she is innocent she is trying to make him see that too...maybe she's not doing it in the best way...but she's doing the best she can do at the moment... Rudra still has a choice and if he really wanted to he could get rid of her permanently. But deep down he wants her near him. He isn't just physically attracted to her...he's complimented her personality traits as well. When he looks at her sometimes the emotion in his eyes isn't lust, it's care.

And please don't compare Laila to Paro. Those two are worlds apart and maybe their actions can be analyzed and categorized as similar...but don't forget, it's not necessarily the action that counts, but the intention. Paro's intention is different, she wants happiness for herself but she also wants Rudra's happiness and in that way she is also selfless. Laila just wants Rudra to herself because she's possessive and because she's jealous that the man she has an unhealthy obsession with is suddenly caring for a woman when he always said he could never care for any woman.

I mean, if anything, Laila is bloody stupid. How can she think she still has a chance with Rudra?! If he spent 8 years with her and not once felt any (non-sexual) feelings towards her what does that tell her?! Is she delusional or what?! If she actually had a chance with him he would have fallen in love with her a long time ago. The truth is, Rudra feels nothing for her and so her possessive tactics towards him annoy him but he is able to brush it off. With Paro however, he actually feels things for her and so she gets under his skin and he gets angry because - like Laila said - a woman after his mother is finally being able to motivate some feelings in him.

Team Paro!

Great thought everyone.
Here are a few More thoughts...

If Rudra hadn't forced marriage, Paro would not have reached the point of proposal herself.
For her the rituals meant something especially after Tejawats truth was out. Add to that the divine connection and she connects the dots.

The BSD will have to face malignation for Rudra's actions of forcing marriage and physical intimidation on a lady witness. So the only way they see out is to have Rudra marry her. So the force that finally tips Rudra's balance is probably Singh sir and other seniors and not Paro's stubbornness. Of course, we have to wait and see how that unfolds.

I don't see why Paro's proposal and wanting to be with Rudra so difficult to understand. I see that the divine connection is too unreal. The coincidence of the Rudra-Parvati connection is not THE only reason why Paro wants to be his, though it is significant for her. But would she have felt the same significance if Sumer's name had been Shiv or Shankar? So it's not just the divine connection, but also her real life experiences of having been with Rudra and seen his vulnerability and weaknesses and his care and protectiveness towards her that has stirred her.

Also If she could blindly agree to marry Varun, why not Rudra? With Varun she knew nothing about him except that he was an orphan and BCom pass. With Rudra she has seen his vulnerability and protectiveness and care toward her. I agree it's not love, but a sense of gratitude, hero worship and admiration. For a girl like Paro, love is not a pre requisite to be married.
With Rudra she atleast has something to work off of. With Varun it was blind belief.

One last thought.
Remember Rudra told Aman that if she doesn't break and sign the papers he has no choice but to marry her. So he would have forced himself to marry her at that time.
So Paro's proposal and feelings for him is not the main push factor for this pressure on Rudra. Rudra has written it upon himself, the first time and even now. Only difference now is that Paro is a willing partner.

