Part 103

Aayush was shocked to his wits at the same time happy! Hugs are most welcomed, khushboo crushes Aayush, followed by Akshay, sunil, madhvi, dadi, Shaan and last is Khanak. Cake time! Its Aayush's new favorite, chocolate fantasy! Khanak had never tried pastries, but she just did this time, crossing her fingers, hoping he would like, after that kiss in the kitchen, she had literally pulled herself from that floating path, Shaan had groaned in disapproval manner, but later on helped her in making..

Aayush cuts the cake with a huge smile on his face, birthday song is sang by the whole family, GIFTS time!!

Sunil asks harilal to get something, and there it is, his new cycle! Aayush is very much excited..

Aayush: dada thank you so much! (hugs Sunil, madhvi and dadi ruffles his hair)

Sunil: its all yours now!

Aayush: papa aap mujhe cycle chalana sikhaoge, and I don't want any excuses!

Shaan: ofcourse! (smiles)

Akshay and Khushboo, hands him the new video game, Aayush is jumping in joy!!

Shaan's turn..

Aayush: papa, where's my gift.(stands in front of him, Shaan kneels down..)

Shaan: hmm..what do you want?? I mean I do have a gift, but upon that you can ask for anything..(smiles)

Aayush: oh really?? First tell me, what you've got for me..

Shaan: hmm, I've enrolled you to the basketball training!

Aayush: wow! That's awesome! (hugs him, Shaan hugs him back)

Aayush: but what about art classes?? (confused)

Shaan: don't worry, I won't stress you, you have to just go for two days, if you don't want to then..

Aayush: I want to go papa!! Thank you so much! (hugs him again, Shaan smiles)

Shaan: Now! Its your mom time, and your mom tells that she has got a best gift than mine, I want to see now..(teases her, as she earlier that day had challenged him telling that her gift will be the best! Her twinking eyes, her bright smile, that glow..had made him smile broader that day)

Khanak smiles a half smile, but she looked serious, her eyes were filled? She was biting her lower lip..Shaan's expression changed..

Khushboo: Khanak give it na..

Khanak handed a gift to Aayush, still smiling, it was covered with red glossy cover, Aayush grabbed it quickly and removed it, and he just stared at his gift, Shaan didn't have any words for her gift..

Khanak kneeled in front of Aayush, it was a photoframe of Aayush's parents..

Khanak: yes Aayush! Its your mom and dad! I know that you've grown up, and you love me and Shaan just like your mom and dad, but I want you to know that your mom and dad were the first for you, and they loved you immensely, I still remember bhabhi waking up all the night just for your sake, and my brother carrying you on his back, just to earn your smile and that cute little gurgling sound of joy..(she smiles)

Aayush: mom..(he stares at her, his eyes filling up)

Khanak: wait..im not done yet! I've got a video..(she gets up slowly, Shaan smiles warmly at Aayush)

Shaan: Aayush..don't you think so that your dad's eyes and Khanak eyes are very much similar?! (looking at the photo in his hand) isn't that right dad??

The photo gets circulated with the whole family, it's a picture of his mom and dad smiling..

Shaan: And this will be over here (places it on his writing table) just beside you! Telling that they are with you at each and every possible minute! (Smiles) Ofcourse im here! And I promise to never leave your side as a father! You can count me in for anything! You know that right?! (hugs him)

Akshay: you can count on me also Aayush! Im ready to punch any other guy you see..(jokes)

This makes everyone burst into laughter, Aayush laughs with tears..

They all are seated in front of home theatre, Aayush in front, just behind him Shaan and Aayush, Akshay and Khushboo next to Aayush, Sunil and Madhvi on the either sides of Akshay and Khushboo, Dadi just next to Aayush..

Khanak: ok lets start..(she plays the video)

Khanak pops up in front of a camera, 'Hey! Im waiting tyke, make it fast, you know what actually I love you the most than you dad! (winks)', Aayush's dad appears in front, 'Hold it! Champ you're my son and daddy loves you the most! (pushes Khanak) Khanak butts in again, 'No! its me!', she her and brother starts arguing..Khanak's dad appears in between them, 'Guys knock it off! See he is here..(shows towards his daughter in law, who is carrying Aayush, who was just 3 days old, Khanak and her brother moves toward the baby) And the grand dad loves you the most!' (makes a thumbs up) (The camera is focused on the baby Aayush, he was just so small, only a small amount of hair, the fairest, the most cutest!!)

And next part was about naming, Aayush's dad 'Its Aayush its fixed!', his wife agrees with him, Khanak appears to be still thinking..'Kandy its done! Aayush is really good! And I think it suits him' (they could just hear the voice and everyone knows the voice, it was Dhruv) Khanak is still thinking, Her brother glares at her! 'OK fine! Its Aayush then!' Her mom appears, carries the baby in her arms, its Khanak's time, Khanak wants to hold the baby in her arms, at first scared thinking that she'll harm him, her brother had to coax her, she finally held Aayush in her arms, that delightful smile creeping on her face..

