Awesome Question and one i have no distinct answer too at all

I have realised this too, about others and myself being a main example:-
Maybe because its a tv show so entertainment wise its interesting to see
Maybe because they say every girl likes a bad boy of some sorts
Maybe because we cannot wait for that day when this ruthless mean man becomes a love sick puppy to his soulmate
Maybe because we would love to see his fall, eat his own words and regret all the things he did to the girl
Maybe because seeing how two opposites actually come together when every situation out there is forcing them apart

Its probably a mixture of them all but it is a regular occurrence that we all love the mean ruthless man on tv but no-one would ever want that in their real life partner

first of all two super actors .. then two pretty ones .. then as an audience we kind of know rudra is right kind of officer so I just seeing past the push and pull but truly hated watching rudra lila scenes ..

in real life if I really know a person is good at heart I can ignore other minuses ( not 100% sure )

It may be some sort of escapism from real world Where u can dream and be happy f or some time. Or in soaps u know eventually good always win which msy not happen in real world. Also the hero shoul be tall dark and handsome stleast fro ne. Then only I like to see the serial. Otherwise reject. Our majorsa fits the bill. 😳

Alpha males, be it Heathcliff of Wuthering Heights or Mr Darcy of Pride and Prejudice have one additional thing in common--protectiveness, and the sense that they CAN if needed, go into a very dark pace to take care of their loved ones. I would argue its not money, that attracts us women to these men--though of course ASR and MSK were both shown as rich tycoons. But that I think is more an offshoot of the fact that aggressive men go very far in business, and they typically end up making money because of their natural alpha drive--OR they end up in "protective" professions which channel their drive, like in the army, fire-fighting or in law enforcement.

The notion of power, and being sheltered behind that power is very seductive for any woman. In real life, you will be more likely give your phone number to the guy who you know protects his own--who takes care of his kid sister, who helps a random woman carry her bags, or who steps up and defends you when you are getting eve-teased on a bus.

Us modern women of the world might not need this protection, we might be able to fight our own battles, and do so in stilettos, no less--but the sense of having someone in your world who would do a fantastic job of slaying your dragons is also an atavistic, primal thing we look for in mates.

The primitive woman you used to be eons ago was good at recognizing the "signs" of the alpha male--and this is also hardwired into the feminine DNA. The Alpha will know how to fight danger, to steal/hunt the best food, to guard the cave where you are living. The "good boy" Suraj/Ahem types would have already been brained to death by the alpha male in the fight to get you to be his woman. And you TOTALLY would not have missed their softness.

We have evolved. But the roots of what we find attractive in a man have not. And as you observed, "pretty" boys displaying these characteristics would have simply not worked for us. We need the alpha character to be unabashedly male looking---dark, intense eyes, strong features, big build, powerful. Threatening, even. Again, traits that indicate the man will be a good protector/provider.. Evolution!!---but man, I have to say our cave-women ancestors sure knew how to pick the right physical male features to focus on to light MY fire in the here and now!

Waw. you Write so well... and you are absolutely right...! I am already fan of your writing.
