Shaan: What are you talking Khanak??

Khanak: kyun?? You don't know?? (looking back at Anjali and Aman, with confusing look)

Aman: Shaan, Khanak is the new entry in the group (smiles)

Shaan is stunned, looks at Khanak, Khanak smiles and shrugs..He's happy that she'll be with him for more time at the same time worries for her too..

Shaan: Lekin Khanak..

Khanak: Shaan im all fine..if you want you can ask Anjali..actually Anjali only suggested this when I met her yesterday..

Shaan looks at Anjali, she's smiling..Shaan can't believe it was the same lady who was hell bent on bringing the fight between him and Khanak..Khanak seems to be happy with the idea..but Shaan is not sure..

Aman: so Khanak..how's your schedule??

Khanak: hmm..im free after 1..(smiles)

Aman: ok then..(stopped by)

Shaan: no Khanak!

Khanak: (sighs! She knew this was not easy as she thought) Aman..do you mind, can we have a minute? I mean me and Shaan?? (looking at Aman and Anjali, Kiya actually didn't wanted Khanak there, Kiya's sole reason to come back to India was to join the trial and to meet Shaan evey other chance she got..)

Aman: sure..(Aman leaves, Anjali follows, looks at Kiya, Kiya is standing at the same place while Shaan and Khanak are gazing at each other..Anjali holds Kiya's hands and drag her out)

Khanak makes him to sit on one of the chair, she kneels down in front of him, holds his hand in her hands..

Khanak: Shaan im all fine, trust me..this trial wouldn't harm me..i'll be carefull and I'll do whatever you want me to do..you were the one who wanted me to move forward in my career right??

Shaan: Khanak..this will be very much stressing…you know (stopped by)

Khanak: I know Shaan..i want to give a try and take a chance..(softer) who knows..joh tum log nahi kar paaye who shayad main kar dun! (shrugs and smiles cheekily)

Shaan: (slowly smiles) but you will not be attending any surgeries..

Khanak: aise kaise? (makes a sad face) atleast for an hour?? (makes that puppy cute face)

Shaan: you were right! You are adamant! (smacks on her head, stands up, at the same making her also stand up)

Khanak: who toh main hun! (shrugs, he smiles and hugs her)

Shaan: promise me..agar koi problem hua toh you'll tell me!

Khanak: I promise! (moving out of the hug, smiles, he puts her errant lock at the back of her ear)

Khanak: Shaan..agar tum bhul gaye ho toh, main yaad diladu? You have to go to another hospital..

Shaan twitches his lips..

Shaan: ha toh ek kaam karthe hain..kyun na hum..chutti le le??

Khanak: chutti?? Kis liye?? (knowing his intentions very clearly)

Shaan: kyun tum nahi jaanthi?? (pulls her closer by her waiste)

Khanak: (smiles sweetly) jaanthi hu na..

He smiles mischievously..

Khanak: that you have to return back to your duty and I have to go back for the class! (pushes him)

Shaan: Class?

Khanak: 4^th term students..i have to teach them today..

Shaan: ok..then, meet you in the evening..bhulna mat madam, raat ko meri paas hi aana hain (winks at her)

She blushes, turns away and walks out of the room, Shaan smiles looking at her back..

The day went fine, well not that good for Khanak..

Khanak had finished her class, finishing her work..at that moment..

Khanak: oh! Hi Kiya..(continues to do her work)

Khanak never thought about Kiya as adversary..Kiya never mattered for her..Khanak was never insecure about Kiya..Khanak exactly knew what Shaan thought about her, that was clear, Kiya would never be a part of their life..she didn't exist at all..

Kiya: I wanted to talk..

Khanak: ya..go on..(still looking at the files)

Khanak phone rings at that time, Khanak beams looking at the caller..

Kiya: Khanak its about the trial! (noticing Khanak's attention fluttering)

After hearing the trial word, Khanak lets the call go to voice mail, and focuses her attention towards Kiya..

Khanak: yeah..go ahead..

Kiya goes on and loads her with work, and tells Khanak to prepare a presentation for tomorrow, Khanak was startled, presentation tomorrow?? Is she out of her mind?? Khanak thinks..

Khanak: Are you sure that it should be done by tomorrow itself?? (not believing)

Kiya: if you don't believe me you can ask Dr.Aman!

At that moment, Aman walks in, Khanak sighs..

Khanak: Aman, is the presentation to be done tomorrow itself??

Aman: ha Khanak..(busy with his file) I have to go Khanak, there's a surgery lined up (he nods and walks away from there, Khanak is left wondering)

Kiya: kya hua Khanak?? Agar tumhe problem hain toh no problem, main kar sakthi hun..

