Palak Muchhal reaches hospital to meet her brother Palash Muchhal amid wedding postponement news

Speculation about the wedding of music composer Palash Muchhal and cricketer Smriti Mandhana is growing, especially since Smriti deleted wedding-related posts from her Instagram. Adding to the rumours, Palak Muchhal, Palash’s sister and a singer, was seen visiting him at a hospital in Mumbai.

The wedding of Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana, originally planned for November 23, has been postponed due to a medical emergency involving Smriti's father. This has fueled concerns, especially after Palash was also admitted to a Mumbai hospital shortly after.

Palak visits brother in the hospital

Adding to the worry, Palak Muchhal, Palash's sister and a singer, was seen visiting him at the hospital early Tuesday morning. She kept a low profile, wearing a long blue shirt with black leggings and white wedges, and quickly entered the hospital without interacting with the paparazzi.

Palak Muchhal's hospital visit followed a day after she addressed the wedding speculation on Instagram, asking for privacy for both families. "Due to Smriti’s father’s health, Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been put on hold. We would request all of you to respect the privacy of the families during this sensitive time,” she wrote.

Reason behind the delay of wedding

On the original wedding day, Smriti Mandhana's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, experienced heart attack-like symptoms and was taken to Sarvhit Hospital in Sangli. The next day, Palash was also admitted to a hospital in Sangli. According to Palash’s mother, Palash is very close to Smriti’s father and decided to postpone the wedding rituals until he recovers.

Statement by Palash’s mother

Palash’s mother told Hindustan Times, "Since haldi was done, we didn’t let him go outside. Rote rote ek dum tabiyat karab ho gai. 4 ghante hospital mein rakhna padha. IV drip chadi, ECG hua aur dosre tests hoye. Sab normal aaye but stress bahut hai (He cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated. They kept him in the hospital for four hours. He was given an IV drip, an ECG was done, and other tests were carried out. Everything came back normal, but he is under a lot of stress)"

Smriti removes pics with Palash

Adding to the situation, Smriti has removed all wedding-related content from her Instagram. Smriti and Palash began dating in 2019, keeping their relationship private until July 2024, when they shared an anniversary photo celebrating five years together.