Hi all...as it is impossible for me to respond to all individually ...I am condensing the major points and responses here...(I have read all the responses and thanks a ton for highlighting different facets of the same situation..loved em all)
First and foremost I have read that Rudra is responsible for this fiasco...the enforced marriage and rituals...First Rudra brought her home...his immediate senior was aware of it...and after bringing her home, a pretext had to be supplied a reason for her presence which was circumstancial...
ok my point...Rudra was a soldier...doing his work, protecting her to the best of his abilities...and coercing, threatening manipulating a witness, breaking a hostile witness is part of his job. Time n again I have pointed it out that this was quite mild coz it was fiction...in reality men in uniform go to intolerable lengths when they deal with such witnesses, who side with the scum of society, especially terrorists. In short, Rudra had a reason, we might think this was wrong, not valid...but in reality, it was. Rudra was on the right side and Paro on the wrong. Yes, she suffered and it was heart breaking...but the bottom line...she was on the wrong side, standing with a mass murderer, a man who not only supplied arms but also helped in human trafficking... and Rudra was on the side of law. His means were wrong (and once u deal with such people there is no wrong and no right) but his intentions were loud n clear. His aim very patriotic. Paro's sufferings were collateral damage...very harsh, very bitter, very unpalatable...but true. And if anyone was responsible for her plight...It was not Rudra...it was TEJAWAT. It was psychological warfare.
Having said that, the enforced marriage left a bitter taste in the mouth, made mine and am sure every female's blood boil cause it was intolerable to the extremes. And this happens in real life a lot, so there can be in arguments in favor of such acts. period.
If I hated Paro being forced into matrimony, how can I endure Rudra being forced into one too?? If its the worst punishment for Par, how can it be not the worst for Rudra too?? I yell for Paro's rights and I don't shout out for Rudra's fundamentals?? Heck No...this is a love story, with two characters...and I love them both. There has to be the same yardstick.
Now coming to society's thinking about Rudra and Paro equation...the whole world now knows that Paro was a witness under BSD's protection, and Rudra was the officer in charge. So, if they come to know that it was all a faade to protect a witness, they wouldn't be surprised or shocked.
If Paro would not have publicly made such a huge statement about her love and commitment and proposal for marriage, would the society have created an issue?? Would this have come under the scanner?? is my question. She by her actions, drew everyone's attention. And no Rudra, did not force her to do this. This was her decision, to rush to the award ceremony (what was the need) and declare openly and publicly and ask him to marry her, and consequently drag the society and the whole world in this mess.
I felt Paro was just thinking about herself, talking about herself. Her beliefs, her faith, her protector, her love, her destiny, her marriage...Rudra was not even a factor. There are two people in a love story, here Paro has written her love saga keeping just herself in mind, Rudra's unwillingness does not faze or affect her at all. In this love story, its all about her.
Also the points that it feels good when the tables are turned on Rudra or on a man for a change...well I cant argue with that..can I??😆 And that women suffer so much, that when men do sometimes...it feels refreshing...err have to agree to that too..right??😃
Rudra did it, so Paro can do it too...but Rudra did if it for a different reason, Paro's reasons are totally different. Rudra's were not about himself, Paro's don't take anyone else into account. Where is the compariosion?? Rudra's marriage proposal happened for a different cause, Paro's have a different shade.
On a serious note, the arguments here are forcing me to take sides, which I practically hate. This post was not about who is right and who is wrong..I love them and despise the fact that in order to present one side of the story or justify one's actions, I have to pull down the other, or throw one lead in bad light. In defending one, I end up condemning the other.
So, instead I prefer to close this post. Hope my buddies will understand and forgive and forget. Thanks all for some awesome povs and thought provoking comments, presenting both sides of the story.

i think u have to see the 3rd april episode once again.it does explain what paro inner feelings are.she basically wants to earn rudr trust back.its the utmost priority fr her rite now.she has this inner instinct that she can help rudr as she has seen him suffer for his mother,as what impact it had on his life and how it has changed him as a person altogether.this point is very very important .i know paro has started getting those love feelings but even those are superficial rite now.she herself is not too sure about them.its like u know when u start liking someone and u dont vioce it because u r unsure as whether the other person likes u or not???
i dont know if i have myself clear or maybe i have confused u more😆

Exactly my thoughts but after today's epi. I want her to leave him alone , and think twice before going to his haveli cuz RUDRA have serious issues of trusting beautiful woman today he really pissed me off I understand his feelings and frustration but man today he insulted her to much He called her , shameless and character less , he blame her that she opened her Dorris cuz she wants to seduce him

I think Paro has the answer you are looking for.
In yesterday's episode she said I want to do Mann Marji! She mentioned all her life she did what other people told her to do, but now she wants to do Mann Marji; Meaning what her heart desires. Her heart desires Major Saab. So Paro is on her quest to get her heart's desire Rudra.