Seriously?? When did Khanak started to give up?? Sheesh! Shaan was right Kiya is irritating! Khanak thought…

Khanak: So kind of you Kiya..But no thanks!

Khanak just walks away from there, while Kiya looked on with a smug smile..

When Shaan came back home it was again a late hour, went directly to their room, but she was not there, he freshens up and walks into Aayush's room..

Khanak is sitting in front of Aayush her her right hand cupping her cheek and staring into screen of laptop, at the same time..

Khanak: Aayush?? Ho gaya kya??

Aayush: ha mom..(writing down some notes) bus do minute..

Khanak: itna time kyun lag raha hain?? When will you sleep?? (sounds irritated)

Aayush continues to do his work, Khanak focuses on her work for about 5 mins and that was it..

Khanak: That's it! (gets up from her place, snatches his book from him)

Aayush: mom! (shrieks)

Shaan chooses that time to chip in..

Shaan: Khanak, kya kar rahi ho??

Khanak looks questioningly at him..

Khanak: What?? Have you seen the time? He must be in bed now! (orders, paks up his books into his bag)

Aayush: uff! (shakes his head)

Khanak: abb utho! (Khanak drags him to the bed)

Aayush: fine! Main jaa raha hun sone! Good night papa! (while walking to the bed)

Shaan chuckles seeing them..

Shaan: good night! (waves at him)

Khanak makes him sleep, kisses good night on his forehead and switches off the light..

Shaan and Khanak walked back to their room, both looked exhausted, she had her head leaned on his shoulder and his head on hers..

Somewhere during midnight, Khanak had the small table lamp on, her presentation was still not complete, it's her first and she knew that she can't take easy on it, she just wanted everything perfect..

She knew she was stressing herself very much and this would turn her health upside down, but she calmed herself, everything would be fine..She just can't give up and it was about Shaan too..He was already carrying a baggage of load on his back, she wanted to ease his weight may be her research would help him..may be..there was always a chance..Keeping her spirits up, she worked silently..

After about an hour and a two, she felt it was complete to a certain extent, went through the slides again, confirming herself that she had not missed any thing..at some point, she felt Shaan moving she looked at him, he was stretching his hand on bed, may be trying to find her..Khanak twitched her lips, quickly shutted her system off..

On the other side, Shaan was feeling empty at his side, where was she?? And suddenly she was there..her hand held his and she was there with him!

Shaan: hmm..kahan thi?? (his eyes closed)

Khanak: main toh yahi hun! (her head resting on his chest)

Shaan: hmm..(he drifted back to his sleep, hugging her to his chest)

Khanak too slowly drifted off, her physical and mental stress plus his warmth made her lull into sleep..

Shaan had got up early, Khanak was still asleep, he let her sleep, he knew from today onwards her working hours would be extended, she won't be able to take as much rest as she used to..But, he was sure that, he'll take extra care that she would just sit and do work..

He turned to her, she was sleeping in a cuddled form, disturbed by the sun rays but still doesn't want to open her eyes..Finally makes up her mind and sits up, still eyes closed..

Shaan: Khanak..its ok..aaj chutti le lo, aur so jao..(pampers her)

Khanak: no! (makes a crying face) its my first day and..

By the time she completes her sentence, Aayush enters all ready for his day..

Aayush: Good morning papa (smiles hugely) Good morning mom! Or should I say good night! (seeing her sleepy state, chuckles, getting bolder day by day)

Khanak: (her eyes shot open to only narrow her eyes at Aayush) Thank you for making my day! (sarcastic as she gets up and strolls to wash up)

Shaan: Not bad champ! (does a HI 5 with him)

Khanak: I heard that..(shouts from inside)

Aayush smiles..Shaan smiles too..Her day would only be brighten by these two, her stress would go down the hill, her one and only medication was their smile..She would do hundred stupid things just to make them smile..She was way too dependent on them than they were on her..

Shaan is as usual apprehensive of Khanak taking more respobsibility..He were well knew how stressful is the trial as he is going through it already..Given Khanak is pregnant its natural of him to concern for her!!!

But she made him understanding and succeeded in getting acceptance from him!!!😊

This Kiya is still harbouring love for Shaan..😡 Does Anjali have any cool???😕 Though Khanak don't mind about Kiya but Kiya's intentions are wrong..She started to give all work load to Khanak..😡 Aman didn't listen to Khanak's question properly as he was preoccupied..

Awww..Aayush is so cute..She didn't say anything about the presentation to him..

How cutely Aayush teases his mom!!!😆
