Part 96

2 weeks later..

He entered into a dark room; from past two weeks, this was the time he would enter, everyday he would try his best to make to the dinner time, but his work schedule had become hectic, they had tried their clinical trial on 3 patients, and they were not successful in saving their lives..They had to do more research to get through..He was putting his evenings into it, everyday he came into a dark room, but he knew she wouldn't sleep..

This was the same day too..he walked to the balcony..there she was..sitting on what looks like yoga mat, and may be trying to meditate and the next second she would open her eyes, leaving a sigh..her stomach was queasy all the day, she had got used to that..Her frequent trips to the washroom also didn't help..She never complained or whined..She would never do that..She would treasure everything in herself, each and every feeling, each new experience, her new profound happiness..She fulfilled all her promises which she made to him, she would make him laugh even after a hectic day too..She would fill him with all the information of the whole day, her cravings, which were driving herself made, but there were restrictions for food habits, she followed everything to T.

She turned abruptly to him..

Khanak: Shaan! (makes a crying face and turns to front)

He smiled and sat next to her, before her asking for a hug, he hugged her sideways, she leaned in..Her mood swings were normal for him, since the time she was married to him..But she never cried, but the hormonal changes in her was making her cry, but all these are for the blissful feeling..Holding a bundle of joy and happiness in their arms..

Shaan: feeling better?? (he asked looking down at her)

She noded into his chest, he smiled, he knew that she has to get the rest and she has to sleep..without anymore questions, he releases himself from her, gets up, she looks up at him, he stretches his hand for her, she smiles and holds his hand, she slowly gets up with his help, her tummy was still flat, for the baby bump, they had to wait.. for a longer period..

He made her sleep on the bed, she didn't wanted to, she wanted to talk..but before she could voice her wish..

Shaan: Khanak, so jao..(she opens her mouth to say something) No Khanak! Sleep! (He pats her cheeks)

She acknowledges by closing her eyes, he bends down and plants a peck on her lips, she smiled and blushed at the same time, he smiled and got up from the bed..

Freshens up, changes and joins her on the bed, the moment she knew he was on the bed, she cuddles herself to him, he lets her nest in him, his arms securely wrapped around..

He still had to work upon many things, he had deliberately avoided travelling part, Aman didn't know about the 'good' news..As they say, when a women is expecting, she's not suppose to open up the news to the world till she complete her 1^st trimester except the family..

Khanak didn't believe about the mundane things, but she was fine with it, as she didn't advertise personal life to people, she would keep her things to herself..And that's how it is supposed to be!

Morning rays seeped in, he wanted to calm his mind, so this is it, he's taking a leave, and he would expect her to take a leave also, may be even Aayush would take if he knew about it..They didn't have any idea as to how to reveal it to him, she was shy, and they were sure he would come up with numerous questions which would eventually make their cheeks turn red and they would hung their head down as to what they would reply..

Aayush was not able to play with his mom, his father was all day late, though Shaan would make up to the time during their breakfast and during the drive to school..But still, he didn't have any idea why his mom was being super whiny, unwell all the day..She was whiny before too, he agreed, but not to this extent..

Shaan opened his eyes, as usually he was the first one..She was in her arms, irritated by the sun rays, covering her face with her hands, hiding herself in him, he welcomed her whole heartedly, snuggling closer, falling into a blissful sleep in his arms..he let her sleep, he knew she worried about him..

Worried because, well for now he didn't have any answer..was it because of the trial?? Or was it because it was her first?? He also knew that she won't be able to hold it up, she would tell him..This time he was changed too, he had spilled everything to her, his failure! Khanak had changed it to the whole team failure! He knew she would never like the fact, that he blamed himself, while the whole group was at a fault..May be its wrong to say fault, they tried their best, cancer stage would have exceeded the limit before they could help the patients to bring out of it..Or as they say, birth and death should be left in god's hands..

He smiled looking down at her, she slowly opened her eyes, as usually rubbing her eyes, he stopped her hands from rubbing it more, she peered through her eyes, blinks and then now she's awake!

Khanak: Good morning!

