(The wednesday updaters: Akhl/Tannistha are busy today, hence this update from me)

Today's episode highlights the plight of Usha and women like her. Which is a very much rampant today in the rural parts of India.

Ayodhya Palace:

This scene was a repeat from yesterday : Sita Mata pressing the lotus feet of Ramji and Ramji telling Ma Sita that both husband and wife are equal and share equal responsibilities. If a wife gets virtues by rendering services to one's husband , the husband also should get the fruits of serving his wife.

At Valmiki Ashram Brahmarshi Valmiki suddenly stops from writing ,he is very much perturbed so his disciple Bharadwaj asks him what made his guru stop writing. Valmikiji replies that whatever is destined to happen in the lives of the protagonists of his epic (Ram-Sita) is about to occur in their lives, and thats why he is highly disturbed.

Tu toh likhta ja ghatna pe ghatna , jan kar vidhna ka khel sara. Gati kahani ko kaise milegi yun jo rukti rahi kavya dhara hatna daitva se tu toh kavi hai ,vyakt karni hai kadvi sachchai.

O' poet thou go on writing the happenings as they go on occurring; thou are the mouthpiece of your epic characters hence write the bitter truth without delay, don't trod away from your duty.

Valmiki says that whatever is about to occur will be written as it is and then he goes into his transcendental form.

We now witness the plight of Usha:

Usha trods crying profusely when she meets a group of women of her village.

An elderly woman asks where was she to go ,Usha sobbingly replies that the God who has sent her to earth will do some arrangements for her to survive. The other women console her saying that since she hadn't sinned she should not leave the village, meanwhile her husband Sanjeevan instigates other men saying that if the sinner was not to get a punishment, the society would go wayward. He tells other men that they should stop other women from supporting her and immediately plung into action ,they encounter their respective wives and prevent them from helping Usha. All the women who wished to help Usha are dragged away by their respective women. The elderly woman ,profusely crying advises Usha to leave the village as she was unsolicited there.

Valmiki comes out of his transcendental mode and begins writing again.

Usha leaves the scene and is crying uncontrollably she meets her son, who is very anxious to know where she was to go. Usha consoles him and asks him to take care of himself and his father since he was the only respite for his father. She says that the village head had alleged her of being a characterless woman and it was upto him to wash that stigma. The young boy assures her that he would do as she said. Usha's son tries to give her some food saying she might be hungry and need it. Usha is overwhelmed and hugs her son , just then Sanjeevan snatches away her son and the food . He goes on to accuse that she was a characterless woman and she didn't have any right to live in the village. Usha fittingly replies that this village wasn't the last resort for her and she was going to demand justice from Raja Ramchandra. Sanjeevan cruelly takes his son away saying that Usha was free to do whatever she wanted but never to enter in his life again.

Vaar karti dihkayi pade na baan chup chup ke vidhna chalaye. Ho woh manav ke Ishwar nirman laksh chahe jisko banaye . Dheer gyani bade bus yahi keh gaye gati karam ki samajh mein na aayi.(2)

Fate invisibly strikes its target irrespective of your status. The learned ones have gone telling that strange are the ways of this fate.....strange are the ways of this fate

Usha makes it to the royal palace as the guards stop her asking her a series of questions about he identity and purpose of visit . Usha says that she was there to get justice from Raja Ramchandra.

The gate keepers reply and assure her her that every body deserves to get justice in Ram-rajya.

But the time she had come was not appropriate and Raja Ramchandra was resting in his inner palace with his queen so she was to wait till the next day where she would get answers in the royal court. Usha pleads saying that her plight was because she had stayed away from her overnight and didn't dare to do that again. The gatekeepers politely deny her an entry and ask her to come back the next day. Heart broken, Usha leaves the place saying she would never return again. Just then spy Bhadransh spots her and senses trouble , he thinks when this woman has managed to reach the royal palace , he might as well update the king about the fateful incident that had happened .

Ramji's fury:

Ramji is very furious and questions Bhadransh why his guards had taken such a drastic step by denying

justice to a helpless woman. Bhadransh says that the guards were just doing their duty and because they thought it inappropriate to disturb the king. Ramji reminds the duties of a king to Bhadransh. He orders his spy to take help of a team of soldiers and look every nook and corner of the city and make sure they find the woman.

Sita Ma is on a swing in a pleasant mood , she spots Ramji very disturbed she asks the reason and asks whether Bhadransh had reported some serious matter. Ramji says that he was worried about the words he(Bhadransh) had not told him. Ramji expresses his doubts as to what made the woman visit the royal palace asking for justice and where had she vanished on the banks of river Sarayu.....He wouldn't get rest until he found the reasons!

<Episode ends on the furious and worried face of Ramji>

Pre-cap: Ram-Sita host a learned Rishi and on asking he informs Ramji and other members of the family that Sita would be blessed with twins! Sita maiyya blushes aww☺️

Great update, Ananya!

Somehow, I'm not liking the typecast of Sanjeevan: one day, he was singing praises of Rama, and now, in addition to casting aspersions on Sita, he adapts an unbelievably hateful attitude towards his wife. Just feeds the stereotypes of those who cast Rama-bhakts as such double-faced hypocrites.😔

And if the Sagars are trying to draw a parallel between their separation and Rama-Sita's (like Usha trodding in the woods barefoot is like how Sita will be doing it later), it looks like a strong anti-parallel: Sanjeevan snatches his son from Usha, but are the Sagars trying to imply that this would be anything like when Sita leaves K-L with Rama? 😕 I didn't like this plot 😔

Another thing I didn't get - why was Rama furious at Bhadransh instead of the guards in question:😕 Bhadransh wasn't the one who turned away the woman? And if he thinks the tradition in question needs to change so that the king can be interrupted anytime, why doesn't he just issue an executive order?😕

Precap: shouldn't Sita be knowing she's pregnant before the rishi does? 😆Or is he actually a vaid?😳

I didn't like this fact too, the showmakers should have taken care of this, why show Sanjeevan as a singer who sings the glory of Ramji?😕 and then who doubts his wife for every small reason..
Leaving the singing part of Sanjeevan and the Ram-bhakti part, I think such people still exist today who have a narrow minded attitude towards their respective wives.😕
Maybe the serial wants to tell that fate doesn't discriminate between rich n poor; god or human and thats why they are drawing parallel with Usha and Mata Sita.
At least Usha could approach Raja Ramchandra for justice but fromwhom should Mata Sita seek justice ?? given that she was a queen and not a subject .
Brahma instructs Valmiki to portray the plight of Mata Sita but will he ask any Valmiki to portray a plight of a comman woman??
I feel that Mata Sita will get justice only when a comman man/woman will start getting justice.

Maybe she knew that she's gonna be a mommy but certainly might have not known that she's gonna have twins!! 😊The rishi tells her😳
