LK has knowledge of weapons as Valmiki had taught them. The serial should have shown them gaining knowledge from Valmiki rather than always making their mother worry by their actions.😔

True, looks like they are leading a life no different from others, troublesome playful kids. Little bit of their education should also be shown, if not a full episode atleast in a song sequence........ But then, they already showed 5yr old Kush handling the bow and arrow, so they possibly can not revert back on this. Music part, yes, maybe they'll include it soon.

I have noticed another situation.
As far as I know Shri Hanumanji saw luvKush for the first time when they captured the horse.
In thursdays episode they show that luvkush already met hanuman ji but I dont think that is true. I am wondering what is written in other versions.😳

My views:

Pros:

1. I liked the stories. I do like the kamal story in Kuber lok. I actually like to see stories from different versions. The stories from different versions make we want to learn more and I have started reading up on the versions whenever I have the time. I feel very blessed cos more and more of Ramji to read.

2. I love the acting of all the actors involved.

3. Love the songs, direction of the individual episode, sets, and costumes.

Cons:

1. They should have shown the other kids growing up in the palace and their activities. When they show the Ayodhya kids they always show them eating. Don't those kids do any other activity?

2. The Shiksha part of Luv-Kush and all the cousins have been cut completely. Why? They showed Ramji and brothers at the gurukul so nicely.

3. Also, the Lavanasur episodes happened simultaneously with Luv-Kush growing up in almost all versions. Why are not showing these things side by side?
In the original Ramayan they showed Ramji searching for Sita, stories of Hanuman, Vali, Ravan and the other rakshas, Indrajeet and his stories, and things happening to Sita in the Ashoka Vatika in all the episodes. This made the serial very interesting to watch. By focusing only on Luv-Kush the Sagars have slowed the tempo of the serial and made it dull (I won't say boring but dull).

What you say is true... It does create an enthu to know the sources of these stories.... but a sad point that these stories are not found online!!!

But isn't Lavanasur killed when LK and others are infants (as per original)? Which version has LK growing up and Lavansur happenign side by side?

I once read the appendix of a Tulsidas manuscript in a Vedanta Soc, SF bookstore, titled Luv-Kush Kand. Note that it's an appendix, and not an actual part of RCM.

In it, Rama doesn't send Shatrughan to kill Lavanasura. Instead, when Rama has his Ashwamedha yagna, he sends Shatrughan along with his sons Subahu and (another son whose name begins with Y - Shatrughatee isn't the name used here). In course of accompanying the horse, they wage a war against Lavanasura and his sons, and in course of that battle, Subahu and Y_____ kill Lavanasura's sons, while Shatrughan kills Lavanasura. Shatrughan then installs Subahu as the king of Mathura and his other son as the king of Vidisha, and then continues with this horse trip. In other words, in this version, Shatrughan, like his brothers, doesn't become king - only his sons do.

I wonder what Ananda Ramayan has. Khalrika?