And next one was after 5 or 6 months, when he had started to roll on the bed all by himself, his mother smiling and just seeing him, this time it was Khanak who was taking the video.

And next one after 8 or 9 months after his birth, trying to sit up on his own, making all the struggling movements to just sit up! And then him crawling, slowly but he didn't do that much..

His first birthday! He kept on crying through the function, he was cajoled by everyone, but he loved his fathers shoulder very much, when Aayush was in his father arms, Aayush never cried! And then after a month or two from the function, he started to stand up on his own and started to try to walk on his own!

The video had lots of stuff, Aayush's mom trying to feed him, his father coming from office and throwing him in the air to just catch him protectively, only purpose was to just hear his gurgling sound of joy! Aayush keeping tiny tiny steps with his grand mom and grand dad, they kept on helding his hand, he as any other kid, wanted to just go by him! There are videos of him crying, smiling, walking, running..

At the end his mom and dad telling..'We love you Aayush' The same sentence repeated by Khanak's mom and dad! Khanak's turn, 'I…I…' 'She loves you Aayush!' Her brother butts in! She laughs with her brother hugging her..That was it the end of the video..

After watching it all, Aayush is smiling and no tears, he just walks upto his mom and hugs her tightly..

Khanak: I love you!

Aayush: I love you a lot mom! (finding the same warmth as his real mother in her arms, all he could see was the smiling face of his mom and dad)

And the next following morning, guests trickled down, Nisha's parents and ofcourse herself was there in Khandelwal's house, Aayush had gotten a chance to not attend his school, the house is filled, now lets move to our couple's room..

Shaan: Khanak I can't find it..

Khanak: uff! (getting up from the couch) Shaan! you were never like this right?! (searches in his cupboard, for the shirt he is asking for)

Shaan: (wrapping his arms around her) I know! See how you've made me dependant on you! (teases)

Khanak: is it good or bad?? (leaning back on him, closing her eyes)

Shaan: hmm..ofcourse its good! (tuens toward him) Are you missing your parents very badly? You know..Khushboo baby is going to her dad's for her..(Khanak keeps a finger on his mouth indicating him to stop)

Khanak: No Shaan! I mean yes, I do miss them but im not upset..i;ve grown into it, I know girls at this time have their fervent wish of staying with their mom's..I do have too, and even I have mom on whom I can rely upon, and who cares about me as though im her own daughter..so its fine! Its good!

Shaan smiles, she leans on his chest and envelops her in his arms..

Shaan: So, are you going to miss me?? (his hands caressing her back)

Khanak: why will I miss you??

Shaan: your not coming into work till the wedding (looks at her face) I will miss you!

Khanak smiles..

Shaan: arrey..

Interrupted!!

Raj: sorry guys! I just wanted to know, where's Nisha?? (Khanak and Shaan move out of the hug)

Khanak: (setting up for the mood) Why do you want to meet her??

Shaan: haan Raj! If you want to tell something, you can say it to us, Khanak will say it to Nisha! (starts looking for his shirt, finds another one and wears it, Khanak in the meanwhile tidies up the room)

Raj: funny! Khanak bol na..? (wines)

Khanak (shakes her head): Tit for tat! (evil smile)

Raj: kya? Oh please ha! You people just met each other even without my knowledge! (sulking) Khanak please..

Khanak: Raj don't cry! (giving it up) She's there in Aayush's room I guess..

Raj: ok thanks! (he's out of her sight)

Khanak: Did I see Raj getting impatient to meet a girl?! (chuckles, Shaan joins her)

There's a lot of cacophony in the house, the house is being decorated for the sangeet the same evening with Aayush's birthday!

Misha enters too, Khanak is too happy to see her friend after so long! They hug, Misha compliments for Khanak's glowing part and slight bump seen..Nisha comes to ask Khanak about a something..

Khanak intros Misha and Nisha..

Nisha: oh! So you are the Mish! (remembering the first meeting of her and Raj)

Misha: yaa..Iam! Sorry I didn't get you..(confused)

Nisha: Sorry! Raj had mentioned your name once and I had thought he was just kidding..(rants)

Misha: once?? How can that be possible? Where is he? (mock anger)

Raj comes to the place, a side hug is shared by them, Nisha is pissed for some reason, but she schools her face..

Misha: hey! Shaadi kar rahe ho, iska matlab yeh nahi ki tum apni ex ko bhuljao.

Raj: Kisne kaha? How can I even forget you?

Nisha: ex?? (turns to Raj) you never told that you have an ex..

Raj: ah that..abb bata raha hun na..(winks playfully)

Misha smiles, Khanak is long gone from there, Raj and Misha as usually they are pulling each other's leg, Nisha is irritated to see him at this ease with another girl, ofcourse he's at this ease with Khanak also, but that's Khanak and this is ex! She just moves away from there..