He smiled, she sat up straight, pulling her shirt edges downwards and then stretches her arms, puts her palm on her stomach, she smiled, he just watched..

Shaan: How's my baby doing??

Khanak: Great! By the way its our baby!

Shaan chuckles..

Shaan: I thought you would tell, he/ she is only your's! (grinning, moves forward and his chin is placed on her shoulder tip)

Khanak: arrey wah! Aaj janab ka mood toh bahut achcha hain! Kyun?? Hospital nahi jaana hain?? (turns to him)

Shaan: nahi! Aaj chutti hain! (declares, and leans back on the headboard, stretching his arms)

Khanak: why??

Shaan: bas aise hi..

Khanak: Shaan sab teek hain na?? (looking at him, with a worried look)

Shaan: haan Khanak! (sits up, cups her face) kyun main apne bte le liye aur patni ke liye chutti nahi le saktha kya?? No Khanak! Its done! I've decided to stay home, so im doing it! (when she starts to resist him, but befor she could speak, he speaks it out)

Khanak: Fine! Stay! (shrugs) main toh jaa rahi hun! (smiles)

Shaan: Khanak main tumhare liye chutti le raha hun, aur tum mujhe chod ke jaa rahi ho?? Jao jao..Shayad abb tumhe meri zaroorat hi nahi hain..(pouts)

Khanak smiles, but still continues her play..She moves away from him and slides out of the bed, he is staring at her..he had expected her to do something..but nothing! What's wrong with her??

Shaan : (as she moved to the door, he couldn't shut his mouth) Where are you going?? Night clothes main hospital ja rahi ho?? (teases at the same time furious)

Khanak turns to him, flashes her million dollar smile and she's out of the room, he just sits there with his big face, upset..

After about 10 minutes, she comes back with Aayush..

Aayush: Good morning papa! (runs to him)

Shaan: Good morning champ! (smiles and hugs him)

She goes and sits on the couch and watches the duo interact..

Shaan: I thought you were getting ready to school..

Aayush: Today is a holiday! Aisa mom ne kaha..(both of them looks at her)

She sits there with the most innocent face, quiet, she's just looking down..

Shaan: arrey wah! Issi baat ke liye aapki mom ko hamare taraf se ek tight squeashy hug! (both of them grin and moves towards her)

Khanak: No! wahi pe khade raho dono! (when they were about 2 feet away)

Aayush: Mom..maine kya kiya??

Shaan realizes why she said no for her squeashy hug, mouths sorry to her..She smiles..

Khanak: Aayush kuch nahi kiya aapne..chalo aap dono aaj ke liye plan banao main fresh ho kar aati hun..

When she returns, there's no one in the room, she wonders, joins the family for the breakfast..When she enters the dinning table, Shaan runs to the room to freshen up, she takes her seat..Her stomach is once again queasy, she serves for Aayush, takes her time to decide as to what she could eat, finally she settles down for paratha with pickle, Shaan joins back..

Breakfast goes on with lots of laughter and talking..she whines to eat the second paratha, the same is with Khushboo..Their MIL places the khichdi bowl, both of them make faces..

Khushboo: Mom! We'll have fruit!

Khanak nods to her…

Khushboo: actually mom, I want dosa! (mouth watering?)

Khanak: mom meri liye bhi!

Madhvi: aur kuch?? Who bhi bata do..

Khanak: nahi mom bas! Ek dosa kaafi hain! (declares, smilingly)

Shaan: ek??

Khank ok..one and a half..(Shaan shakes his head)

Khushboo: yes mom!

Akshay: bas dosa? Chote you should have seen the number of items for dinner..(shakes his head)

Both of them giggles..

Shaan: kyun?? Poora ka poora restaurant ka menu tha kya yaha pe??

Akshay: correct! Kuch aisa hi tha! (Shaan chuckles)

Aayush: dadi mere liye bhi!

Madhvi: ofcourse beta! Tumhare liye bhi! (bends down and pecks him on cheek)

Aayush: Dadi main, dosa ka raha hun, toh mujhe doodh nahi chayiye..

Madhvi: teek hain, par evening toh tumhe peena hi padega!

Aayush nods..

