Part 64

Shaan had convinced her to take mock tests and he had talked to Lata, to organize these tests. Initially, Lata was not good with the idea, but later she had agreed.

It was decided they'll be given 3 mock tests, it would start from the following Monday….

For now, it's a cool Sunday…

He's woken by the warm sunrays peeping into their room, he opens his eys to find her closer to him, still sleeping, and he remembers their last night encounter…..

He cuddles her more to himself, he just want to cherish her, do all the pampering, a guy could have never done, everyday he sees her, he feels enthusiastic, and a wish to love her more…

He lets her do things for the whole day, laughs at her tantrums, teases her to the most, he had never expected in his life that he'll find someone like her…

Literally, he didn't have any idea of marriage nor to love someone like her…He for some reason, finds himself blessed to have found her…

She twirls in sleep, he moves back to not to disturb her, now her back is facing him, while turning, she had got hold of his hand, she hugs his hand it to herself…She's less expressive than him, it doesn't bother him…He's happy and contented in his life!!

Khanak: Shaan!! (sleep drugged voice)

He's startled, till now he thought she was sleeping, that's the connection they are sharing, without knowing they would connect to each other…

She turned around to look at him, her hands in between them, his arms are wrapped around her…They just stared at each other..none of them start the conversation, room is silent…

She feels like as though she's abducted under his intense gaze, she lies on her back, he smiles slowly…He slowly overpowers her, now he's on top of her, she ruffles his hair more, looks admiringly at him, she outlines his eyes slowly, so that she shouldn't hurt him in an of the ways…

Her first thing to do, when she gets up in the morning, is to thank her god, her fortune..to have him in her life!!

He moves down on her, she's busy exploring his face once again, even she doesn't know how many times she would have done that…

She's disturbed by his hands, his hands interlinks with hers, takes her hands with his above her head, looks down at her, she looks back up to him…He kisses her slowly, gently, it turned into a gentle smooch, both of them enjoying their intimacy…

Sometime later, they are just lieing on the bed; he doesn't want to remind her about her exams..she's already silent, not talking, not teasing him….

Shaan: Khanak!! What have you thought about having our child???!! (she's tensed, she doesn't know what to tell him, if she tells him that she's not ready to get pregnant, he would surely understand, but…)

Khanak: umm….kya hum iss ke bare main, baad mein baat karsakthe hain?! (softly, not sure what it will lead their life into)

She very well knows that, this is for the first time, he's asking something from her…But its too big for her right now!! She feels like as though she has disappointed him to core, by answering this way…Though she's a brat, but really a sensitive one…

Shaan knows that this is not the right time to talk about this, for no reason this question had slipped out of his mouth…As he can't remember her agreeing for this…

They were disturbed bya phone call, it was Samar!!!

Samar had called Shaan, to speak about the entrance Exam for URMC, in America, for his fellowship..Shaan had gotten up from the bed, Khanak just lied their for some more time, thinking what her life would lead her into…She's in a great dilemma, fumbling with her steps..as a wife, as a daughter, as a doctor...and even may be as a mother to Aayush…

After about 15 minutes or so, she gets uup and walks into the bathroom, he do notices that, but his talk with Samar is important for his career…

After an hour or so, both are showered, he's on the phone, enquiring more about his entrance exam, she's also in the room, going through her papers, Shaan's notes…Aayush is playing with his PSP, lieing on her lap…Sunil, Madhvi and dadi have gone out to meet some of their relatives…Akshay and Khushboo have gone out and all of them would be returning at late night…

Now its just the three of them!!

Shaan ends the call, he's wearing a cargo and a purple Lacoste tee; looks at Khanak, he's not sure how he's supposed to calm her nerves down, as on cue…

Aayush: Mom!!! Mujhe bore ho rahi hain!!! (wines)

Khanak: hmmm…(buried inside notes)

Aayush: Mom!! (gets up from her lap, faces her) chalo kuch karte hain…(thinks)

Khanak: (turns towards Aayush, smiles sweetly) Aayush, please kal se mera mock test hain, I've to be prepared na..Please aaj aap apne video games ke saath khel lo…

Aayush makes a sad face and looks at Shaan, Shaan nods at him, as though he's telling, 'don't worry I'll do something'..Aayush waits…

Shaan: Khanak, you can take a break, its Sunday… (casual)

Khanak: (looks up at him) (smiles) aur kal Monday hain!! Mera mock test hain, aur voh bhi aapne hi organize ki hain…

Shaan: correction please…maine nahi, aapki close friend ne kaha tha, yeh sab karne ko…(sarcastic tone)

Aayush: Mom!! Sirf mock test ho toh hain (shrugs) main exam todi na hain?!

Khanak: haan toh, I have to excel in everything, toh voh mock test kyun na ho!!! (fierce)

Aayush: Mom…Papa, aapne mujhe aaj promise kiya tha, ki aap mujhe basket ball sikhainge..(suddenly, now even Shaan remembers too, both of them smile to each other, Khanak is glad that, now she'll be left alone, but..)

The living hall, is transformed into an empty hall, servants were helpful in pushing all the sofas aside, making a clear area, so that our basketball champions could play easily without bumping into anything….

