I get you they were in a mutual relationship that had no marriage in it ...he has seen another woman , she has seen him look at the other woman with more passion than he looked at her with, she knows its coming to an end , but he will not admit to it (cos he is not aware of it may be)...but she thinks he is cos he is marrying her...

now the question is Laila is hurt ...badly so ...(try sleeping with a man for 8 yrs ...and have him walk away)...and its just not the sleeping its the friendship companionship et al...
she feels let down and its a justification not the glorification of that...

by labeling her the vamp you negate her of all that ...many of the discussions have been the convenience of this type of story telling...

When I call her a vamp its not about what she does, or what she feels, in the past, or today...its from the story's pov. Just like Rudra is a hero, Paro is the heroine, KCM is a vamp, Thakursa is a villain (and all of these titles can be contradicted and discussed to great lengths)similarly Laila is a vamp created by the cvs and that's the role she is gonna play. Please don't read too much into rudimentary simple labels...its from the story's angle.
Yes, she is hurt and badly and that is natural on her part. I am not saying she does not have a right to feel bad, but does that give her a right to demand a pound of flesh from Rudra?? Or from Paro for that matter?? I am not saying that she does not have the right to cry, get angry or grieve..she does...but claiming its not fair...now that's unfair!! She can be heart broken but demanding or forcing Rudra to not fall for another or fall for her...that cannot be condoned either.

okay i will step the boundary here , we have fan clubs for dancers here and categorize characters

we cant even accept a dancer accepting a prostitute is far off and we categorize here, havnt watched today's episode , but laila's character except that she is not the lead doesnt have any flaw just based on physical relationship putting her into some category i feel is wrong

i dont have a issue if rudra doesnt fall for laila, love is not something that can be reciprocated to all in the same intensity , my issue is why is it she doesnt even deserve a explanation or sympathy

in her entry epi she herself toked abt other men who she met n came to met her n she admitte rudra is diffrent from others , something like dis , so cvs clearly hinted she is prostitute not only a dancer

Eve...all I can say Rudra did mention twice to Laila that it doesn't seem what it looks like...I didn't like the part where he carried her and laid her on his bed...it irked me...I fast forwarded the part😆...I don't remember him doing that with Paro...honestly...for me to enjoy Parud scenes this Laila/ Rudra bed scenes need to stop. It's getting extremely distasteful.

Kab khatum hoga?

Rap...nahin khatam hoga for a looonnng while...Laila is here to stay!!

i will have to disagree with most of the post, eveline.
One develops feelings for inanimate objects like your house, your favorite blanket, even your first car after using it for 8 years.

Rudra's callousness towards Laila speaks volumes about his character more than the stupidity of Laila's one-sided feelings. She has every right to feel betrayed because Rudra told her time and again that he is incapable of commitment. Yet he goes out there and chooses to marry a "good" girl (we know its not for love, but Laila doesn't know).

Even if she is a mistress, she has a heart and soul, a woman with feelings, who accepted his reasons for not committing and gave her everything to him without questions. Low self-esteem? you bet! She is not born of privilege or money or supportive family, and she knows the world out there is cruel. Rudra gets his salve from her and in return she gets his protection and support. It was a relationship of give and take and now its ruined. She has every right to feel jilted and rejected.

So yes, she is the vamp but you cannot brush aside the reasons that made her the vamp. She was certainly not born a vamp, deserving our collective ire. Her circumstances made her a vamp and yes, CVs will make it very black and white to help the viewers swallow it down easily.

Isn't Paro also exacting a sort of silent revenge on Rudra to fight for the rights of her people and for the death of her less than 3 hours husband? Then why are we surprised when Laila burns with revenge for the failure of an 8 year old exclusive give and take? Just because she is a mistress, therefore, nothing more than garbage?

Eve now that we have gotten to giving her the due of being angry ..
one cannot prescribe how one should be angry ..right...

well now they will use her anger to a convenient point where she becomes one more link to Paro's danger and eventually Rudra Paro fall in love ...

btw where did the use of Vamp come in ...to make KCM also a vamp

cos a vamp is one who uses her sexual charms to seduce a man...

I'm now rather fed up of the repeated posts on why Laila deserves Rudra and how he has wronged her ...

She went into this relationship with her eyes open, he promised her nothing, she was the one who built up false expectations. More fool her, to stay in a relationship for eight long years, when the man repeatedly tells her that he is not going to give her any more than what she has already got. If he didn't fall in love with her and change his mind about the status of their relationship in eight years, then she's the fool to keep her hopes high ... more than that, she is a doormat with no self respect, to keep coming back for more.

