Shaan: Khanak..? (She moves forward and leans on his chest, her hands at his back)

Khanak: ya.. he had told once..that..(chokes, shaan rubs her back, in a way to calm her)

He waited, she continued..

Khanak: That he would take birth as my child in my womb..(her tears make their way down)

Shaan: well that's a good thing!

Khanak: hmm..

Shaan: In that way, we can bring your mom, bhaiyaa and bhabhi..

She's out of his arms, she's confused, no more tears..

Shaan: aur nahi toh kya..iss baar tumhara dad aayenge, next time ke liye tumhare mom, aur ek next..(is not allowed to complete)

Khanak: Shaan! Its not funny!

Shaan chuckles..

Khanak: ek second, u mean we'll be having.. I mean..

Shaan: yes Khanak! (understanding her reference, that they'll have more than one baby) how could you think that I'll stop for one?? (his eyebrows danced)

Khanak: No! you're kidding right??

Shaan: nope! Fully serious! (makes a straight face)

Khanak: That won't be happening! (firm)

Shaan: why?? (startled)

Khanak: bus ho gaya na Shaan..do bachche! Its all! Abhi bhi mujhe samaj nahi aa raha hain, ki main, ek choti si bachche ko kaise sambhalungi?? Aur Aayush?? Aur tum?? Uff! (sigh!)

Shaan: mujhe kyun?? Waise madam aapko bata do, Aayush is more dependant on me!

Khanak twitches her lips..

Khanak: Trust me Shaan, this one will be completely on my side! He/ She wouldn't change his/her side like Aayush! (folds her arms across her chest)

Shaan chuckles..

Shaan: seriously??

She simply nods with a staright face..For Shaan, she looked simply gorgeous, even in her night clothes, her extra glow had added on to her beauty, at this time she was looking too cute! He just wanted to give her a tight hug!

That's what followed and both ended up lying on the bed, giggling, laughing over..

He's on top of her, he stares at her down, she stares back, wanting to loose herself in him once again..She pulls him down, by his collar, he's surprised..

Khanak: Make love to me Mr. Khandelwal! (she orders)

Shaan: As you wish Mrs. Khandelwal! (he obliges)

Taking her lips into his, he tries to be extra gentle with her, kissing her belly lovingly, whispering sweet little things to his to be new born baby..She had giggled all the way! But she had listened to each and every word of him! She was happy! She got to know from him, that was the best thing! Pushing her scary thoughts away..she fell into a blissful sleep in his arms..

Morning rays seeped in, he searched frantically for her on the bed side, its her who would get up late..but for some reason she was not there..stretched some more..he got to touch the fine cloth of her skirt, which she wore last night after..he opened his eyes..to find her sitting up on the bed, holding her head..He was completely up in the next moment..

Shaan: Khanak are you ok??

Khanak: (she turns to him, smiles gloriously) Good morning!

Shaan: Khanak what's wrong??

Khanak: kya?? Kuch bhi toh nahi..(shrugs)

Shaan: khanak..

Khanak: nothing Shaan..(she hesitated a little) just the morning sickness..(she smiled)

He smiled back too..Khanak knew the look on his face, she got up from the bed sharply, looks at the door..

Khanak: I will just go see Aayush..(saying, she runs from there)

Shaan: slow down Khanak! You are not suppose to run..(he chuckles) (she stops after hearing him behind her, she was out of the room, he couldn't see her, she touched her tummy, caressed it, smiled and walked slowly to Aayush's room)

Khanak made Aayush get up, this time keeping the alarm thing near his ears, Aayush had shrieked and she had a good laughter at his expense, he glared at his mom, later he too joined his mother in the laughter, Khanak remembered Shaan's words..'Aayush will be so happy'..Now, what is she suppose to tell him?? She declines the thought, and rushes him to get freshen up..She gets back to her room, he's on phone, he seems serious, Shaan didn't see her, she shrugged, if at all anything was serious, he would tell her, she thought and headed down the stairs, how was she supposed to spill it out?? Yes, she did tell her MIL about this, but she wasn't sure then, now she's sure!

When she reached dining table, only dadi and Madhvi were present, Khanak is shy and nervous,before Khanak could utter anything, it was all done, her eating habits had been changed, her duty timings were changed, all her free time would be spend by sleeping! She was in utter shock, but she didn't speak in defence, she agreed to them..

At somepoint she was scared, she knew the first trimester would be toughest, what if?? NO! that can't happen! She schooled herself..She smiled, and she finished her breakfast without uttering anything, just listening to all the instructions carefully, so that she wouldn't mess up anything..It's her first, usually there will be mistakes with the first one..but she won't be doing anything, that would end her up with blunder..Nope! She won't! She thought!

