Here's the next part of the song from the movie Lava Kusa - the song the twins sing in front of the Royal Ladies.

I have tried my best with this one. If there are any mistakes please bear with me. The translation may not be grammatically correct. But I hope the meaning is clear. If not, please let me know. I'll explain it better.

I hope the translation was beneficial.

Thanks Mallika ji for appreciating my work. I love learning Tamil and I adore the language.

Deepa, I agree with you regarding the ending. It was as if Sita was planning it all along.

More than the ending, I was totally against two scenes - The citizens of Ayodhya giving their gold (some even took of their ornaments and gave it) to Ram for Sita Devi's statue and Hanuman running off behind the kids who sang about Ram.

The movie was well made. I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks to loveanime and Khalrika ji for brining it up and to Ananya and Lalitha Janaki for the links and videos.

It was shown in the movie Bajrangbali - one ruler (I forget his name) who had taken shelter with Anjani, who in turn asked Hanuman to protect him, and after Hanuman committed to it, he found out that he was to protect him from Rama!

The way it happened is that Hanuman built a fort/wall around him, and had Rama's name written all over it. Reason Rama was after that ruler was that Vishwamitra was pissed at him and asked Rama to kill him or produce him at his feet, and reason Vishwamitra was pissed at him was that he had omitted to honor him, and the reason he had omitted to honor him was at Narad's behest. So this whole drama took place, and when Rama couldn't kill the ruler, the ruler surrendered to him, and Rama got to deliver him at Vishwamitra's feet, thereby keeping his end of the deal, while Hanuman too had successfully protected him, thereby keeping his. End result: everybody happy.

Sorry if I seem a little rushed in describing this story. This story seems to be a treta yuga instantiation of Krishna's Tulabharam incident, where the moral is that the name of the god is greater than the god himself.

If you go to dailymotion.com and search Bajrangbali, it's the last but 1 episode i.e. 12 or 13.

Allright, thanks for explaining. 😃
@Vibhishna
Great lyrics, you must have put a lot of time and thought into that...wonderful job!👏

Yeah, the kids are sooooo cute.😳 The kid who played Lava went into acting and played Lakshmana in the Telugu Sampoorna Ramayanam Movie.

Thanks Mallika ji.

Lallitha Janaki, thanks for the information on the kid who played Lava. I'll watch the Telugu version when I get time.

By the way, the kids who acted in the Telugu and Tamil versions of Lava Kusa are different, are they not?

Thanks Anaya. I enjoyed translating the songs.

The story I read of the encounter between Hanuman and Ram:

A king of a small country by name Sakuntan was returning on his way from hunting. He saw a place where the sages Vasishta, Viswamitra, Atri and others performing a yagna. Thinking that it would not be appropriate to enter the sacred place when he returned from hunting covered with sweat and blood, ge stood outside the entrance, raised his arms above his head and said, "My salutaions to the great sages like Vashishta." Devarishi Narad instigated Rishi Vishvamitra that King Sakuntan deliberately ignored him (Viswamitra) and the sage extracted a promise from Ram that Sakuntan's head will be at Sage Viswamitra's feet by sunset that day.

Sage Narad further went to Sakuntan and told him about Lord Ram's promise and adviced him to take shelter from Anjana Devi. Anjana Devi in turn summoned Hanuman and left Sakuntan in his care. Hanuman built a fort around Sakuntan with his tail and sat on top of it meditating on Lord Ram's name.

Ram, finding the fort sent forth his arrows but those arrows returned to his feet. While he stared perplexed at this phenomenon, Sage Narad explained that Hanuman protects Sakuntan with the name 'Ram'.He also says that, "Against your name, even you cannot do anything." Rishi Viswamitra says that all this was the result of his ego and he won't pursue it anymore. When Lord Ram is worried about his promise going in vain, Devarishi suggests that Sakuntan bows to Sage Vishwamitra so that his head touches the Rishi's feet. Sakuntan does so and all ends well.

In 'Jai Hanuman', the only deviation was when Ram took his own arrow in the end, Hanuman cries out saying that a Raam baan should never go waste and then someone interferes and suggests that Sakuntan should bow down to Sage Viswamitra's feet.

Wow wow wow Vibs........arpudhamaana mozhi peyarppu...........wonderful!
Yes, I forgot that gold scene....but Hanuman going behind kids singing Rama Naama was not that unacceptable, bcoz he is bound by Rama Naama.
Thanks Chandra & Vibs for the Ram - Hanuman encounter...
