But that was for suspense and intrigue!! But they showed what really happened in the show!! 😊
Heck, even the third promo gave a better hint on what they show is about !! 😊

Being an international viewer, I sadly do not contribute to the TRPs but yet would like to add my two cents to this very interesting topic.

What TM aka Sush is trying to say does make sense. The product (Storyline/concept/cast) is excellent, but the packaging (Promos aka marketing tools) might not have turned out to be right. We have now seen the TRP results.

It's always the packaging that attracts a buyer/viewer to a product/show. The promos have been negative ones like the gun to the heroine's head and the hands tied up which plays between scenes. Public seeks positivity in their entertainment at the end of the day.

No doubt the rest of the promos did play out the actual story and the makers do not need to change anything in terms of storyline or concept. Apart from maybe dialect of the main leads to keep it to simple Hindi.

One suggestion to the makers- more so with all the recent happenings in cities today, the scene that is already played out - where Rudra saves Paro from the goons in the desert (after toning down the dishum dishum) would work as a perfect promo...or between shots...because even if he is an anti-hero the goodness of the man is being sold to the aam aadmi as a Saviour. Or even a promo on Rudra's patrotic dialogues and his flag hoisting would also work.

Let's take the show that is our biggest competitor. There has been loads of violence and even abuse of an elderly woman, yet the aam aadmi has lapped it up. But yet none of the promos showed that aspect of the show's content. Every show has its own measure of violence and abuse, more so even the mythological or historical ones. But people stay hooked to these shows despite everything because they know there is light at the end of the dark tunnel!

The makers need to sell that HOPE! Promote the good/positive side of the Hero/story, what he/it stands for! We never know it might just bring in the right results.

Some of the most high-end perfumes, clothing brands are sold in even more stylish and fancy bottles & stores or Malls! Now why do you think that happens?

Am I making sense here. Please do comment. And I so wish the makers do read this!

hugs

EXACTLY!!! Couldn't agree with you more!

The promos repelled me from watching it...It is only by chance that I watched it...because so many people on IF sent me messages to try it...

The packaging and positioning are so important! The people who are watching it know what's inside the package is good...and are so excited about ...but promos should compel people who are not watching it...and make them WANT to watch it...

^^ you guys may be onto something. For nearly three weeks now we've had nothing but the female lead, a young village girl going through hell...and quite frankly there's no hope in sight anytime soon.. There are hardly lighter moments...it's all very intense stuff and that could be putting people off.

I'm not a TRP audience so I don't really hv a clue as to how this works in reality apart from what I've read here on IF. But as a viewer, I do hope the ratings pick up soon without them having to deviate too much from the original story or make huge compromises that eventually undermines the concept in any way. I would love to see the makers develop this as they envisioned it at the start.

But from what I've read, the numbers for all the fiction shows on colors including MB which is one of the popular shows rite? are low. So may be there is a bigger issue.

Colors needs to draw the viewers out of their comfort shows, and lure them towards RR. For that they need to try the honey-coated bait!😉.

@ spirit agree...yeah the show is intense...the light moments will surely happen and the family politics will also come into play...all the PH & Channel needs to do is now market their fabulous product/show with some positive promos!

Yes, so true. Everyone who is watching the show know that its good. The producers don't have to change the original storyline, but change the marketing strategy, just show +ve promos to grab more eye balls. Bas

I hope the producers are reading this, or have thought about this on their own...and are going to change he packaging and marketing message very soon...Once something is branded a certain way...it is difficult to change the mind set...
The change in messaging should happen ASAP!