Shaan and Aayush head downwards together, Shaan smiles broadly looking at her, she gets up to serve them breakfast, Aayush makes a fuss of not eating that and this! She waits for him to complete his tantrums plus his breakfast, she makes him eat, Shaan eats his breakfast, enjoying his morning entertainment, Khanak hands Aayush's glass of milk and Shaan's glass of juice..Madhvi returns from kitchen..

Madhiv: aur tumhara doodh kaun peeyega??

Khanak: doodh! (makes a face) can I drink juice??

Mahdvi: No Khanak! Its milk!

Aayush: yay! Abb mom bhi peeyegi dooodddhhh!!! (He stretches on doodh part and gets a good laugh)

Shaan controls his laughter too..

Madhvi: Khanak unn dono ko chodo! Dono ke dono badmaash hain! (glares at both of them, but end up smiling)

Khanak: badmaash nahi shaitaan! (looking at Shaan)

Shaan shrugs with what? Three of them finally left, Khanak is asked to get back by afternoon..

After about 2 hrs, Khanak is found seated in cafeteria, finishing up with the write up's, she's joined by Aman!

Aman: Hey! What's up? (takes a seat in front of her)

Khanak: hey! Nothing special! Just the charts! (eyes the number of files in front of her)

Aman: I see! Where's Shaan??

Khanak: He's in I guess! He's scheduled here today!

Aman: oh! I wanted to talk about the clinical trial once again..i know, he's already refused to join in, but I still want to give him another chance..

Khanak: clinical trial?? (she has got her ears now)

Aman: ya..didn't Shaan tell you?? (She shakes head in no)

Aman: ok! The clinical trial is about..(he explains her, Khanak is excited hearing about the plan)

Khanak: wow! But why did Shaan refuse the idea..

Aman: I don't have any idea..he told that he love the idea but morning when I called him, he refused it..

Khanak doesn't utter anything after that, she worries a lot, Aman leaves after talking some random stuff..It was time for her to get home, she didn't meet Shaan, was she the reason??? She left out a huge breath and walked out of the hospital..

She had reached home safe, her uneasiness, giddiness were back, and she just wanted to lose herself in her bed, in her sheets, in that deep slumber! She ate her lunch, without anyone coaxing her..She had to go for the check up for gynac, she had fixed up her appointement for tomorrow, she had told about this to Madhvi, Shaan didn't not know..

Madhvi had promised that she would accompany her, Khanak didn't have any problem..Khanak had agreed smilingly..Its her sleepy time! She changed her clothes, and just slept!

Shaan returned early and today was Aayush's art class, so Shaan knew that Aayush won't be there..Its all about him and his wife! He had wondered when he had learnt that she had already left without informing him?? When he was in the hospital too??

When he entered his room, he found her sleeping, he smiled and shut the door behind him, showered, changed and joined her on the bed, engulfing her completely her back is towards him..

She holds his hands, which is on her tummy, he knows that she's awake..

Shaan: Hey! (popped his head up and rests it on hers)

Khanak: hmm..

Shaan: how are you feeling??

Khanak:good! (saying that she releases herself from him he backs off a little, she turns around faces him)

He knows that something is eating her up, he wonders..

Shaan: Everything fine??

Khanak: yeah..(She hugs him and rests her head on his chest, he hugs her back)

Khanak: why didn't you tell me about clinical trial?? (speaks to his chest)

Shaan: trial?? Oh! That's not a big deal Khanak! I can get an opportunity further also, but now its you me and our baby!

Khanak: (She releases herself, looks into his eyes) But Shaan! It is seriously wonderful, Aman told me about everything..you know if that clicks out, you'll be one of the pioneer to find out the medicine for cancer! Why don't you give it a try??

Shaan goes to reply to her..

Khanak: Shaan, im here! I won't go anywhere! Trust me please enroll yourself into this programme..

Shaan: Khanak! I want to spend this time with you! With our baby!

Khanak: I know Shaan! but this is important for your career life!

Shaan: but Khanak, you even know that it would take my time.. I may be late all the days too..i would go into frustration too..

Khanak: Shaan I promise you to give you the happiness! I promise to be awake every time you'll be, I promise to be there whenever you want me at your side..i promise to erase those frustration for you..i..

Shaan: bas Khanak! Aur kitna promises karogi tum? Kuch mere liye bhi bachchake rakko! (chuckles)

Khanak: Shaan! we are talking serious stuff!

Shaan: ok Khanak! Main sign karlunga! Abb khush!

Khanak's face breakes into huge smile..

Loved it..😊 Khanak was so emotional talking about her dad and Shaan teased her even then..😆 Good..She came to know about the trails and requested Shaan to persue it..Liked how Khanak spoke about it and another misunderstanding is avoided..😊 Awww!!! Her promise was so cute..😃