Khanak: hmm..toh main bhi sham ko peeyungi! (declares and pushes the glass away)

Madhvi: nahi! Tumhe abhi peena padega!

Khanak: mom! Abhi toh aapne Aayush ko permission..(not allowed to complete)

Shaan: Mom ne Aayush ko permission di hain, tumhari liye nahi..(smiles and pushes the glass back towards her)

Sunil: pee lo beta nahi toh tumhare mom naak pakad ke pila degi..

That's bad! Khanak thinks..She drinks it..

They all move to the living hall..

Khushboo: Akshay tum bhi chutti le lo, waise bhi aaj doctor ka appointment hain, Shaan ko bhi chutti hain!

Akshay: appointment ke liye main hospital aata hun na, abhi ek urgent meeting hain..

Khushboo: Akshay tumhare liye harr meeting important hothi hain..Dad..(looks at Sunil)

Sunil: bhai, yeh kaam maine tumhare pati ke liye nahi di..(puts his hands up in defence)

Khushboo: toh phir?? Akshay rukk jao na..

Akshay: Khushboo, tum harr subah yahi request karthi ho..

Mahdiv: that's because, she wants you by her side!

That , makes Shaan guilty, he looks at Khanak, who is sitting on the couch with Aayush, Aayush is showing her some pics, Khanak is making faces and shaking her head, Aayush is laughing..

Shaan: Tum dono kya kar rahe ho??

Khushboo: Khanak! Kya tum aaj mera saath doctor ki appointment ke liye chalogi??

Khanak: hmm..

Shaan: No bhabhi!

Khushboo: Shaan, sorry maine tumse nahi poocha!

Akshay: Khushboo, who Khanak ke liye chutti kar rakha ahin, aur tum Khanak ko hi le jana chahthi ho?

Khushboo: toh phir?? Tum dekho unn dono main pyaar kitna hain?? Aur tum mere liye kuch bhi nahi karthe ho..

Akshay takes their fight back to their room, Shaan is drawn towards to Aayush and Khanak..

Khanak: Aayush who do mujhe! (Aayush starts to run, but Khanak wouldn't get up from the couch)

Shaan: kya chal raha hain dono ke beech main??

Khanak: Shaan! get me the camera which Aayush is holding!

Aayush: Mom! Aap bhaag kyun nahi rahe ho??

Khanak is at a loss of words, Shaan and Khanak look at each other..

Madhvi: kyun ki aapke mom nahi bhaag sakthi hain!

Aayush: kyun??

Madhvi: beta who..(she sits on the couch opposite to Khanak, makes Aayush sit next to her, Sunil has already left to office)

Madhvi: iss liye kyun ki..aapke mom ke andar, ek chota sa baby hain issliye..

Aayush: baby?? (Aayush looks at his mom and papa)

Shaan is grinning, while Khanak is shy..

Madhvi: haan! Abhi aap aur saval mat poocho, bas aapke mom ko extra rest karne do!

Saying that she leaves from the hall, Aayush walks over to his mom..

Aayush: Mom! Mujhe abhi ke abhi baby chayiye!

Khanak: abhi??

Shaan: Aayush..(he sits next to Khanak) baby ke liye thoda sa intezaar karna paddega!

Aayush: yay! I'll be having a baby to play! (jumps up in joy) sister ya brother??

Shaan: hmm..

Aayush: I want a sister!

Shaan: done! (grins)

Aayush: mom toh phir, aap bhi doctor ke paas jaogi??

Khanak: abhi nahi! Do hafte ke baad!

Aayush: kya main bhi aapke saath chal saktha hun??

Loved it..😃 It was so cute..:) Shaan is very busy in trails as he expected..He'll be successful soon in the trails..Khanak's mood swings..😆 Awww!!! Aayush yet know about Khanak's pregnancy..Kids do question many things in general..😆

Glad Shaan took a day off..😊 Khushboo whining and complaining..😆 And Khanak like a kid doesn't want to drink milk..😆 So cute!!!

Finally Aayush came to know that Khanak is carrying through Madhavi..Nice touch..And she asking him not to question furthur..😆 Aayush immediately want a sister..😆
