yo!
whaddup people?😆
yea..I don't know what I'm really saying..
anywaysss..do you guys remember the story I had written a while ago? A while as in..sayy, 3 months ago?😆 Well, I bring to you part duex of that SS! 🤣
Yes, I know..I can be very quick with my updates..no need to praise me about it. Really, no need at all. 😆
The first part to this story is on
page15. So, if you don't remember it..or have never read it, please do go and check that before you read this part.😳
anywho..this part is dedicated to Beeni and Naina! Beeni, because she showed me the SBB video and I promised her a present..and Naina, because she constantly kept reminding me that I actually had a story to update.😆 OH! and also because the both of them spammed in this thread. Thanks guys, I really needed you two to bond over my laziness.😡😆
I hope everyone likes this part..I personally hate it. I mean, it's all jumbled up and what not..and half of it doesn't even make sense.😆
I realized the last part made them both(as in Shaan and Khanak) sound a bit impish..so I mellowed them in this chapter.😆 meh..I know that doesn't make sense.😆
Ignore the mistakes, it'll be hard to do considering there are TONS..but do try.😆
*end of the long and boring note*enjoy the update!😊

What the hell.
How hard can it really be to come up with a decent idea? He felt so frustrated with the concept that Shaan never wanted to fall in love again. Ever. That will not happen anyways..Khanak will murder you before you ever lay eyes on someone else. He realized his conscience had a point. And plus, Shaan knew that no one else could replace Khanak any way; for she had held captive his heart 'and he would have it no other way.
He sighed. This was all too much for his poor brain to comprehend.
Maybe a good night sleep will help me? Shaan was so tired with all of the hustle-bustle going on his life that he fell asleep as soon as his head came in contact with the pillow.

About the same time, Rai haweli;
Dear diary,
Another day passed without me talking to Shaan. He's been acting really weird lately; whenever I call him, he always hangs up with a lame excuse of 'work'. I mean, Shaan and work? Even I know that won't happen soon, I wonder what he's hiding from me.
I know he loves me but the phattu refuses to say the first word! If he doesn't propose to me soon, I'm starting to think maybe I should? If the guy is being an idiot, it should be the girl's responsibility to make him realize his stupidity right? Alright then, I have to go now' it's three in the morning and I have my final paper due tomorrow. Graduation Day is coming close; I can't believe I'm almost done with college! It has been a nice experience but I NEVER want to go thru it again.

Closing her diary, Khanak made her way into the bathroom to change for bed. Coming out in her pajamas, Khanak combed her hair and made her way to bed. Sending a quick prayer to the one above, the petite girl soon fell into a serene sleep.
--
Two weeks later; Khanak's birthday:
Around 4 PM;
Khanak ran up to her room when she heard the beep noise that her phone had made.
It was a text message from Shaan, a frown formed on her face as she read it to herself..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KHANAK! Damn'I really wish I could make this time but dad's got me loaded with work. With the new project coming in, I have to stay back and make sure everything stays in order. Mom and dad are going to be there in a while, unse tumhara gift lena mat bhool na. Love you bud! 'Shaan
p.s. I'll call you once I get out of the client's clutches.