Let's hope with her character firmly established as the vamp, we have no more posts about how she deserves better. She deserves what she got ... period.

God Diyu it feels so good to hear back from you!!
The eight long years seems to have complicated matters here...but my question is why did she take it for so long?? She hoped for more?? From a man who repeatedly tells her that he is not ready to give her (and her) anything more?? Stubbornly waits knowing love or marriage was never on the cards, was never promised or discussed. And now her problem is...if you cant love me...you cant love her too?? And that's fair?? Yeh kaisa equation hai bhai??!! This is not love, its not pain...its the green eyed monster peeking from within!!🤢

Looking at things from Rudra's point of view, what you said is right, but I will not shift the entire blame on Laila either. Feelings and emotions cannot be defined or delineated so precisely. Some relations start at a particular point and change overtime with no clear plan from either party. Yes, Rudra was upfront with Laila, but he was also very aware of her growing posessivenes and obsession with him. He kept going back to her for pleasure or letting out steam. When lines blur and equations change cannot be pinpointed. Eight years is a very long time and from what we saw today even Rudra seems to know he owes Laila at least an explanation and at some level feels responsible otherwise why will he be startled to see her or take her to his room? Apart from not wanting others to find out about her identity, there was a concern, he did not simply push her aside.

I don't think it is always about sympathizing with a female character. Infact the creatives and most in this forum too look at things more from Rudra's lens and give him quite a bit of leeveway. Today Thakur knowing of Paro being alive and in Chandangadh and his goons having free access to the haveli are result of Rudra's faulty planning, and his demand for a big wedding with all rituals. In putting down Mohini he made his task of protecting Paro difficult. The lines of personal and professional are getting blurred for him and affecting his plans and his relation with Paro.

If we can give this leeveway to Rudra, Laila too can be cut some slack for how she is feeling and reacting. Relationships are complex, not clear cut like business deals and how lines get blurred is difficult to explain. Laila may not want marriage and domesticity but she did expect to be the only "woman" in his life, it maybe foolish in her part, but after a eight year relationship it is not a surprise. My take is nobody is at fault per say, human mind and heart do not function so clinically when one is in a situation, as outsiders we can be more objective.

You said pretty much what I wanted to say...very well put!
Love or feelings are not logical...not something that people think and develop strategically!
Simple fact is...when Rudra can be seen to be developing some attachment or feelings for Paro...albeit without acknowledging to himself...when he explicitly says he hates her and she is a witness for him nd someone who stands between him and his most prized possession...the BSD rank...then why is it wrong or unacceptable that Laila developed feelings for Rudra who she was intimate with for 8 long years and who definitely treated her as some sort of confidant whenever he wanted?
Rudra and Paro haven't even spoken politely to each other nd yet there is a stirring of something in him for her...the same guy who didn't want commitment...didn't believe in feelings...and hated women!
So the same thing happened to Laila...she has feelings...yes he said he won't commit...she accepted...but didn't pine in secret...she made it clear that she still has feelings that she hoped he would return! And then out of the blue she sees him getting married and the village praising his and Paros love!
The same girl who he said he hates!

Why are her feelings belittled and why is it glorifying a vamp ? If it's not profession and not the fact she slept with him then why...are his feelings also wrong,...I mean his eventual feelings for Paro..he said he won't fall in love,...so how can he right!

Rudra saying don't fall in love is not a binding factor for Laila s feelings and even Rudra didn't brush h aside but tried to explain!

Yes...the big wedding is a flaw totally...and only because of Rudra's need to put one over Mohini!Anf how could he not guard the upstairs room where Paro was ??

Arrey vamp as in a negative female character and that's precisely the role the cvs have in mind for her (as of now)
😆
About her being angry...or sad or heart broken..she can be all of that, after all its her life, her choice and she is paying for her choices. About how one should get angry...in a way that is not harmful to others (that is the prescribed human expectation 😆) Is it unfair...no!! Any injustice done...no!! Any promises broken...no again!! And if we are talking about dues...than why only Lailas...why not Rudra...there were two involved in this relationship...so each should get their dues..right?? Rudra also deserves his dues in the form of love, he has not done any wrong here, so why the punishment??
And of course that's the sole purpose of Laila...to add one more angle to this more than I can handle angular shape!!😃

@ttt1...no I don't hate her. In fact I feel for her, but I feel for Rudra too and other characters too. I don't hate her..I understand where she is coming from..but what I hate is the sympathy and empathy wave a woman can create irrespective of justice. And in Rudra's defense he did try to explain to her...but there was no talking to her !!
