I think the damage that they've done so far is irrepairable. Even leaving aside the original wish list that posters here contributed - much of which was either true to Valmiki, or in cases of 'poetic licenses' served to smoothen some rough edges, the changes that the Sagars have done in the episodes following Rama's rajabhishek have defied any logic, aside from the historical accuracy.
First of all, even allowing for a Karkati-Lavanasura alliance, it defies logic why Lavanasura, initially spurred by thoughts of revenge, would desist from invading Ayodhya, when he knew that armed with that trishul, he could have wiped out the Raghukul. Of course, in reality, Lavanasura had no plans of war against Ayodhya and was caught napping when Shatrughan invaded. Here, even allowing for the theory that he had plans to avenge Ravan, they've dropped the ball by dropping him from the script.
The next thing - in Valmiki, Rama & Sita spent 10000 years ruling, so at least an episode or so could have been shown of the entire family in happy times. But there was that big rush to get moving with the vanvas, and what made things worse was Sagars showing (to this day) previews of what's to come right up to Sita's passing, thereby spoiling the suspense (even though everybody knows what happens in the end). Instead, the family is shown during and after she is exiled.
Then the circumstances. Granted - most people outside this forum wouldn't necessarily be as generous to Rama as those here, but the way to soften that for them would have been to show Rama asking Lakshman to leave her near Valmiki's ashram, and including a detailed explanation as to why, instead of making Sita the martyr here. An accurate portrayal of that would have been far preferrable.
About the pregnancies, they could have shown the older kids of the brothers being born after K-L, and the younger ones being born in future episodes. In fact, for Shrutakirti, they could have shown her sons being born after she became queen of Mathura.
At this point, I don't see much that is salvagable. This was a golden opportunity for the Sagars to improve on their pretty mediocre original, but instead, they've made it worse.
