FWIW, I don't know Sanskrit - I went by the word to word translations provided, and drew my conclusions. I was nonetheless disappointed at not finding much on Kanda 6-128, other than a summary at the bottom.

Yes, Pushkar Bhatnagar (he is in the IRS) got this software from USA -Planetarium Gold of Fogware publication, and has fed info. from Valmiki Ramayan which have led to not only birth dates of Ram, Bharat but also various incidents in the life of Rama like date of exile, Khar Dushan episode etc.

Mr. Pushkar Bhatnagar has a book titled "Dating the era of Ramayana" in which he has explained these in detail.

Navaratri/Dussehra comes during Sep-Oct.

And Ram Navami comes in April typically around Apr 20th.

And as per Valmiki Ramayan, Rama's birth date inferred is 10th Jan 5114 BC. There is a difference of 100 days in this 10th Jan - 20th Apr.

This is accounted as follows based on Brihad Samhita and the Precession of Equinox:

Varahamihira in his Brihad Samhita states that the retrogade motion of the Vernal Equinox is 1 deg. for every 72 years, ie 1 day slide in every 72 years.

Taking this in consideration as well as the concept of precession of equinox
Slide of 100 days at the rate of 72 years elapse for 1 day of slide gives 7200 years of elapse time
The difference between 5114 BCE and present is 7123 years which is getting close to 7200 years.

Hey sure Rajnish, if there is any better proof of Ramayan, would be more than happy to know it.
