Rudra enters with paro in his arms at his ancestral house in a wedding attire with mangalsutra in her hand is definitely symbolic for their future relation .

I agree... talented actors also need good breaks to shine...

rudra is too hot to handle, thanks to ashish's wonderful interpretation of this character.

And ...come to think of it...I had never thought I would like some one with a mooch like that...and the accent...but all prejudices are gone...even though I kind of wish...the accent is toned down a bit...

Nice to see you on the RR forum. I used to read your posts on the IPKKND forum.
Seems like a lot of us have migrated here from that forum.
Good post. Hope the show continues to inspire you to write more.

Awesome post !

You know Sush I was waiting to see who would be cast opposite Sanaya for this show...when I found out it was Ashish Sharma ..I was ecstatic...because I had seen him in bits and pieces in Rab Se Sona Ishq and he stole the show there..he is a fabulous actor!
Kudos to the casting director for choosing not only them but the other actors/ actresses..because so far all of them are very good..and it elevates the show to a different level.

You are right ...With the leads as eye candies, who needs anyone else😉 But seriously, the story is also strong so that should help..apparently the first 200 episodes have been penned already..a lot of secrets and mysteries to be unraveled in the coming episodes...they have made us addicts again...lol

Interesting take Sush - I love the Rajasthani accent on him and others using it - it lends the show an air of credibility that (I feel) is necessary. In fact, I find it jarring to the ears when a couple of the actors fall into clear Hindi. It helps that we get the show with subtitles.

Of course...I say we don't need a story in jest...but we do need a story to create situations...in many ways I think the Indian soaps are situational comedies or sitcoms...but really more on the romantic side than comic...

But sometimes they let the message and the story get in the way of characters...and mess it up...I have seen it happen one too many times...although I can count the number of Indian soaps I have watched on my fingertips ...so certainly not an authority...

I like the situation they have created in RR...an army officer, and a (hostile) witness, who is more hostile than witness...😆 The love hate story that will develop and the situations that could be created...

Now that I say it...I feel like I am being a snob...perhaps I am totally wrong about this...

OK...About the TRP...

My mom in India loves it...and she is a TRP auntie for sure...😆
My sis in India refuses to watch it...because she has Tweens at home ...who she thinks it is not appropriate for...based on what she has heard...and I myself did not encourage her to watch it with kids, specially when they showed the Laila angle...

I think the promos is where they messed up...Indian audience is a sucker for love stories not for heroes pulling a gun on a helpless female bride...That was a totally wrong shot for the promo...

Then, the first 2-3 weeks the story had lot of testosterone but not much tenderness...I would say again...people in India want feel good dramas they can watch with family...

I personally don't care about TRPs...but all creators want appreciation of their work ...and like it or not..TRP is a measure of that...

So, the solution is to air promos that are more on the love story and the stylish Major Rudra and less on the violence...and nachnewalis ...If I were the producer...I will change the advertisement firm they have hired...not necessarily change the story...

Naah! Ashish is awesome, but so are Sanaya, Tarun and even Aman. That is what is making the show a good watch. Mohini chachi is showing promise too.

I prefer the much more officerish tone he takes when he talks to Aman.

And
Thank you for following my posts Priyanka! 😃

Sush (hope I can call you that) Ashish is from Jaipur, so he is familiar with the Rajasthani dialect hence the ease. Though I do think the creatives have toned down the dialect from the initial weeks.
