There were a few moments in today's episode that caught my eye and tickled my brain. So here are some random thoughts about today that I wanted to share with you.
Paro's flashbacks: It was interesting to see Paro finally have her PaRud flashbacks. We've seen Rudra have his FBs, and we've had Paro's where she sees Rudra as a Jallad. But this is the first time we've seen Paro relive good memories of Rudra. It was an interesting sequence starting with when Rudra saved Paro from the goons, saved her from the bullet by diving to ground and the roll, Rudra taking Kakisa's slap and saving her from Laila's knife. All cueing straight and simple protection. I wait for the day Paro relives some frankly sensuous moments with Rudra.
Rudra's eyes and tone don't match: He might tell her to get lost in as harsh a tone as he used on Laila, but in unguarded moments his eyes tell her something else altogether - consistently, increasingly.
Rudra gets some peace of mind: A moment I loved was when Rudra caught the bell before it tumbled and tied it up again. Just minutes before, the priest had asked him to tie a bell for his own peace of mind. And Rudra had rejected the offer, because he hadn't come to the temple for his own peace of mind but so that Bholenath should hear his mind's voice.
Well, having denied himself, it was an amazing coincidence that he was moved to tie the bell. And his face, I'm sure like his mind, at that moment was completely at peace. So perhaps, it was Paro who, knowing that he needed peace and wanting him to have some peace of mind, gave him some - indirectly.
Rudra's Prasad: Rudra had gone to the temple to get Prasad for his father. And actually the Prasad fairly fell into his arms as he walked up the steps. It was just that he couldn't see it. Didn't realise that Paro was his Prasad. She came home with him (a little later) anyway. And she will no doubt help Dilsher to get well soon.
Kakisa's weak link just got weaker: Devyani was always going to be Kakisa's weakest link in Dilsher's attempted murder. And today, by turning up at the haveli against Kakisa's orders, she proved to be just that. Danveer got to see her. What next? Will Devyani approach Kakisa for money again? Will she try and blackmail her? Looks like Kakisa will be fighting much more than candle-flame soon.
Kakisa's task just got harder: With Paro looking out for Dilsher 24x7 now, Kakisa's attempt to finish off Dilsher just got tougher. No doubt, she'll try again to find a way to blame Paro for another murder attempt. But, lightning never strikes in the same place twice...
Kakasa's mind just got uneasier: Rudra's just started calling him Kakusa - a big step forward in rebuilding trust and the uncle-nephew bond. And here comes Paro to compromise it. What Kakasa doesn't know is that Rudra also has Mala's kada that he passed on from her to Paro. If ever Rudra finds out that Kakasa was in touch with his mother all these years, then that's it for their bond.
A light and lovely episode today, building up to some more games - hide-and-seek, let's play sleepover, let's act nursey and dumb charades. Should make for some fun moments for as long as they last. Some darker clouds though on the horizon - Paro's discovery, the capture of Tejawat and Mala, another murder attempt by Kakisa.
Acting was spot on today everywhere. Without high drama, we saw some restrained, nuanced acting from many quarters. The actor who plays Danveer and Padam caught my eye and made me smile today with their antics and great comic timing. Ashish, Sanaya and Ananya were stellar as usual. The CVs interest me immensely: they are reprimanded for their irreverence towards the disabled and they promptly give us dumb charades??!! 😆
Waiting for tomorrow!
