In last two days, nothing much had happened, Khanak had approached him for the help, she was behaving normal, as she used to behave with others. Shaan had talken with dadi about her behavior; dadi had promised him that everything would be fine and also promised that she would talk to her slowly. Shaan had left it to dadi for solve, as he trusted her than himself.
A beautiful Friday morning, dadi had called Khanak on Thursday night, to remind her visit to Khandelwal's, Khanak had promised that she'll be there with Aayush. Dadi had also made her agree to stay the night. Khanak had accepted that solely for Aayush's sake, his eyes would lit up whenever he would meet them, seeing him happy, she would have felt contented for his happiness.
She knew he was missing the attention he would get when her family was alive, now he was getting attention from Khandelwal's, he loved it, and she didn't have any problem. Problem was her feelings, which was getting stronger day by day, whenever she used to see Shaan, she had felt some joy in her, like we would say butterflies in stomach. She was now clear that even Shaan had similar feelings, he had shown her the signs. But she feared, what had happened 2 years back, she didn't wanted that to happen in her life once again. May be if she could tell that to Shaan, he would back up from her. She decides to tell him that, which even her closest friends would have not known…
Shaan knew that today, that's Friday, Khanak and Aayush will be staying the night in his house for first time. He had felt like as though his spirits were pouring… He was excited from the core. He knew that today he's gona ride her for the first time, she had agreed to that reluctantly. He was glad atleast she had accepted that. He was waiting near the car. There she comes with a small bag, which carried hers and Aayush night clothes, but Aayush is not there, she comes to him, he has a broad smile on his face. They both smile at each other, he opens the door for her, she has kept her bag at the back. She smiles a thank you and takes her seat.
Khanak: if you don't mind can we pick Aayush from school (politely)
Shaan: ofcourse Khanak (smiles)
Ride to the school was cool, as his school was nearby to hospital, both of them are waiting for Aayush, standing about 3feet away and leaning on the car.
Shaan: so how was your day?? (casually)
Khanak: as usual stressing, seeing so much pain who'll feel good, if I would have healed their pain then I would have told it was a great day (actually a small kid had passed away due to an accident, she's feeling bad because she couldn't save that kid)
Shaan: well you can heal my pain (softly but confident) (easing her)
Khanak: sorry??? (no idea)
Shaan: nothing!! (calm) if would've healed everyone's pain, then people would have called us god but not next to god… (thoughtful)
Khanak (turns toward him, he's looking at her) smiles a glorious smile : right!!!
Aayush comes, he's happy to see his Shaan uncle, gives his bag to Khanak, coolly goes and sits in front. Aayush talks to Shaan and Khanak whole way. He is very excited.
All three of them enter Khandelwal house, Aayush is in Shaan's arms and Khanak next to Shaan holding the bag. Dadi sees them enters, she's happy to see them like that, they would make a great couple, the thought brings smile to her face, Madhvi, Sunil, Khushboo and Akshay also joins. Greetings and hugs all are done. Khushboo and Khanak are behaving like as though two old friends have met after a long time. Khanak is all smiling, seeing her happy, Shaan is very much happy. Aayush has already changed in Shaan's room. Khandelwal house is filled with joy.
Khushboo: Khanak humne suna hai ki tum achche khaana banaati ho?? (Khanak is sitting next to Khushboo, Shaan is opposite to her, as she hears that, she glares at Shaan, Shaan easily shrugs that)
Khushboo: Khanak, aur humne yeh bhi suna hai ki tum kheer bahut achchi banati ho??
Aayush: haan aur parantha bhi, aur rajma bhi, actually mom sab kuch achchi banati hai aur haan mom bahut achcha gaati bhi hai. (proud)
Dadi: achcha yeh toh hame pata hi nahi tha, chalo bhai, aaj kHnak hamari gaana gayegi..
Akshay: dadi not to forget Kheer, my mouth is watering already (smiles)
There's laughter around, Khanak promises that she'll make one at the time of dinner. Khushboo gushes on singing, Khanak agrees to it reluctantly.
Akshay: ek minute Khanak, Shaan jaa na, guitar leke aana…
Khushboo: yes Shaan, come on… (Shaan smiles and goes to bring his guitar)
Khanak is surprised hearing that, she had never thought. Khushboo requests her to sing tu bin bataye from Rang de Basanti.Shaan brings the guitar, he's ready to play it.
Aayush: aap yeh gaana kiske liye gaa rahe ho?? (smiles)
Khanak: kiske liye?? (no idea) ok, I dedicate this song to all of you(including Shaan), because jab se aap log meri zindagi mein aaye ho, meri life baahut meeti ho gayi hai (glorious smile)
She sings and Shaan plays the guitar according to the tune.
