and then the jeep reaches the village ... and he gives her the paper to sign.

Thanks😳

I think there should be a psychological examination for officers in the armed forces ... if those with emotional baggage can make such weird decisions!

But have to say, the scenes with the officers are well done ... all the actors are good ... Rudra, Aman and the CO ... their bearing, their way of talking, that certain stiffness in their posture when they are at attention ...

If Rudra doesn't trust Paro, she sure as heck doesn't trust him either. I loved the little flashes of defiance in Paro today ... the little kitten is unsheathing her claws. But for the main part ... it was desolation ... complete and utter desolation 😭

Thakursa is such a serpent!!! And he's damn handsome with it ... so suave, smooth talking ... what a battle its going to be ...
I'm still wondering about the thakurian ... she was not out with the villagers in the last scene ... why?

Thanks for explaining di.. I forget his obsession with hating beautiful women.. I wonder how he passed the psych exam at all.. Just the word maa sends him into fits of flashbacks..

I really like the CO, after Parud he is my favourite, stole the spot from Thakur sa.. I just love his dialogues.. Wonder what will happen if people speak like that in real life.. But you are right about the body language, even the sipahis walking about have been trained perfect..

@ red- Waiting for that !! There is some point when a person just cant take it anymore and Paro has crossed it long back..

Loved you take.. The part in bold-well written.

But I do think they need to lighten things a little bit..

The hero who loses his mind in anger- dint see that angle.. That worries me.. MU will go on and on at this rate😲

Fabulous post Diya. Sanaya was excellent as the frightened yet rebellious Paro. I liked how she still kept her dignity in front of her tormentor despite his harsh language and gestures. She refuse to be baited to believe him. He's killed her husband before her eyes and that's all she sees. For her, he is the epitome of evil that has ruined her life and ready to ruin more. It was heartbreaking to see Paro hold onto her mangalstura and touch her sindoor as she realizes that she is no longer a married woman. Her right as a wife was snatched away even before she realized it. She cries over her lost husband, dreams and future. I didn't like how Rudra handled her but to him, she is no different than a terrorist. He'll have to force her to confess Tewajat's involvement no matter what. Be it with aggressive or negotiation to get back with her family. It was sad to see Mamisa renounce Paro as she refuses to recognize her. The poor girl always went to her whenever she was down or needed help and yet her mami is not there for her when needed the most. Some part of me thinks that Mamisa and Birpur has no say if in the future PaRud unite as a couple as they have already disowned their girl by denying her existence.

TM, really well said. It was so complex today -- the colliding emotions and all those layers of pain - age-old and fresh -- washing over both of them again -- alongside those unfamiliar, unforeseen, and incompletely understood stirrings triggering all kinds of stuff .. a really complicated and well put together epi today. So well acted by both the leads and that wily thakur.

in bold, perfectly said. A theme that I'm certain we'll see more of

.. His absolute attitude that she must be a traitor, that no one like her is ever innocent was such a beautiful and raw contrast to Paro's quiet but firm 'you killed my husband and I owe you nothing' stance.

What I loved ... the little flashes of defiance in Paro today ... when Rudra was forcing her to speak, stammering with sheer fear, all she said was - 'you killed my husband' ... no begging, no pleas for release ... just that one sentence that defeated him ...
And the one upmanship that followed ...
When he told her to follow him if she wanted her freedom, she did not follow instantly ... she waited till he almost shut the door, as though gauging his intentions before deciding to follow ... he in turn, almost shut the door on her ...
When he opened the door for her to sit in front, she went to the back instead ... he was her husband's killer, she would not sit with him ... he, in turn, started the jeep even before she was properly settled ...
Her instant refusal to sign any papers in return for her freedom.

Today was Sanaya's day again ... she made me weep ... sheer and utter desolation, shattered dreams, and in the end, the shocked disbelief as she heard Mamisa's words disowning her ...
And in the midst of it all, the flashes of defiance ...

Rudra-sa doesn't know what he's taken on in this seemingly meek, mild demure girl ... 😛

Ahh! Beautiful, beautiful post. 👏
@bold: How true! When her eyes were downcast, she stuttered: "Mujhe bakhsh do..." But when he forced her to look at him, he couldn't really meet her eyes.
And she's going to fight him all the way. He's really going to have his hands full. Tongue

Diya just superb.🤗
I liked certain parts.
Aman has more sense than Mr R.
Love his boss and he seems to keep him on track some how but at the same time he likes this Mr R a lot too despite the fact he always gives him trouble.
Fav scene , she slapped his face by calling him murderer..."mar dala" superb .She is a tigress in this kitten body.
If he doesn't trust her , she gives no hoot either to him and that was shown flawlessly when she jerks him while he drags her to take out .

Last scene she refused her freedom over a lie...hmmm
that will be a plus point for later.WHat happened to precap?

Dia, these days I can't find anything to add to your takes as you've cover everything and so beautifully.
The only other thing I noticed is ThakurainSa's grief, Sadia was awesome today. She was controlled because of her position in the village but you could see the real grief on her face. In fact she seemed more grief stricken than MamiSa in the haveli scene.I really want to know why she cares so much for Paro and what the back story is between her and Paro's mom and the promise that Thakurain made to Paro's mom.

A very good episode today. Finally we have the intense, edgy saga starting that we were promised.
Sanaya and Ashish were brilliant. My heart went put to Paro today when Mamisa refused to regonise her. Loved Sanaya's expressions there. Whatever little hope she was holding onto was also completely shattered.
I hope this helps Paro to become a stronger women now, as she has nothing more to lose anymore.

Lovely take btw!