What was going on around here? Suddenly, everyone had gotten busy. Her dad had a meeting to attend and her mom just sat like she didn't have anything to do. A day usually filled with wishes and noise was turning out very different. No one was preparing for the big dinner that they usually had every year.
A dejected Khanak fell on her bed and heaved a sigh. This birthday of hers was surely going to very differently, and not in a good way, she thought. One, everyone around her was acting all weirdly and two, Shaan was not going to be here. He was always here for her.
--
An hour later, the Khandelwal family, all except Shaan, had arrived. Sunil had been ecstatic that whole day, reason being he was going to see his best friend and of course'it was Khanak's birthday. Everytime he laid eyes on her smiling face, he grew all the more eager to have her as his bahu. She was the perfect wife for Shaan, a girl with a heart of a child and a backbone made of steal was exactly what his son needed in his life.
"Happy birthday beta," both Sunil and Madhavi had wished Khanak, to be returned with a big hug and thank-you.
Khushboo and Akshay had wished her next. Khushboo could not have been happier knowing that Khanak would be a part of her family. Akshay had grown to love Khanak like his own sister so he was all the more happy when Shaan had told everyone of his love.
"Kisse dhoond rahi ho Khanak?" asked Khushboo with mock innocence as she saw Khanak looking behind her to the doorway. A small blush crept up to her cheeks as Khanak saw the teasing glint in her eyes.
"Kuch nahi..just checking to see if err..Shaan came," she had somehow hoped that he was lying about the meeting and actually wanted to surprise her, but a disappointed Khanak saw that Shaan was actually not coming.
When time for dinner came, everyone had migrated to the backyard and made their way to the little cots. It was a tradition that both families had set; every year, Khanak's birthday would be celebrated in Dhulwadi with their annual dinner while Shaan's would be celebrated in Mumbai. Being the nature lover she was, Khanak had insisted the first year that they all have dinner outside, under the stars. One'two'three, as the years followed, they had all grown to enjoy the format and soon it became part of the tradition that they would all feast under the night sky on that day of every year.
The weather was getting chilly, with the winds playing at her face. The moon was shinning its best, she noticed. Khanak was back to her usual chirpy self but even an idiot could realize that her smile was not actually reaching her eyes. She laughed, she smiled, she cracked her usual jokes but she felt that something was amiss. Everything felt incomplete. Nothing was the same without him. Without Shaan's boisterous laugh and his presence filling her senses, Khanak did not feel the same enthusiasm anymore. This is going to be a problem! One day without him and I'm already going into depression. Forget him Khanak, just be happy today, she told herself.
Khanak heard a rustle in the leaves and just when she was about to walk up and check, she heard a voice. A shiver passed through her spine as she recognized the voice. Shaan was here. But what in the world was he saying?
Khanak stood up to see where his voice was coming from; she slowly walked a couple steps forward when she heard it again from behind her. It was closer now. She quickly turned around to see that he was standing nearly inches away from her, a smile plastered on his face. There was a smile on everyone's face, she realized.
"When I see you smile, I see a ray of light..shinning right through the rain.
There's nothing in the world that can ever do what the touch of your hand can.
When I look into your eyes, I can see my forever in them.
When I see you, I see my everything.
You are all I ever wanted.
All I ever dreamt of.
Here we are, heart to heart, and I promise we will never be apart.
With love that will stay till the end of time and a promise to be at your side'with every step you take, I, Shantanu Khandelwal, am asking you if I can have the honour of being married to you,"
Mouth slightly open, Khanak could do nothing but stare. She did not realize she was crying till the first tear slowly made its way down her cheek. Khanak came out of her trance when someone behind her made a noise somewhat close to a cough and a sniff.
He was waiting for an answer. Khanak! Say something!
"Y'yes, yes I wi..will marry you,"
Everything past that went by in a daze. Shaan picking her up and twirling her, both of them taking their parents blessings, hugging Akshay bhaiya and Khushboo bhabhi, everyone feeding the new couple sweets. The only thing Khanak could remember was the look on Shaan's face. It reflected her own...for she had the same look'of pure happiness.
One more thing Khanak remembered clearly of the night was that Shaan had forgotten the ring at home..in Mumbai. Even with two weeks of preparation and a heartwarming speech, Shaan had managed to make a mistake, earning himself a smack on the back of his head from his dad. Some things will never change...and they never should, she thought happily.

I'm pretty sure there is another part to this.😆 The important stuff is done, I had just written a chapter ainvayi..on the after-effects and Shaan's newly acquired license to romance.😆 Problem is..only half of it is written..so when I end up finishing the other half, I'll post it here. (:
If anyone actually survived that sorry excuse of a story..this is for you.👏