Khanak is made to sit on the chair, she's disinterested, she likes to be a player not a spectator, but for now she's not in the mood to either play or watch…

Basket is fixed, Shaan not to overload Aayush's brain, talks about the points, and the various positions like center, power forward, shooting guard, etc…

Shaan first teaches him about dribbling…if there's no dribbling then there's no basket ball game, Aayush gets it, at first he fails, Shaan allows him to try once again, Shaan looks over at Khanak, she's wearing a camisole and her shorts, she has a bored look, if a couch was given instead of chair, she would have slept soundlessly…Shaan thinks now is the time to bring her back to herself…

Shaan signals Aayush, as if telling to involve her in the game…Aayush smiled and winked…Shaan smiled too..

Aayush: Mom, aapne Basketball khela hai kya?? Kabhi bhi?? (a bit louder)

Khanak: haan!! Khela hain!! (disinterested)

Aayush: phir bhi aap, papa se achche nahi khel paate hain….(now, she's all ears, Shaan grins)

Khanak: aisa kyun?? (she's up from her place)

Aayush: Mom!! Aapki height dekho aur papa ki dekho…(Shaan is all smiling, she's exasperated)

Khanak: u can't judge with the height!!! (Shaan comes near her, stands next to her)

Shaan: waise Khanak, Aayush teek hi keh raha hain…agar meri aur tumhari beech match ho jaye na, toh I can gurantee that I can easily win…

Underestimation, this judgement, irritates her a lot, how can you judge like someone like that, its just enough to bring back her enthusiasm in her…

Khanak: (gets the ball from Aayush) we'll see Mr.Khandelwal!!! (smiles sweetly)

Shaan is charged, winks at Aayush!!!

Shaan: we'll see too, Mrs. Khandelwal!!!

Aayush: then im the refree!!! (brings out the whistle out of his pocket)

They get ready for the match…they go for real dribbling, Shaantakes over the ball and shoots into the basket and gets two points…Aayush claps for Shaan!! Khanak just watches Shaan, his self being had been alerted, he's smiling, it seems like as though he has completely forgotten about their uncompleted conversation at their room…She just stands there…

Shaan: Kya hua Khanak?? Abhi se haar maan gayi??!! (in her ears, from behind her)

Khanak is back, suddenly on a thought, she gets an idea…for the real dribbling, she knows that its not as easy she would think, its time for some action, she turns around , smiles gloriously…

Shaan is blown, as he had been waiting for this from morning, she removes her band from her right hand, picks all her hair up, turns back, giving him a complete look on her, ties a poni above her head, turns back smiles at him once again…Shaan looks at her suspiciously…though his smile had been broadened…

Khanak in her mind, time for some PF (Personal foul or flagrant foul)!!! (winks to herself, gets the ball)

Aayush: (claps his hands for both of them) come on papa!!! Come on mom!! (this brings back Shaan to earth)

He looks at her, she's biting her lower lip and smiling, he wonders…

Aayush blows the whistle, as if telling the game has started once again…Khanak goes for the dribbling, waits for Shaan, he comes opposite to her, as expected by her, she makes an eye contact with him, he for time being is distracted from the ball, looks into her eyes, he has slowed down, she turns her back to him, he comes back and once again starts trying to snatch the ball from her, he's behind her…His arms comes in touch of her bare ones, she knows its working…though his touch creates havoc in her insides, but she's not supposed to lose her senses, but she has to make him lose his senses…

He feels like taken away with the feeling, her long neck, her bare arms, her camisole's plunging neck, everything haunts him…He's attracted towards her neck, she turns around, they make an eye contact, they are more closer…Aayush can just see that, they are just dribbling, no actually only Khanak is dribbling, Shaan is just behind her, closer to her…

Aayush wonders why both of them are not shooting, he blows the whistle….

Still no response from both of them…

Aayush: Mom!! Papa!!! (yells)

Shaan suddenly straightens, Khanak does too, she gets back into action…

Khanak: it's a PF!!!

Shaan looks at her, even Aayush does..

Aayush: kya mom???

Khanak: PF Aayush!! It's called personal foul!! (stopping her laugh)

Shaan: What?? (shakes his head)

Khanak: you know a personal foul or flagrant foul!! (shrugs)

Aayush has no idea he looks on her, Shaan is still not out of their intimate moment…

Khanak: it's a violation, telling that, you are not supposed to touch your opponent illegally!! (makes her point)

Now Shaan gets what all this is about, thinks not bad Mrs. Khandelwal!! Cheating aah!!

Khanak: aisa ek violation hain Aayush!!! Aapke papa se hi pooch lo…

Aayush looks at Shaan, Shaan is not surprised, but amused, of her ways!!! He nods slowly at Aayush…

Khanak: (smiles broadly) see!!! Now I get a free throw!!! (declares happily)

Aayush, once again looks at Shaan, Shaan just nods…

Khanak: toh main…(looks at Shaan)

Shaan: main kya?? (simply looking at her, now she's aware, releases her hair from the cofines of the band)

Without any wasting of time, Aayush blows the whistle…Khanak does some dribbling and shoots the ball into the basket, it gets into the basket, she gets a single point….She's very much excited and laughs heartily….

Shaan: (in his mind) cheater!!! (smiles)

Before they could go back with their game…
